    What did she say?

  • @Nguli34689 I believe she said: It's a winner. She said something in that neighbourhood. But I could be wrong.

  • I get really pissed off when people cant open things. Maybe i should seek therapy.

  • is this in thailand

  • Why do u hav to cut the bubbles instead of the dips???

  • @inoria I just had some for the first time today... There are some foods that smell bad, but are ok... but not durian. Durian has a smell almost like chemicals. It simply doesn't smell like something that should be eaten. Yes, it is that bad.

  • that fruits is our south east asian secret weapon against robbery. We just grow that in our back/front/side yards, whenever it ripe, it will drop and kill any intruders or pass-byers.

  • She looks Malaysian. Sabah-ian?

  • first you cut it open if it dont crack use tigh glove and tear it like a paper

  • i love durian IT TASTE SO GOOD and the smell doesnt bother me LOL

  • durians are great (: and yummy ! he should've used some cloth btw. and it doesn't smell like toilet -.- he's talking crap!

  • It doesn't smell bad at all... Smells strong of ester and alcohol.

  • Durian smells horrible and it doesnt even taste so good

  • your vids are so great. love them. please upload thousands more. ;-)

    greetz from germany

  • lol if u never tried a durian before u really should try a durian cake FIRST.. its a durian-creme cake w/out the odor.

  • Aw, cmon. THey smell good. =)

  • lol at the description of the video "Durians smell like rotten eggs, sewer, toilet, and flatulence all at once."

  • How does it smell bad to be honest ? :l

  • i don't like onions. and I've read a lot of comparisons to onions all over youtube o_o

  • NEVER HAVE IT WITH BEER.......... it will kill you.

  • I guess people's sense of smell really does differ. Personally, I love the smell of durian. My mum, dad and brother all say the fragrant is superb. My cousin, however, can't stand the smell...says it smells like the inside of her kitty's litter box. lol. I don't really understand why. My mom says it's because people's brain interprets the smell differently; that why some people really likes it, while others hates it. Regardless of smell, though, we all agreed that the taste is puuuure heaven.

  • 55 กลิ่นเหมือนห้องน้ำเลยเหรอคะ ใครว่าออกจะหอมมมมมม ว่าแล้วก็อยากกิน

  • this video shows the wrong way to open a durian. The right way is the find the seem as suggested, but only make an opening (with a knife or your nail) big enough to slip your fingers in. it can then be pulled apart easily. The fewer cuts the better, because cutting it and missing the seem (by even a little) will make it harder to open.

  • @pokenei we always buy them cut - who knew there was a method to open a durian...

  • I take the the people who say that that fruit stinks have never tried one because serioussly it does not smell as bad and its also one of the most delicious fruits out there + its got more vitamin C then most fruits

  • wtF!

    it smells good

  • @xcitycodon i dont really think it smells that at all i agree with you.

  • We have an Asian market here in the Bronx area of NY. They sell Durians. I'm debating if I should try the fruit. I see the store sells chips and ice bars. I think I'll try the chips and work my way up.

  • @alw7 LOLOLOL!!! Hahahaha, yes start with the Chips hahaha.

  • it dosent smell cuz im Vietnamese XD

  • i'll never get over the smell

  • @WFvidz me too!I'm Asian

  • Use brains. Dont sit on your butt trying to open a durian. Gravitational force dude. your body weight is concentrated on your butt. Im a girl. I can peel it open. Seriously. So misleading. And you even cut it through. Weaklings.

  • @skunksash you're a he-woman. A manthing. Can you make a video of you ripping one of these suckas open for us all to get schooled?

  • @thaipulsedotcom Hell Yeah Im a he-woman. I should show off my damn big muscles.(sarcastic) Im small and petite. FYI. Like I said, its abt the brains not the brawn. Maybe you should make a video of you trying to peel open a durian since you are from Thailand? Man? Woman? He-woman? She-MAN?!

  • It isn't that it smells bad, it just has a strong smell. My dad opens that with his bare hands haha. One of my fave fruits! :) The frozen one smells less though~

  • Everybdy I smelled one before, its not exactly terrible terrible its just pretty hard to get along to. I tried it 2 it does taste really creamy or smooth and it has a sweet onion flavor but its not as bad as u think it is.

  • my uncle, cousin, and dad cuts it and peels it a lot more easily

  • Can you do more vids like this i subbed ;)

  • I love durian. I had it for the first time about 6 months ago and I'm hooked. its a strong smell but a mild flavor.

  • It nice but t quite heaty for a food.

  • They are simply delicious, by far the best food I have eaten anywhere: a quintessence of strawberries, bananas, pineapple, cream, and custard with the texture of batter - and yet with a savoury tang of onion and Stilton cheese and a faint suggestion of drains. - F. Spencer Chapman

  • LOL :" smell like toilet???" LMAO

  • Now that is crap and smells like it too.

  • i think it's like sour custard but cremey and sweet.... wait.

