Heavy voices like Clouds and Thunder.
This is okay, but you have to admit the final high note is pretty weak. I know it's not fair to compare modern singers with the greats, but there are a few recordings of Corelli doing this on YouTube that absolutely murder this video. His voice just seems so covered and non-vibrant, almost impotent or tired in this clip. I don't like Domingo, but his YT video of this carries and is supple in all the ways this isn't, although the final high note is also weak.

This is from Arena di Verona (1883), as Nicola Martinucci sung Callaf opposite an amazingly majestic Ghena Dimitrova. A wonderful performance, probably the best I have seen in the TV.
Some 18 years later, the same tenor sung the same role at La Scala opposite a very mediocre Alessandra Marc. Martinucci, in spite of his 60, was still good, but the costumes were terrible and the scenery rather bad.
No comparison with the first mentioned performance.
This is my favourite version of "Nessun Dorma" - the most beautiful aria! Tenor has absolutely incredibly voice! Who is it? What is his name? Is he a very famous tenor?
