This is awesome. Putting aside the political correctness of religious tolerance, some superstitious part of religion actually causes tremendous suffering, as shown in this video. It is absolutely necessary to put these superstition under rational examination.

But, because of this video, others who may still accept faith healers will have something to think about. I REALLY doubt they'll change as easily as this guy did or at least claimed he did.

Plus, if a human dies, odds are you either took the life of a child, which would cause extreme emotional suffering, or the breadwinner of a family, in which case you would cause financial suffering, literally taking food out of the mouths of the survivors, on top of breaking their hearts...

Biologically, we have evolved an attachment to our own kind, it is written in our genes. If you would really truly have a moral dilemma choosing between the lives of a dog or person, that's a sociopathic tendency you should get checked.

However, I don't think being the top species gives us the right to just do as we please to other species and cause unnecessary suffering. If it is absolutely necessary to kill an animal (for food, etc.), then do so, but surely, what the rationalists did could have been achieved without killing that dog. At the very least, they could have used a dog that had attacked people before instead of a stray.

The dog died. Understandably many people find this scene distressing, but my aim was to provide an honest and accurate report rather than entertainment. That said, this is an edited version, which spares the audience some of the most gruesome details. The other side of the coin is that many people die from snakebite in India when they put their trust in deluded quacks and their useless remedies.