  • YAY some who LOVES durian i love it too but my throat itches and my lips swell

  • people over exaggerate its not that bad

  • Smells are only "good" or "bad" according to childhood associations . Most Asians don't find durian smell unpleasant. Most Westerners do, but love the taste. If you live in USA and want to taste durian without smell, it's very easy: They freeze it to ship to USA, and sell it in Asian markets still frozen. Keep it cold and eat it right away. Cold durian doesn't exude its charactistic smell. Be sure to wrap-seal remains in plastic and discard outside immediately. Delicious!

  • the first few bites are awesome. then i just get incredibly sick lol

  • yea i find it really interesting how some people say it smells that bad cuz i think it smells wonderful lol

  • Oh come on,it doesn't smell THAT bad;does it?

  • ive seen it on dz oz be knowing

  • Durians are sweet and they smell good, I;m one of durian fan

  • i wanaa taste it

  • i just tried durian and almost passed out !!!:DD

i have the headacke from the smell and my room stinks.....................i thought i eat everyhting...but no i was wrong !!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think the horridness of the smell is exaggerated. It's definitely strong, but to me the part that is objectionable smells a bit like rotten onions. But like really good rotten onions! Rich, creamy, sweet. Durian's wonderful!

  • Wow. Durian smells that bad?

Anyway, I really enjoyed this video. :] I guess it's because of these types of foods that are featured in your video. This one especially is very interesting. ;D

  • i love durian. it smells like pee to me but it tastes wonderful!!! gotta try it everyone!!!!

  • I don't understand why people think it smells bad. It smells heavy but sweet to me.

My dad likes it too, but my mom was crying that she was going to throw up.

  • Durians taste really good, and do not smell that bad, I actually like the smell.

  • Durian does not actually smell that bad at all, I really like the smell.

  • hm

i like durian a lot lol

and the smell doesnt bother me

  • I never tasted it, I only smelled it and I almost died.

But I do really want to taste it.

  • I never tasted it, I only smelled it and I almost died.

But I do really want to taste it.

  • The smell is nice, just don't put your nose to near it or else, it stinks... A fresh durian is alright... In one of the Fear Factor episodes requires them eating a whole durian for each group, none of them got pass it. I would be glad to be there. =D

  • weird, i never smell anything bad from it. maybe im use to it.

  • lol the chickens were screaming because of the horrible smell, they smelled dat shit even outside

  • @ensanguined2 ha!

  • Icelandic people like the rotten shark.

  • is nice but small lol

  • Smells bad but taste soooo good...actually we ate one here in CAnada...good thing we have ASIA MARKET...woot...woot :D

  • I found this video because on Farmville you can grow and harvest this tree. I'm very curious, I would love to try it. It seems strange to me that humans would have discovered that they can eat something that smells so bad. Think of all the past humans who ate stuff that smelled this bad and died of bacterial infection or something-- but no bacteria here, it just smells like it. Weird.

  • A fresh durian ain't even that bad. Try leaving it in your fridge for about a week and you'll know what real stink is.

  • I hate the smell so bad that I can't eat it. Especially the time when my mom tried to shove it in my mouth when I was little. Tasted horrible to me.

  • it isnt a cousin to the onion it is a fruit :) and it tastes real good but smells like crap...yeah haha

  • It's a cousin to the Onion I think.

  • How was it?

  • Taste like heaven, smells like hell...

  • chain saw that thing down!

  • fucking chain saw that abomination!

  • maybe there's a genetic thing that makes it palatable/decent smelling to some and not palatable/horrible smelling to others.. and a mix like in your case?

  • is it simply people that are exagerating or does it really smell that bad

  • Inorla... imagine stepping in cow dung, dog dirt, runny cat droppings, gutting the intestines out of a fish - all while boiling broccoli and having your mom sift salpeter all over your head. Then move it all into the restroom where your father just did a really bad thing - and you'll have a 10% idea what durian smells like.

  • its smells refreshing! IDK about u guys, but durian to me is good and smells good. maybe cuz im asian and u pple aren't so we hav diff taste int hings.

  • I think the smell of durian kinda like the smell of cheese. I mean some people would say cheese smell good and some don't.

  • @inorla in the region where durian is grown there are signs on the outside of hotels prohibiting them being bought indoors because if they are they have to fumigate the building. You can get a fine for having them indoors. That's how bad they smell

  • @inorla it does i tried it and im asian so i eat it all the time. i hate the smell but i love it ^-^

  • @inorla dosnt smell bad at all i eat them they taste great

  • @inorla it really does smell that bad

  • @inorla i think people over exagerate but thats just my opion, i love this fruit its DELICOUS! but the smell never got to me and ive been eating this for as long as i remember

  • @inorla Durian is one of the best fruit around!!

  • omfg, i love those O_o

  • lol i just use a butcher knife make small dents and open it with my bare hands, the trick is to use the knife as a lever to loosen the husk a bit.

