  • Amazing..

  • In 2008, this statue was confirmed to be rebuild! It will cost roughly €200,000,000. Can't wait.

  • Haha he said 3rd leg.

Notice the statue when crumbling buckled at its Knees. First of all the statue was destroyed by God because of the act of Idolatry by the Rhodians. The statue buckled at it's knees signifying the statues creators needed to humble themselves, get down on their knees and worship the true Father God.

  • FUCKING OTTOMANS melted the fallen statue for scrap metal, worthless philistine muslims

  • Romans better god killers then Kratos...

  • 12yr why not 7yr?

  • They will be guessing the fate of our monuments in the future. I hope they blame it on Bush.

  • @internationalgiant1 ..no obama

  • lol a statue, a tribute, a wonder of the ancient world...SOLD FOR BRONZE SCRAP?!

  • ο κολοσσος της ροδου πρεπει να ξαναχτιστει............

  • This was a good video to help me on my research

  • If the colossus was still here today, god would it be brilliant...

  • @ColossusOfRhodes1

The idea it's self makes the Eiffel Tower seem like nothing.

  • If that statue was here today I would probably be admiring it all day :0

  • Ushiku Daibutsu could have stepped on the Colossus and scraped it off its foot.

  • é mais facil isso ter existido,do que jesus cristo.

  • The Colossus of Rhodes was the depiction of Helios. Helios is the sun god and is the son of zeus. These people were mentioned in the Bible in the book of Revelations. Helios is the beast from the pit and is the personification of Satan. Also, the similarity between the Colossus of Rhodes and the statue of liberty is no coincidence. She also is the personification of the light bearer which is lucifer or Helios the sun god.

  • too bad that Colossus doesnt exist anymore.

  • @IHATEDRIVING2 you should blame kratos, look up, kratos vs colossus

  • i think is the best 7 wonder of the ancient world...i will not regret dying after seeing it!

  • Thumbs up everything!

  • The battle they won was at sea so they should have built a statue of poseidon instead of helios.Since poseidon was also the god of earthquacks he was probably the one who wrecked the thing. My opinion (>3<).

  • kratos FUCKING KILLED THAT THING

  • @MrFalloutUniverse fucking KRATOS!

  • @MrFalloutUniverse you dont know anything about our history so silence please....dont make me take measures....

  • Proves ancient people were far from stupid.

  • I hope they rebuild it! Glorious!

  • it was destroyed by kratos from god of war 2.

  • the state of liberties husband

  • helios got his head rip of by kratos in GoW3 XD

  • If they really rebuild this... WOW

  • What an outstanding piece of engineering!!!!!

It must have been a very impressive sight!

  • was there real the Colossus of Rhodes back then? or was it stories?

  • It was real

  • god, that would of been a sight to see

  • @IIIArrow711

No doubt, but we have the Statue of Liberty so we at least have something similar.

  • @IIIArrow711 There are plans underway to rebuild it. Should help with tourism, I think.

  • I've read that they are going to rebuild this, I'm excited

  • I wish more magnificent statues like these were common

  • maybe kratos did exist and make colossus die?

  • it's differint than the one that you fight in God Of War 2

  • collosus was destroyed by an earthquake and burnt down into liquid metal there!

  • The collapse of Helios was caused by a great emptyness of what was inside the statue. The designer should have realized that.If we have an empty stomach all the time, will we survive?

  • Comment removed

  • tanks, needed for my homework

  • yeah! the colossus of rhodes rocks! makes me want to go to greece someday lol

  • The Greeks pwned back then.

  • "O thou Helios, send me as far over the Earth as is my pleasure and thine, and may I make the acquaintance of good men, but never hear anything of bad ones, nor they of me."- Apollonios.

  • what an awesome quote you put as comment..and how prolific the words are and relevant to myself as a person..and to us all i gather..thank you..ive written it down in my notes..
