Changing the words spanking to beating doesn't make your argument valid. They don't even mean the same in the dictionary. You purposely changed the words and therefore your creditworthiness dropped like a rock.

Spanking and beating only mean the same thing to idiots and people with an agenda that don't care about being correct. I spank my wife but I don't beat her. I would beat a robber but I wouldn't spank one. I hate theists as much as the next guy, but this is dumb. Let’s not confuse parents who care about their children who slap their hand away from a hot stove and those who throw them down the stairs and lock them in the basement.  You are so blind you can't see the difference.

@redolentofmark for a child there is no difference between a beating and a spanking...

even if you only spank a child it hurts it, not only the physical but the mental abuse causes most people to suffer of it for the rest of their lifes.

I see your point. I won't deny that, but I'm sorry some of what you said I believe is very unfair and it is completely irrational to ask anyone to change there way of life or beliefs especially when you use guilt force. Some of what you say is fact and the abuse on children is disgusting. But you're asking Christians to give up there religion and then mock them saying there God is imaginary in my eyes that's the same as asking a homosexual to be straight as it can cause discrimination.

Sorry, yes when I compared homosexuals I didn't consider that, but it is still unfair as is asking an individual with different hobbies, beliefs or views to change.

What people like, dislike, believe or whatever isn't something they are born with as peers, environment, experiences etc can change that.
