chasing me for 2 weeks, they phone me up and once i answer they hang up expecting me to phone them back. its disgusting. if they come to my house they aint leaving the f*****s
Automatic diallers - these are a pain in the butt. My latest clip has a small subsection about the Truecall device, which counters that problem magnificently.
I realise it seems like an expensive option, but it's worth it and any such companies would only ever get through to you once.
I know it reads like an advert, but it is a fucking marvellous piece of kit.
Oh, the chances of them arriving at your door are about nil. Even if they do, their rights to be there are also nil.
Furthermore, IJ (Incompetent Jackasses) are in the mire - employee cuts on the go. There might not be any company left for the 'field collector' to work for if things keep on at their current rate.
These cocks have stopped chasing me now after i sent them a letter stating that under the data protection act i did not give ebay permission to pass my data on to them they dropped it straight away, so i thought all good. well after a week of calls from ebay themselves (i dint answer) they've sent iQOR recovery services onto me now
these guys jus started 2 ring me askin 4 £26.ebay av giv em my details so i told them i hav paid which i av an now they say i owe them £8.they sed i need 2 pay ova the phone but i aint givin all my card details ova the phone 2 sum billy joe.they can cum get it face 2 face an if they dont stop ringin me i need 2 find out where the company is based so i can go down an shuv every phone up ther arses an then burn the place down an c if they ring me afda that
If it's been paid, then nothing to worry about. They're pissing in the wind for £8 - it'd cost them far more to even chase it up.
Report them for telephone harassment - OFCOM and Trading Standards (your local one and theirs). Financial Ombudsman service might look into it as well, and if they uphold a complaint, they'll charge the company £400+, regardless of whether they come down on your side or theirs.
But don't speak to IJ on the phone and keep a log of times/dates they call.
Yes, they do operate in European countries as well, being centrally based in Norway. I understand that they had some 'legal problems' there that almost got them shut down. Bearing in mind that this is the same company that in 2003, had a financial black hole consisting of several million pounds. 'If they're acting on behalf of their client, that's not where the money's going'
They are aggressive and none too bright either - standard call centre jockeys.
I'd asked for a copy of original credit agreement and deed of assignment - none of the three I spoke to knew what I was talking about. They did understand about my request for their complaints procedure. But then again, they didn't because it's not been received, so I think a complaint to the FOS is in order.
In response to a comment below, nope, no disfigurement - I'm just not very photogenic.
They are aggressive rude people from intrum justicia, I got tortured by them for money i didnt owe but i started blowing a whistle down the phone and they stopped ringing
They reckoned I owed 11,000. All of it was illegal charges incured as I sat and watched my partner slowly die of cancer. I wasn't as savvy back then. I do realise people will pay something to get them off their backs. But the bunch of cunts have accepted £1 a week in payments. I'm sure this will be helpful to a lot of worried sick people.
starfiremale - Sorry to hear about your story (went through similar situation myself) and for not replying sooner. Unfortunately, I don't have a website, but do recommend moneysavingexpert and consumeractiongroup. Lots of information offering good, sound advice and lets you know the tricks that these parasitic twat companies will pull. FOS complaints are a good way of causing them disruption - even if the FOS rules in their favour, the DCA still gets charged £400+ a time.
Brilliant stuff. Do you have a website?? I have been fighting two agencies for over 7 years. Fortunately I don't scare. I would urge everyone to contact a C.A.B solicitor. One cheeky fucker has been back in touch over a year later when they thought my solicitor had "gone away" Keep saying no!! Also when one bunch of cunts got fed up of me blocking them, they sold the debt on!! They'll get as far as the last one did. My story is tragic as to how I came to debt, partner dying, me on chemo
Were you hideously disfigured in a car crash? Why the blue wall? Shame about the audio quality, becasue it's an entertaining and interesting little rant, esp the bit about the mint ;)
It's about time the Debt Collection industry is held accountable for the misery they've caused so many innocent people, who through no fault of their own got into financial difficulties. It's about time some Credit Licences were removed and some hefty fines dished out to these companies who blatantly abuse laws and guidelines, causing decent people to end their lives because of the DCA's illegal and immoral actions.
Excellent audio clip, it's about time the debt collection industry gets exposed for their illegal, and immoral practices. It's about time some consumer credit licences and hefty fines were dished out. These Debt Collection Companies are no more than scumbags that cause so much misery to people who fall on hard times through no fault of their own.
No one realises how badly these scummy DCA's treat debtors, it's great that you have exposed just how low they will sink in order to collect. Thankyou.

IJ tend to back off once objections get raised - especially if it's one they find difficult to answer (which is easy enough!).
With these job cuts, previously unemployable dregs are about to become unemployable once again!
IQOR (what a stupid fucking name!) are notoriously rude, belligerent, and infamous for chasing up debts even EBay deny are owed.
ANY debts actually owed to Ebay should be paid directly to EBay - there's sod all that the DCA can do about it!

These c**ts have been stalking me for a bout a month now and its going to stop soon becoz they are messing with the wrong people!

There are ways and means to get them to stop.
With CCA requests (assuming whatever they're persuing you for is covered by the CCA 1974), I.J tend to drop it like a hot potato.
Faithless cowards that aren't sure (and don't care!) if what they've been given to chase can even be backed up. That's all they are!
DCAs don't like people who ask them to do anything or who ask questions. A bit like the Khmer Rouge, really.
