I saw this... was star gazing... it was sitting still in the sky the whole time then suddenly started to move and seemed to go out into space. It looks like a regular star in sky.

I can identify it for you!
They are "Sky Lanterns" - basically, you light a fire, and quite like a hot air balloon, takes off!
They get picked up by the winds and can move at quite a pace, floating along - and all in the same direction.
They appear red, orange, yellow and they "glow". Quite like fire!
I saw some of these at Glastonbury once, floating over the festival, I thought - Wow! UFO, it was until I learned what they were, now it's an IFO.
They're still very cool
