  • M1 garand #1 rifle!

  • mosin ! :P

  • where can i buy those babys

  • @Easycamper65 gunshow, gunbrokerdotcom, mitchell's mausersdotcom

  • @gogdee is the 98 a mitchell??

  • @gogdee thanks mate

  • I wouldn't like to stand in front of either of them.

  • So called "Garand thumb" is only possible when no enblock clip is loaded into the mag well. Think about it!

  • My two most fav ww2 guns!!! But m1 won!!

  • K98 may have a slower rate of fire but it has better acuracy than the m1

  • Because of the garands technical difficulty the mauser won.

  • terrible camera work

  • K98 winns

  • I'd go for the K98.

I'm a little bit of a Bold Action fanboy.

  • The designer of the M1 Garand was Canadian; Garand was his last name. I believe he designed it in '32, but I know the US military didn't adopt it until 1936. Check my dates though.

  • its fair cause the two armies who fought had these rifles as their standard service rifles.

  • you cant compare a semi automatic CANADIAN design to a Bolt action rifle

compare the M1 to the Gew43 or compare the akr98k to the 1903 springfield

  • @alekzander2010 Yes you can, you can compare anything to anything, now whether it will be fair comparison is a another thing. However in this instance I think the main reason for comparison is that both rifles were the standard issue gun for 2 super powers that were at war. So it makes sense.

  • @gogdee All's fair in love and WAR!

  • @gogdee So, we could compare the Stg 44 with the M1 garand, because both were used by super powers, or am i wrong?

  • @CSnakeV you most certainly can, but whether it would be a fair comparison is something else.

  • @CSnakeV You do realize that if we were comparing automatics you'd be comparing a BAR and the StG, right?

  • @NotJustYouNoob I think he does, but even that would not exactly be 'fair', due to the caliber sizes, BAR 7.62x63 and STG 7.62x33, nearly half the size..lol

  • @alekzander2010 "CANADIAN design" ??? What does that mean?

  • @alekzander2010 They both went against each other

  • MAUSER

  • Mauser :)

  • so... no comparison of the targets afterwards or bullets or....?

  • @Taud They're dead.

  • Check out my new 8mm Mauser FMJ Ricochet video!>>>>>/watch?v=xoFO6mVUaXk

  • buy a scope!

  • I bet he forgot to put the clip in on purpose.

  • @Oisin34 why you you say that?

  • @gogdee So he could show us how to load it.

  • @Oisin34 ahh, no it was unintentional, but funny.

  • the KAR98 just looks perfect!

  • holy shit! someone actually used the term "clip" correctly when talking about guns!

  • @ZlGZ4G lol. i was thinking the same thing

  • obviously the Garand would out perform the K98 in almost every aspect. Ballistics were very similar but rate of fire would much in the favor of the Garand. As the comment says above the Gewehr 43 would be a better comparison ( the comment above referencing the "Gewehr" just means the "rifle" in German and could denote any rifle used in the German militay, 43 denotes the year of developement). However the Gewehr 43 would not stand up to the Garand due nature to jam. Both great rifles

  • Nothing better than shooting with friends!

    Feels Good!

  • I miss call of duty !

  • Seriously, only 1 shoot can kill. Every world war's gun is so powerful

  • Garand Is AWESOME

  • The K98 forces you to shoot accurate :) on the m1 garand you just semi-auto it empty without accurate aiming

  • @Scorpac the forces of nature demand we simple people spray with semi-autos.

  • m1 DO WANT how much was that one

  • @katarjin $800

  • ITS TOM CRUISE!!!!!!! lol

  • @MovieMaker225 Looks like it doesn't it?!

  • @gogdee lol, with a bad ass M1 Garand. doesnt mean its a bad thing lol,

  • @MovieMaker225 hahahaha!!!!!!!!! Tom Cruise in WW2!

  • @gogdee Now that could be a movie!

  • @MovieMaker225 you can tell him i said sup. haha

  • @MovieMaker225 Sure I will, He gets it all the time, just walking into Stores people will ask him if he is a Tom Cruise Impersonator... it's funny. XD

  • @gogdee haha, ive watched this video for the past year in a half, and it just kinda dawned on me that, "HEY!, he looks familliar haha"

  • @MovieMaker225 Hahaha! I posted this on 'Tom's' wall..

A guy from Youtube told me to tell you that he thinks you really look like Tom Cruise and to say 'Whasup'. So I told him I would. ;D

    (me)

Nice!!!!! :-D Tell him "Tom" says hello from the danger zone, and "Katie" sends her regards!!!! ;-) :-D LOL!!!!

