  • This stuff is ok, but not that great. What should really fill your stomach, just one egg and an oily bread?

  • What is that big thing she throws on at the end, right before she wraps it up?

  • @millerprebecca it's like a cracker

  • there is no plum sauce, you asked her what sauce that was. she answered "sweet flour sauce" which is super popular in northern China. you also eat Peking duck with that sauce

  • @SmallShark it's called Hoi Sin Sauce. it's sweet & it's good on any meat.****

  • Is that really heat resistance bag ??

  • I've eaten this in Guiyang, China. That version also had a potato filling, just like the Indian Dosa, excepting the egg. Also, the vegetable filing was more spicier, as the Southern Chinese food tends to be very spicy.

I'm of Indian origin. Most Indians think that the Chinese eat dogs, cats or insects most of the time. Hope they can see from such videos that this is not at all true.

  • @fernandesfran

I went to China and there was only 1 or 2 restaurants that served dog. Haven't seen a single of either one in Shanghai, and I never saw a cat restaurant at all.

I did see a bunch of insects, but then again, it was in the street food area.

  • look like thosai....hehehe

  • i remember being scared about trying this until one day i did BEST DECISION IN MY LIFE

  • omg drool. that looks so delicious! never had it, but i really want it!

  • Nice...Iron Chef style.

  • omg, just like how i remembered... except i always asked to have you-tiao inside instead

  • so cool how similar this is to crepes =D

  • Oh this is DOSA like in India , so similar food

  • It looks delicious

  • looks tempting

  • I ate these almost everyday I was in Beijing!

  • If someone opened a jianbing stall here in Europe, I'd instantly become religious and thank the gods.

  • @intigfx Okay, I was thinking about opening an authentic Chinese restaurant/cafe in Berlin. How far would that be from you? lol

  • @belovedpeartree If you make jianbing, I'd do the Brussels-Berlin trip regularly. Heck, I'd move to Berlin eventually :D

  • looks delish!

  • liang kuai wu... no more than that, if you paid more than that your an idiot lol

and this jian bing you can find it almost everywhere in wudaokou, students place =D

  • but this is and tiajing specialety not beijing

  • this also one of my favorite street foods :D

  • IN MY HOMETOWN ITS PRICE ONLY 2YUAN...

  • wow looks good, how much did it cost?

  • It used to be about 10 Yuan (2004), which is a little over $1 dollar.

    I am a Beijinger.

  • @0112337 still about the same in 2008

  • No Beijinger would pay 10 kuai for this! 2-3 kuai tops! (That's 30 - 45 cents US). I once had a guy try to charge me 10 kaui and I walked away without paying. I may not be Chinese, but I know what a jian bing is worth!

  • Comment removed

  • lol thats funny the vendor didn't assault you for walking away w/o paying right.

  • you got ripped off big time then! jian bing in Beijing is usually around 2-4 kuai. even shan dong jian bing (which is huge) costs 4 kuai. was there 2008-2009

  • @MCRateNGo Normally cost 20 pence or 30-40 cence

  • This looks similar to an Arab bread recipe I watched here on YT called rukak or Arabic bread Rugag.

It was the same, except for adding the plum sauce n chilli when flipping it over.

  • How much r these in American money I'm going to china beijing next week n I'm trying this for sure

  • Looks simple. Find the recipe and we can make it at home.

  • My favourite food in all of Beijing! I miss them So much!

  • This we say as EGG DOSAI in TAMILNADU STATE.

VERY FAMOUS SOUTH INDIAN ( TAMIL ) DISH

Can be also got in SINGAPORE ,MALAYSIA ,TAMILNADU ,SRILANKA ,INDIA

  • Nope. It's not egg dosai. totally 2 totally different things. the sauce is chinese sauce, and the flour is diff too. both taste great tho.

just curious, why would you think China have indian food as one of their street food?

  • not the same

  • They remind me of burritos at the end. :D

    I ♥ burritos de asada! :)
