  • He is my new favorite!! he skated like EX! He is very fun ^___^

  • If anyone knows the NAMES of the songs plz share them with us(i know that they're from Amelie's soundtrack but i just can't find them) Thx!

  • The music is by Yann Tiersen. It's from the Amelie soundtrack.

  • what are the song titles?

  • Does everyone knows how call these songs? Thanks

  • He looks so good in the air.

  • LOL. In the air. Hehee.

  • However you call it. :P

  • That loop was incredible. His jumps have such amazing height. He finishes rotating them so early. Fantastic originality too. I'm so glad he switched to Italy because now we get to see 4 great French guys at major champs.

  • excellent job!! wonderful jumping! best wishes

  • by the way, nice exercise, Mr Contesti... ;)

  • I can't understand all this fuss about nationality: at the highest level many athletes compete for a country with which they had nothing to do before.

personally I don't feel particularly exhilarated if an Italian wins an international competition but that's me of course: I just love watching good sport and that's all.

by the way, Italy does not deserve all the medals it earns: athletes who train seriously are only remembered when they win. all the money and public attention go to soccer...

  • you are right about soccer...and I don't like all this attention too...but you don't have to forget that avery athlet works really hard and they deserve every single medal they win! just because we have a stupid state of things this doesn't mean that you have to penalized the athlets who come from italy and wins something.

  • :)

I was not saying I wished Italian athletes would win no more!

I was saying that it is surprising Italians win anything at all, due to the lack of interest of the majority of the population and the lack of funds.

If they do it's clearly because they've worked so hard as to overcome all disadvantages and then of course they deserve all the medals they win!

  • very good indeed!! I hope he skates well in Los Angeles!! he reminds me of a mix of Laurent Tobel & Ryan Bradley

  • es napoletano.

  • Born in France, lives in France, continues his training in France, a French coach(Didier Lucile) ... but represents Italy, because he didn't get place in the French team where there's plenty of better skaters, his results was too poor and he has often injuries... First, he tried to compete to Monaco but they refused. Ridicilous, but you make everything just for money!

  • Jobert is better then him, but not Ponserò and Preubert...he is european silver medal not them....sorry for France who missed him

  • born in france, lives in ITALY, he is trained by his ITALIAN wife and peter grutter. he skates for italy because french federation didn't send him at the olympics even if he was third at french national. they preferred to do a test between him and other skater and even if he skated better than the others they didn't chose him 'cause he was wearing a simple training suit insteadof the costume.

If you don't know the real fact just shut up! I'm so happy for him!! a deserved revenge!

  • omg...the unibrow's gotta go!

  • I adore him!!!!!!! Perfect movie! perfect!

  • sei un grande, veramente meritato l'argento complimenti w italia

  • Born in France, but pure italian blood in his veins (from Naples). A sensation! Viva Samuel!

  • congratulations from greece!a star is born!!!bravo samuel!

  • What a beautiful performance! That's what I call real skating. Merci Samuel!

  • omg Peter Grütter!??!! He's Samuel Contesti's trainer??? WOW

  • He is absolutely THE BEST!!! He is the new star in patinage stage! Perfect movement! The song is from the movie Amelie????

  • no the song isn't from amelie but is written by the same compositor : yan tiersen la valse du monstre

  • what a beautiful footwork!

  • whats going on with the french all of a sudden? they've got joubert, ponsero, preaubert, and now this guy! something in the water making these guys awesome skaters.

  • But he's from Italy...

  • not originally.

  • of course :)

  • he's from france but he represents Italy

  • I agree and understand everything. Don't make me stupid. My words weren't ironic. Just had to find out. Thanks for answers. Like Contesti very much, I see a lot of Peter Grutter in his skating, reminds me a little bit Stephane Lambiel.

  • Bravo!Bravo!Bravo!!!Grazie!!!

  • Bravissimo Samuel!!!!

  • Bravo! That was enjoyable!!

  • and anyway....Ponsero as well is an italian surname...un'altro di sangue italiano !

  • you are right Luchito ! I was born in France too but with italian parents ....and I feel Italian ! Buon sangue non mente come si dice in italiano ! Forza Italia !

  • please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't "Contesti" an Italian lastname???

it sounds Italian to me, he might have been born in France, but his blood is italian...

credo che il suo cognome e italiano, Contesti, credo, non so, io non parlo molto bene il italiano...

  • yes his lastname is italian his fathers granparents are italians ... his blood is italian at all eehheeh kiss

  • FORZA! Take that French federation for not believing in your skater. Italy's gain and The president of the ISU must be LOVING this. ha!

  • Mitico,semplicemente mitico!