  • c iz cute

  • durian smell niceeee~

  • I call them cat poop fruit...... but i love them

  • mango ain't better screw mango durian all the way

  • lol i <3 durian ^^

  • what is the chicken video called

  • @krankiev the chicken video? i can't remember... i think search youtube for "thaipulsedotcom chicken" or something. Sorry, can't remember name of it.

  • the last i was in the South East Asia was in 1994. To this day, the smell of this fruit haunts me!! It was all over Singapore.

  • If you ever smell that stuff it will cling to your nose hairs! You have to take a bath in tomato juice rip out all your nose hairs and throw away your clothes and it still won;t go away

  • oh man I wanna try this stuff so bad

  • where is the chicken vid?

    ;-;

  • @hena654 search youtube for chicken thaipulsedotcom and it should pop up.

  • LOOOOOOOOOVE IT

    what a delicacy

    love durian sooo much

  • I don't think that fruit was ever meant to be eaten... at least not by most animals.

  • Get the Yellow creamy ones put them in a container and chill it over night in the refrigerator

also a little trivia Duri in the Malay language means Thorn and that maybe why they call it the *Duri*an

  • durians are awesome!!!

we eat durian all the time in Singapore :)

they DON'T smell! they're like heavenly.

but even some ppl here hate durians.

none on trains and buses. wth. they smell sooooo good :D

  • i saw someone open it with a huge butcher knife...

  • durian is good :D

  • mango is better

  • hurr durr

  • whoa nice if u go to malaysia they cooked the durian fruit with flour there no odour at all when u eat it

  • @coolstar69 I'm from Malaysia and i dont remember any malaysian cooked Durian with flour.. and i think its not suitable for it... but we always always cooked chempedak with flour . (cempedak fruit is like jackfruit but not really jackfruit)

  • Revolt714 - right - there are some places that forbid it because even some Thais can't stand it. Overall though - I think Thai people LOVE IT.

  • I heard in some parts of asia they're not allowed to have durian because of its smell.

  • Durian is my favorite! :)

i don't care about the smell the important is the taste!

  • they sell durian fruit at all of the asian food markets by me my dad said that it tastes like heaven but smells like hell lol

  • hey have u ever tried it fried like chips???

  • fried like chips? Nope. There is a durian paste though - brown thick and not all that good that my wife sent back up to her family in the northeast and they love that stuff... it's like the paste of life or something - Thai people in isaan would die for a bag of that stuff!

  • @thaipulsedotcom durian chips taste really good! They sell a lot in Thailand

  • i love durain

  • At the end of a vacation in Malaysia I bought Durian-sweets at the airport.. you know I wanted to take something typical back to Germany. I didn't know about the smell though.. and damn I nearly vomited as I opened the package, I guess a skunk must smell similar to that.. it was so unexpected, I think there should be a warning on durian-products "attention, uttermost disgusting smell might cause unconciousness" or something like that haha! But yet I was brave enough to taste it and it's not bad

  • hahhaa - might cause unconsciousness! One time I brought some som tam (raw papaya salad with fermented crab paste) into the office at at school. Even the Thais were saying it smelled nasty! I love that salad!

  • I want one! are they only available in Thailand? I don't care about the smell - I'm going to smell shit and stuff almost every day the next 3 years :P

  • if you live in new jersey i could tell you where you could buy some

  • I do! Where can you, also do you know where mangosteen, gooseberries, and other exotic fruits are sold, I'm in north jersey by the way.

  • I don't smoke at all my friend :o) My wife told some people hate the smell and some people don't mind it, i guess i'm one of the few who don't mind the smell. lol :o)

  • OK - wow... I know that sometimes when I smell it - after I'd eaten it and loved it - the smell doesn't smell like anything offensive... but, usually - it does... if it hits you by surprise... like in the shopping mart or passing a stall on the sidewalk where they were peeling it to wrap it in clear wrap and sell it - it can really be gross!

  • I like durian, nice taste, i had some in Chaiyphum earlier this year :o) but i didn't really notice any bad smell? lmao

  • You didn't NOTICE a smell????? How many cases of cigarettes you smoke a day? I can't believe you didn't even smell it...

  • Have you ever tired eating a Jackfruit?

There sooooooo goooood...haha random but man..i want to try those things see if they smeelll that bad..

Would be nice to find one nd try a piece..or..so..

  • Yes, jackfruit is one of my favorites... in some parts of thailand they also boil the jackfruit and use it as a condiment in morning curry (on the vegetable plate) - awesome stuff. Amazing smell.

  • i bought one in thailand, smell was bad, taste okay i could eat it, but theres better fruits

but funny thing i left it in fridge and forgot about it, and after 3 days it was horrible smell in fridge, huh, throw it away :)

and thai, say u can not drink alcohol when u eat it, i dont know why....

  • Oh right, I heard about that - not drinking alcohol with it - not sure why that is... anyone know?

  • ive eaten one a long time ago in england, the taste wasn't that bad until I got a huge allergic reaction to it lol

  • from cockroaches to hellgramites and now to durians, man u've got guts....
