actually something nobody ever mentions: if peter sellers did not win an academy award for this, then name me one other performance that year as good, a....and give me one performance EVER by any comic any better, more fantastic danny Kaye would do several roles at once, but nothing with this kind of bite or variety

all it really shows is the vapidity of the academy awards and the shallowness

how they refuse to even consider comedy as acting this was one of the great performances

Is the AFI full of cross-dressers?? Some Like It Hot I can see (quite funny), but Dr. Strangelove holds up MUCH better than "Tootsie". I saw "Tootsie" again recently, and it seemed very dated and not all that funny. "Strangelove" kills every time I watch it.

Also, Some Like It Hot and Tootsie?!?! What the fuck, alright Some Like It Hot is pretty good, not a big fan of Tootsie. Dr Strangelove is THE greatest comedy EVER.
