The word "men" was inserted in the KJV because the adjective δύο (duo) is masculine plural. In Koine Greek, a group of people consisting of at least one man is expressed in the masculine plural. Therefore, this verse does not indicate the gender of the second person. I hope this helps clarify.

In verse 35, the verb for "grinding" is feminine plural. In verse 34, the verb could be either masculine or feminine so we look at the definite article for "the one" and "the other". Both of these are masculine, so it would have to be two men.

The word "men" was inserted in the KJV because the adjective δύο (duo) is masculine plural. In Koine Greek, a group of people consisting of at least one man is expressed in the masculine plural. Therefore, this verse does not indicate the gender of the second person. I hope this helps clarify.

In verse 35, the verb for "grinding" is feminine plural. In verse 34, the verb could be either masculine or feminine so we look at the definite article for "the one" and "the other". Both of these are masculine, so it would have to be two men.

No he doesn't think that it happened but he wrote about what was being said. Read his work sometime. .
