@super87cole I agree. The 4.8 has 302 hp, while the 5.3 has 320 hp, and the 6.2 has 402. Guess which one Id go for!! lol. But I am a Toyota guy really, so i would probably have the Tundra.
@Motorfordtoyota the tundras 5.7 iforce is a wicked engine for power. anyways chevys problem is that they only offer the 6.2 on the more expevsive models not every one can afford those models. so they get stuck with this no power 5.3 thats considerd a bigger V8 idk man! this 5.3 shit is getting really old!! like come on 320hp 335 lb/ft. ITS TIME TO UP THE POWER ABIT GM IS FALLING BEHIND THEY CAN'T KEEP RELYING ON THAT POWERHOUSE 6.2. THEY GOTTA STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND GIVE THE CUSTOMRES MORE..
@super87cole I agree, GM use to have top power numbers 10-20 yrs ago now they at the bottom, I think they need get rid of the 4.3, 4.8 and 5.3 all of them are underpowererd. I like these trucks, but don't like their lame powertrains
@abram7117 The 6.2 is fine, but it needs to be avaliable in lesser trims. If Chevy would put the SIDI system in the 4.8 (and put 6 speed auto with it) and 5.3 then they would be alright. The SIDI system adds about 30-50 hp by itself. Then put the base engine as the 3.6 Camaro engine with a ECU tune for more torque and it would be rockin with a 6 speed auto.
Test drove one recently. Feels very comfortable and just a sweet ride. Can't get into the F-150's interior design and just not my preference (I've really tried to like it but just don't ). Besides already have 2 Chevy's (2000-2001's) with over 160k each and never had a problem with them, still running.
@DeVstatrOmga Finally a comment worth while to reply to. lol. But, it was extremely comfortable. It is substantially smaller then the Tundra Crewmax in the rear, but its not bad. I have tried warming up to the F150's overall everything and it hasnt worked Ford now even has a little screen on in the gauge cluster that has the built ford tough thing dropping on a floor! Its stupid. Even now Ford has switched from Torque motors to no torque motors. But, I love Chevys, and Toyotas too. lol
@Motorfordtoyota question.. why would you hate the F150? Ford has led the way in terms of reliability out of the big 3 for the past 5 years now, and plus there are more F150s on the road with over 200k plus miles and still being broken in. I just prefer Fords approach at things and for actually taking attention to quality and the purpose of a "working truck". Not GMs hey you want a gas guzzling engine we will give you a cheap ugly plastic interior to compensate. I wouldn't mind a Z71 though.
@ZinizzIe Its alright, me and him are personal friends and we joke around like that.
