I think the cop had a right to taser the guy. Regardless of is the guy was already on the ground and got tasered again.The man obviously had a gun, and could have shot and killed someone,instead he got tased and will be fine.The officer needed to make sure the man couldnt pull out his gun,look at some other videos,it is possible for someone to take out the prongs and shoot someone,however unlikely.

TO ALL WHO DONT LIKE TASER: Resisting arrest by trying to avoid lawful detainment by physically trying to evade the officer or tensing up is known as active physical resistance and the Taser is actually the most humane method that could be used. Baton is likely to break bones. O.C. pepper spray can cause blindness and lasts longer than the Taser. Going hands on is more likely to cause long term injury to both the subject and the officer. Please do some research before posting stupid comments.

interesting that he doesn't shoot right away. on the other hand, in case anyone hasn't noticed, police lately have been having a bit of a "problem" shooting and killing unarmed men. They are trained to shoot to kill and to shoot if ignored, but it doesn't surprise me too much to see that this officer opted to tase the guy... he wasn't running very fast anyhow. to me more interesting than that is the way he's holding his gun- muscles all tensed up and shouting around him to "BACK OFF!"

I was only comparing the relative speed's suggesting the tazer has a very slow mussel velocity to slow to hit an object that changes direction mid fire and I can easily run at 25 mph i use to do track... mate.

I have seen all these uses where I can't imagine the police could have handled the situation without a gun." But make sure you see the EMG weapons they are using to break up crowds with nausea.
