That loop was incredible. His jumps have such amazing height. He finishes rotating them so early. Fantastic originality too. I'm so glad he switched to Italy because now we get to see 4 great French guys at major champs.
I can't understand all this fuss about nationality: at the highest level many athletes compete for a country with which they had nothing to do before.
personally I don't feel particularly exhilarated if an Italian wins an international competition but that's me of course: I just love watching good sport and that's all.
by the way, Italy does not deserve all the medals it earns: athletes who train seriously are only remembered when they win. all the money and public attention go to soccer...
you are right about soccer...and I don't like all this attention too...but you don't have to forget that avery athlet works really hard and they deserve every single medal they win! just because we have a stupid state of things this doesn't mean that you have to penalized the athlets who come from italy and wins something.
Born in France, lives in France, continues his training in France, a French coach(Didier Lucile) ... but represents Italy, because he didn't get place in the French team where there's plenty of better skaters, his results was too poor and he has often injuries... First, he tried to compete to Monaco but they refused. Ridicilous, but you make everything just for money!
born in france, lives in ITALY, he is trained by his ITALIAN wife and peter grutter. he skates for italy because french federation didn't send him at the olympics even if he was third at french national. they preferred to do a test between him and other skater and even if he skated better than the others they didn't chose him 'cause he was wearing a simple training suit insteadof the costume.
If you don't know the real fact just shut up! I'm so happy for him!! a deserved revenge!
whats going on with the french all of a sudden? they've got joubert, ponsero, preaubert, and now this guy! something in the water making these guys awesome skaters.
I agree and understand everything. Don't make me stupid. My words weren't ironic. Just had to find out. Thanks for answers. Like Contesti very much, I see a lot of Peter Grutter in his skating, reminds me a little bit Stephane Lambiel.
you are right Luchito ! I was born in France too but with italian parents ....and I feel Italian !

I was not saying I wished Italian athletes would win no more!
I was saying that it is surprising Italians win anything at all, due to the lack of interest of the majority of the population and the lack of funds.
If they do it's clearly because they've worked so hard as to overcome all disadvantages and then of course they deserve all the medals they win!

very good indeed!! I hope he skates well in Los Angeles!! he reminds me of a mix of Laurent Tobel & Ryan Bradley
