1: Helicopter drop them into a strong riptide.

    2. See if they swim to shore.

    3. They didn't, they're dead and now the cops are looking for you for 2nd degree murder.

    4. Cry

    5. Pack your belonging and go to mexico you just ruined your life.

    6. Done.

  • i only agree with a few parts, staying calm and swimming parallel (north and south)... lol

  • this looks like something from flapjack.

  • @TheMrJaagoo First time i laughed this hard in minutes!! XD roflmao

  • omg its nick from l4d2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1:01 seagull has seizure!

  • Just got caught in one with my buddy while surfing yesterday at Otter Rock, Neport Oregon. One of the scariest moments of my life. Never paddled so hard in my life. We were lucky though people were on the beach to call for help. We paddled parallel to the right along the shore and eventually made it out and caught some waves back into shore. Very luck!!!

  • I nearly died a few years ago from being caught in a riptide. While drowning I remembered that they said to swim parallel to the shore. I tried it and it only made things worse. So I swam directly against the current and eventually saved myself.

  • I got pulled into a riptide 2 weeks ago. It was the most terrifying experience of my life. I panicked big time, and honestly, I can not imagine staying calm during that. I went unconscious from taking in too much water and being exhausted, and after I was saved I was brought to the hospital. I needed to see a psychiatrist afterwards for the trauma of the event. What I'm trying to say is: Take rip tides and currents seriously for your own good.

  • god im so desperate for attention i once faked being carred out by a rip tide to see if anyone would come to my rescue but unfortnatlly no one was paying attention. :(

  • Step 6: After escaping from a riptide, get yourself a bag of oreos, and enjoy!

  • Step 6. I'd be more concerned that a big hand and a stick than the rip-current.

  • How to Survive Reptiles?

  • haha... i saw ur hand... haha

  • man i love this voice actor :)

  • Me and my mates were at the beach and we were in the water it was dusk and we were all in the water one of my mates said "you guys i think it a rip curent" and me and my friend said " i doubt it" and my mate said " im going to get out" and we were like " chiken" then the waves got more powerfull so me and my mate we were drifting about vilontly saying " i think this is a rip curnt" so we tryed sevral times to get to shore when we got there we shouted then a wave swept us under

  • you almost died!

  • too long. did not read

  • starting from 1:30 you can see the hand

  • that gods hand o.0

  • damn that ruined the illusion

  • what if i cant swim

  • then u wont swim in the first place

  • good point

  • then i imagine you wouldn't be stupid enough to be going in the water alone, or at all for that matter.

  • 1:41 i bet

  • Once, I had a dream that I was in a "real life" looking water that was a "pokemon game style" water and i was in that thing going on a piece of wood and it was bringing me in a huge circle... seeing this video just reminded me of that...

    it was a weird dream....

  • how do you survive a reptile?

  • thats easy, you just get out through the rear....

  • That's what I was thinking... :)

    I'm definitely looking forward to

    "How To Survive Reptiles"!

  • amazing animation

  • At first I read this is "How to survive reptiles"

  • lol. I thought it was that too. The waves also look like something growing on a back of a reptile.

  • hehe, i read "how to revive reptiles"

  • lol. me too.

  • I'm horrible at swimming. I almost drowned in a pond at age four, so I never really liked water after that. And after watching this? I don't think I'll step foot near the ocean again. XP

  • i had a near death experiance with a rip tide at age 6 or 7, it still haunts me today, i somehow survived, im 18 now.

  • Why does your channel say 24 then?

  • people lie about there age on yt all the time

  • Why would you want to know their age? :P

  • If an Olympic swimmer doesn't have a chance, then I wonder how badly I'd do trying to swim against the current. (can't swim)

  • Faster? haha take that micheal phelps

  • finally something important

  • get a chill pill.

  • Great work!!! I love the paper caracters... !!!

    =D

  • make cat was put to sleep when this was made

  • howcast got really cheap LOL using card bord :P

  • No, It was the theme. Who the FUCK who risk their life trying to demonstrate this?

  • dude i know it was im just joking chill out

  • im a lifesaver and we always jump into rips, it gets us out a LOT faster. It really helps when trying to help someone stuck in a rip.

  • Whenever I get pulled in, without thinking I panic. I know your not supposed to but, it just happens...

  • People are stupid. They say "don't panic don't panic". What the hell else are you supposed to do when you're fifteen miles away from the shoreline, being pulled further away every second?

  • Somehow I doubt rip tides pull you out 15 miles...

  • Yeah, and I doubt the speeding car on the highway is going a million miles an hour. It's just a figure of speech.

  • I agree, how are you going to NOT panic? Every second you go in, you go in to another spot. It just gets deeper and deeper. No one has the same perspective from getting pulled into the water. I would say that after a while, no matter who you are - even a lifeguard, will panic. No human being doesn't panic, just because they are not saying out loud, that doesn't mean they don't feel panicked...

  • He means, if you panic in water theres a high chance you will start to sink. if you stay calm your more likely to float. Just dont think about it even though its a scary feeling

  • i'm supposed to go scuba diving around a pier on saturday, this will be fun!

  • This sure will be helpful NEXT summer!

  • faster than PHELPS

  • lol i thought the exact thing

  • but not faster than the guy how beat him....

    that was a joke

  • moe fuckalicious moe ticious yo yo.

  • I read "How to survive reptiles".

    The start freaked me out.

  • Gee, thanks for uploading this at the END of summer Howcast. I'm sure the people that already went to the beach will find this extremely helpful, if they haven't been washed out to sea yet.

  • LOL!

  • Wow... I just got back from Florida yesterday, and I had been going to the beach everyday, just waiting to see if a rip tide would come. =P

  • thanks this is very useful

  • You should say were the shore is!! Was it on the left side??

  • Lol i like this one

  • dont go into them

  • 1:35 to 1:38 FAIL haha

  • They could've showed real footage.

  • well that would have been to dangerous

  • To film water? No, it wouldn't have.

  • no i mean to film a person swimming near a rip tide

  • Well obviously, but they didn't really do that. This isn't that informative.

  • lmao

  • hahahahh

  • What if I'm unable to stay calm?!?

  • THEN FUCK YU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That sucks for you.

  • Try not to think about it and relax your muscles. Learn how to swim better so that way in case you are stuck in a riptide, you'll be more confident and won't freak.

  • wats a riptide

  • Did you even watch the video? It says what a riptide is at 0:30

  • SMD ???

  • lol

  • This'll be usefull -_-

  • This is very useful. People die from riptides by trying to swim.

  • yay second

    and good vid its usefull