    (him)

    Hahaha will do! ;D

    (me)

so your message as been delivered...lol

  • @gogdee HAHA, thats funny man,

  • @gogdee L0L!

  • @MovieMaker225 Tom in the 80's...

  • @MovieMaker225 YOU BITCH I WAS ABOUT TO SAY THAT lol

  • Look! A lightsabre!

  • I like the K98 more, maybe because it's bolt action... I dunno

  • @goldbullet50 Bolt actions are so much fun. :D

  • @gogdee Yup :)

  • anyway the wermacht based firepower on the squad's mg42/34 and not on each individual

  • Press 5 to become these guy's targets...

  • Where was the PING!

  • The M1 Garand, although semi-automatic doesn't have the stopping power of the Kar98k. But in battle, I would prefer the M1 because its capabilities of rapid firing and a big enough round to put someone on the ground quickly. With the Kar, if you miss that first shot, you better bolt it back before whoever you're shooting at starts shooting back. The WW11 German workhorse rifle does perform in combat though.

  • the m1 garand was designed and made by a canadian the amerrican military just had the money to make it there sevice rifle and also the kid that loaded the m1 dident do it properly cool vid though thanks boys

  • hold let me get my mosin nagant

  • sieg hiel

  • bajonetts? take them off! ;( nice rifles any way

  • The M1 Garand was the one of the few weapons we had that was better then Germany's, don't get me wrong, the Mauser 98k was and is still a fine weapon.

Have fun with your rifles, I'd do almost anything to get my hands on an M1 or Mauser.

  • @aabceacba Hey mausers a re only 200-300 dollars, so it's all good. :D Milsurp ammo is cheap too.

  • the garand won

    ww2 i mean.

  • @dasdew2 nope the mass of soldiers won

  • no way not ever get real

  • Both are great combat rifles no doubt even though they are different systems.

  • Shouldn't it be Gewher vs. M1? since both are semi automatic ... not fair comparing a blot action to a semi auto :P

  • @Megashehri Well that's all we had, we were just comparing the 2 standard rifles of the 2 countires.

  • @gogdee i see :)

  • @Megashehri then i guess it wasnt fair that they had to use them while america used these

  • @Megashehri Gewehr is Rifle in german, gewehr 43 is more specific

  • @Megashehri Production on the Gewehr 43 was late in the war. Maybe there were initial economic/industrial considerations for bolt-action/accuracy. The USA switching from the M14 to M16 exponentially increased the average number of rounds required to kill an enemy in Vietnam to 400,000 (!)--so think how much bullets cost NOW vs. then. If it costs $30,000 1943 dollars per Russian KIA to use semi-automatics vs. $5,000 with bolt action, that's a lot of GDP, when you're killing millions.

  • @Megashehri blot action?

  • @Megashehri You can't just call the rifle gewehr, because that just means ''rifle'' !

  • @Megashehri Bolt= More accurate but less shots =Favorite Sniper Weapon.

Semi auto= More rounds than Bolt but less precision= Nice gun for 40`s military and rookies.

  • @Megashehri

K98's bolt action and M1 Garand is gas operated, big difference which why you can't use the term semi auto for both rifles!

  • question is: will it blend?

  • Coolest brother-in-law ever.

  • @divinegod102 hahaha! Indeed! ;D

  • didnt even watched video kar98 no question usa guns go to hell

  • @ambspier why do you dislike american guns so much?

  • @gogdee its not that i dislike them but compaired to german weapons i wouldnt whipe my ass with an american gun. But i still love some american guns. I hate modern ones every fucking one looks like a m16. Seig heil

  • @gogdee cus this guys not american!

  • @gogdee because

  • @gogdee cos theyre not so good... =/

  • @gogdee beocuse hating america is COOL in the rest of the world.

  • @curseofa5r5a That's ridiculous, who wouldn't want to be an American? They are only the coolest people ever!

