Kids do funny and spontaneous things. Sometimes we are lucky enough to capture it on video or to get a photograph of it. I think video of the lttle girl with the squirrel is one of those special times. Yes, it's kind of "gross" but it was already done and already in the kid's hands. The tragedy would have been in NOT filming it. I have lots of videos and photos of my twins doing funny/gross/odd things and I can't wait till they're old enough to watch it and understand it for what it is.

Yes i do have animals. I also have a dog, a hunting breed. Any dog can be trained to be called off an animal when it goes after it. You do it by teaching the dog to come when called, and 'leave it' when it goes after something. And 'drop it', if it gets a hold of it. & i also saw her other video where she said it was an accident and they never meant t to be killed in the first place. your neighbors need to train their dog better before it hurts someone or something

How does this have ANYTHING to do with you allowing your daughter to handle a dead squirrel for 10minutes while you watch. There is a difference between allowing your child to explore nature and manhandling, and dropping, a dead squirrel. Squirrels carry so many diseases and bacteria and your daughter repeatedly handled the squirrel then wiped her mouth. She didn't know any better but it's your job, as her parents, to stop her and explained to her the dangers of handling a dead squirrel.

I LOVED the squirrel video. I've watched it over 10 times now and I think it's hilarious; slightly shocking, slightly off-putting... But hilarious nonetheless.

FYI: North American squirrels very rarely carry rabies. If this squirrel was a carrier, you would have been able to tell. They can be host to a variety of animal-borne viruses, but these do not transfer to humans. They may have fleas, they may bite, and they may be dirty- but they don't have rabies.

I think that the majority of the viewers liked the video and of course there are negative responses, but who cares? I have three children of my own and I thought this video was adorable.
