you have to know what to listen for, but you can tell he's still playing a guitar under all that, but it's being sent through a major FX pedal of some kind. It's just normal guitar playing (okay fine, it's GOOD guitar playing) but you don't need sound-effect directions, just a list of FX pedals and mixers used