  • @gogdee sorry dude but the coolest guys in the block rigth now are the russians, they have badass friends, vodka and a quite bad attitude

  • @curseofa5r5a hahaha each to his own, I think freedom is pretty badass too though, ;D

  • @gogdee yeha but in a wolrd like this, who fuckign cares about freedom? tehy all want their goverments manage their lifes, and if the goverment is full of badass karate balck belts much better!

not joking, every one hates america just becouse its quite common to do so in most parts of the world

  • @curseofa5r5a Hmm whatever, do you understand what freedom is? It's the ability to do what you want to do unhindered by the governement or anyone else... now tell me that you don't care about freedom? That's just stupid, everyone should care about freedom, without freedom you are little more than a slave. You & your buddies may hate America but everyone I know, in and out of America, loves it. and why shouldn't they? America has given the world everything, techonlogy, art, music, movies, peace..

  • @gogdee well if you read carefully my mesaage, im not presicely supporting antiamericans, i was actually beign ironic.

im not a pro amrican guy as you are, but i think the irrational antiamericanism that rules todays world is just plain stupid, you can criticize american policies all what you want, but those assholes criticize the whole nation, wich is basically a quite interesting mixture of all the cultures and peoples of the world adn thats awesome. i have several american relatives

  • @curseofa5r5a I gotcha.. cool. :)

  • @gogdee Lol saying that they brought peace throughout the world is a pretty deluded thing to say. - Not only has every other nation in the WORLD contributed with technology, art, music (Especially Germany during the last 400 years) - Movies, yes you own that topic.

  • @gogdee

    lol

  • @gogdee actually, john garand (the designer of the m1 garand) was canadian.

  • @ambspier whats wrong with american guns?

  • @ambspier It has nothing to do with being American , but it's hard to deny that the M1 Garand was a superior rifle.

  • @ambspier

This is how I see it -

    K98 = Hunting rifle

    M1 Garand = Battle rifle

The M1 is far superior to the Kar (battle wise) for obvious reasons

  • @TigertailzBezerk

Well the K98 is arround 40 years older than the M1! Would be like comparing an M1 to an Steyr AUG.

  • @digitalesnegativ true true... :D

  • @digitalesnegativ no it's not. tho based upon the G98 the k98k was designed in 1935 and the garant m1was developed in the late twenties and got patented in 1932.. and even today, the k98k is still in military use with the odd army. not to mention, it also being a much preferred rifle by many hunters. and of course , i am referring to the well made models from the earlier years manufactured by mauserwerken and not the ones made later in the war with inferior materials

  • @ambspier ....Yet, our soldiers were superior to both the Germans and the Japanese because of the accurate fire the M1 Garand could send down range at a target...Not only that, but you didn't need to inconveniently need to pull back the bolt every time you fired the weapon. 8 rounds of semi, to 5 rounds of bolt action...I'm thinking even the Jap's and Krauts would agree it is a much better fire arm then their standard issued rifle's.

  • I prefer most bolt action rifles and WW2 weapons but I believe that the M1 Garand just plain hates me :p

  • bit hard to compare a bolt action to a semi automatic don't ya think? lol nice demonstration though!

  • Just wondering :D

  • Is the dude with the white shirt a fag?

  • @twokingsTM no he isn't, he's married to a woman and she is carrying his baby. why would you say that?

  • @gogdee The way he says: ''Aww, need a clip in it'.

  • @twokingsTM hmm, I never thought of that as being gay, but I can tell you that it wasn't meant that way.

  • @gogdee Ignore the moronic homophobe. He's probably secretly gay himself.

  • the man was tryna go to war with out bullets

  • K98 all the way

  • KAR98 <3!

  • m1garand of course

  • My grandpa was 13 during WW2 in Northern Italy and part of a resistance against the Germans. He would sneak into camps and steal German arms and he brought em back to Canada with him, had about 14 Mausers!

  • @CanadianStereotype wow amazing story, if you can (or want) tell me more about him

  • bandoleer not clip for the m1. lol

  • @jamesyak52 It is indeed a clip for the M1. A bandoleer is a canvas sling that holds 6 loaded clips for the M1 Garand.

  • "uh i need a clip in it!" LOL

  • He loaded m1 garand wrong

  • @moderhackercheater He didn't push the clip down far enough for the bolt to come forward. That's all.

  • i think the bayonet threw off their aim.

  • No, my JROTC used M1s until last year when they were decomissioned.

  • @erinsmonster what are y'all using now?

  • @gogdee Probably Daisy Rifles, or M1903 Demils but the AFJROTC's for sure are trying to get solely daisies

  • @gogdee Springfields, M1903s. A bit ironic considering that they're older, but, eh.

  • where are you shooting this guns ? is thisyour own piece of land ? and which state is it ? texas ?

  • @osmanlitorunu1990 jes out in the middle of nowhere in Florida. :)

  • @osmanlitorunu1990 These* Is this your own property*

I also hate how you predicted Texas.

