I bought this trick used and Ive read and watched till im blue in the face but the rope will not stay erect. I wrap it around the first two fingers and this is supposed to make the rope taut. allowing to make it stand up. then releasing the tension makes it limp again. I wonder if the rope gets "worn out".

i have this trick and i know how to do it but... i cant put the silk inside the rope!
