@Enjoy the buffet...I'm sure ur path to success was easier than a minority,b/c u r white. It is just a fact man. Honest whites would tell u that. I have white friends that will say the same. I'm well qualified and will not get certain jobs because im a black man. I have white friends who are equally or less qualified will get the job. So, man u may have worked hard, but u stil didnt have to encounter unnecessary opposition in your pursuit.....Its reality bro,i wish it wasn't but it is...
Obama made himslef into the "black" candidate with that dumb speech of his about the racist reverend Wright where he tried to be a "social engineer". Nobody ever handed me anything for being a caucasoid. Neither of my parents even went to high school but they taught me the timeless value of hard work, best exemplified by my achievement of being born in a log cabin built with my own two hands. Let's see some other sonofabitch ever match that regardless of their race.
For the comment under me you have to remember this country did have a man named Jay Edger Hoover whose job was to destroy every black mans credibility of ever becoming some one. And the generation of that idealisim still carries on today. Obama deserve to be president just as much as Hilary.
He won't win cuz he's black. I'm not racist, but it's reality folks. America is still not ready for an african american, i wouldn't mind him winning, he seems like a good guy, but i dunno about everyone else. Besides, Hillary has her husband around, he's gonna help her tremendously so she could win. He was after all a former president. If Obama DOES win for the democrats, boy, now that's something!!
looking from outside, obama could save the tarnished reputatation of the US abroad. he could represent everything that has been underrepresented, along with all the fundamental values of America. Through him, Americans can show to the world that they want change, reconciliation and tolerance, instead of arrogance and self-righteousness. And you will start making friends abroad and not enemies. As a non-American, I hope Obama wins for the sake of America and the world.
I totally support this post, this guy hit the nail on the head - how could any body hate a country where a man who pulled himself up by his own bootstraps is able to be president.
A man should not be judged by the volume of his words, but the valor behind his words, the action behind his work. The man that best represents America with a broad Vision of unity is barack Obama- I support your endevors Mr. Obama- May God be with you through these times.
Dude that's generally not a good idea. He may be a good president, but politicians are great at convincing people they are great in two minutes. With that said, I agree with you (I am a hypocrite, but I still wish I would live up to my own standards)
I still feel that he, like most others in his field, will only play politics. That being said how he plays them tends to be the way that is better for his constituents, but when time comes to stand in the face of popular passions this type of political acclamation will only service to make rash decisions as have been made.

How great it would be to have this man be the face of America to the world.

It would be great if the people chose who they want rather than each party forcing their choice on the people. I hope he runs in 2008.

As a generally right wing minded person, I would vote for this guy in an instant. Why? I like the idea of him representing our country.

Obamas track record indicates a dedication to helping people rather than taking an easier course
