I recently got out of the Navy -- The MAs (Navy Military Police) on my base in 2009 were doing martial law exercises for weeks. (probably did them in 2010 as wel)l. When the day comes, its not just going to be the police walking down the streets with guns, but every military branch. The amount of firepower they are already willing to use against us... it's gonna be biblical.

Stalin & Hitler rose to power the same way it is happening today, apathy. Every new restriction on our freedoms is met with little or no resistance. The TSA, will soon prove to be our version of Nazi storm troopers once they have infiltrated every aspect of our lives. When we look back at these events someday we'll see how we could have made a stand and didn't. This holiday travel season should have been our Lexington & Concord against the TSA, I'm afraid it became our Little Big Horn.

sounds interesting, but we need more PROOF. I agree in what he is saying but to succeed we need to convince the masses. I talked politics too two of my friends and 1 guy didnt care about TSA and thinks its for our safety. The other guy thought the Patriot Act was a new GI Bill because it had the word "patriot". Also, what about the 20 million killed by Stalin and the 6 million by Hitler? We havent done that or anything close or similiarly inhumane yet which makes people even more skeptical.

The surveillance state has succeeded the police state. Even the post-60s USSR and US became as such. Thank electronics, and especially computers, for that. Only in 2001 with the PITRAT act did the US govt. pretty much admit that the US is a surveillance state :p. Also, WW2-era US was a police state. Japanese meant concentration camps. Dissent meant incarceration. Despite the fact the US was an ocean away from any battlefield.