  • why did the wielder of the m1 garand wait until the k98 user finished with his bolt?

  • @insanenazi to be polite.. lol

  • The m1 garand wins because of a larger clip capacity, semi auto and the 30-06 round.

  • who would even compare the M1 Garand to any other gun. The M1 Garand is a fucking beast. it is still used to this very day by few soldiers

  • @XWHITEoKNIGHTX19 What army issues the M1 Garand to combat soldiers anymore?

  • @esh325 that's what I was wondering..lol

  • @gogdee I mean, I see pictures of soldiers using them as drill rifles, but no combat soldiers. I'm sure in the middle east or Africa some unconventional guerilla force uses the M1 Garands. I mean after all, if it can still lob bullets down the barrel, then it's going to be still used by somebody.

  • @esh325 mmmhmm. ;)

  • @esh325

I'm pretty sure they use m14's for drills not m1 garands

  • @XWHITEoKNIGHTX19 where?

  • trying to shoot an unloaded weapon = not a technical difficulty. it's a tard difficulty

  • The Kar98k isn't realy a good comparison to the M1 garand i think.

But the Gewehr 43 vs the m1 garand is,atleast i think so!

  • The kar is more save to fire doesn't jam that much and bolt actions have very strong stoping power

M1 Grand is semi auto it doesn't jam that much but it jammed more then the kar a problem with the m1 was the enemy would know when you would have to reload because it would make a clang like noise when the clip was done but m1 is very accurate and good stopping power

But I think I would choose the kar because the reload thing with the m1 and bolt actions are the very save to shoot

  • @christianschwanse actually in battle you cant hear the sound, I reenact combat with it, its silent. The enemy always hearing it is more of a myth, than a historical fact, though it did happen very rarely, but any smart person would of course choose the M1, since its a superior, more modern and effective combat weapon system

  • @christianschwanse No no no, please don't spread the "pling myth" :p .

Anyone can explain that you won't hear a little pling in the middle of a firefight, when you are around 200m away. The shooter of the Garand won't hear it after a couple of clips, and when there's ~15 guys on a line with rifles and SMGs he won't hear even the first pling.

Due to the shape of the 30-06 round the Garand had more precision and power than the K98 actually.

  • @christianschwanse Bolt actions are inherently more reliable, but the amount of shots the M1 Garand could get off was worth much more then a bit more reliability. It is said that the M1 Garand in testing did not like sand and mud that much. The clip noise was probably inaudible in combat some times. The M1 Garand is perfectly safe to shoot my friend. The Germans actually were so impressed with the Garand that they came out with their own semi automatic.

  • @christianschwanse well the enemy wouldnt hear the clang. i would probably go with the m1

  • @christianschwanse when you reload the m1 the bolt is locked back and won't come forward till you shove forward

  • @123mrresidentevil Negative. The bolt locks to the rear upon the last shot of the previous clip. When the rifleman pushes the next clip into the well, a lever is depressed that unlocks the bolt and allows it to return forward. You are supposed to use your right hand to load the M1. You push the clip down with your thumb while holding the bolt back with the heel of your hand. When the bolt releases, move your damn thumb and take your hand away. LOADED.

  • PING!

  • wow it s from ebay what did it cost

  • @MrPaolo0512 a hundred I think.. maybe $125

  • ...and so the M91/30 Mosin-Nagant felt left out...next to the Type-99 Arisaka. Of course I do happen to have one of the last ditch Type-99s, without chrome lined barrel, proper rifling, and crude bolt and receiver. As for the "ping" on the M1 I heard it was a design overlook, strictly unintentional.

  • Ur gonna wreck one of ur fingers if u keep loading the m1 that way

  • fps russia is beter learn

  • its garand not grand people -_-'

  • where did u get the bayonet for the k98 im looking for one but cant find any

  • @k98pro that's a real K-98 bayonet and I got it from Ebay. :)

  • @gogdee o

  • @gogdee o ok

  • Shut the hell up Ipwnzombs tht is totally untrue i am an M1 Garand Fan and i have one but it only has two benefit is its semi-auto and has an 8 roung mag compared to K98s 5 round mag

  • @mkofficemanager It's not a mag, it's a clip.

  • i would hav to say du mouser

  • its garand. not grand. lol

  • 0:28 fail

  • The Mauser is a more powerful accurate gun but low rate of fire the m1 is the opposite
