Basically, there's no question that the Duggars' children are completely wanted and loved. I've never watched the Kate/8 show, but just from the ads, you can tell it's very different. The whole vibe is sort of trashy. NOT THE KIDS, mind you, they need our prayers and love. (So do the parents I guess) I'd love to get reincarnated as a Duggar. lol

both of these women need some serious counseling.Somthing off about a mom that would let their kids grow up with cameras in their face all the time and that keep having kid after kid when the doctors have said "Look lady,its getting dangerous.Chill with the babies"
@bowIegdwombat They're not in their face all the time. You only see them that way, because, well...they're on tv sometimes. I've heard the Duggars say that they spend less time making a tv show than most people's kids do watching tv in a week. I love it.
I can't speak about the Gosselins as I've never seen that show, though it seems the dad, not the mom, is the one who wanted to glam it up so much that he left his family. Ish.

I'm not a TV hound, however, if I happen to see the Duggar family on TLC, I pause to watch them. People who hate them are scary and we ought not just to pray, but to declare Isa. 54: "No weapon formed against me shall prosper and every wicked tongue that rises up against me, I shall condemn, for this is my heritage as a servant of the LORD". H -m-m-m, that's pretty direct!
Just goes to show you the difference between a family with a true commitment to God and their faith, and one with two narcissistic, self -absorbed parents. I really hope the Gosselins can repair their relationship so their kids don't turn into screw-ups.
I like both of these families. However, I think it's clear that being on tv had some very negative effects on the Gosselin family, and I worry about how it will effect the Duggers. As much as I enjoy watching the shows I really do think that too much publicity would be harmful to any family.
