I rather Go to a mega church and strength my faith by them "Fancy" preachers and their "fancy" teachings (which they are true according to the word) Than go to a church where all they teach is hate and focus on the bad of other preachers and when I come out im more bitter than when I came in. If they are wrong let God deal with them, dont waste time on pointing out the imperfections of Humans, we where already know. Preach on the blessings and promises God has for us! He wants us to prosper.
@devinesmurf0723 the truth of the matter is that America and Europe have been infiltrated and literally overthrown without one shot being fired,,,what youll see soon increasingly in the news is regular americans who believe in the constitution being arrested with no trial and called terrorists,,if youre a christian u have cause to be worried. These people call their project the new world order its world gov look it up on google and learn all you can infowarsdotcomm alex jones LEARN
@devinesmurf0723 The preacher in this video preached from 1 Timothy chapter 6 which is straight from the bible. There are many bible verses on false teachings and false ministers of the gospel. It's so important that the Apostle Paul confronted Peter to his very face. You can go ahead and focus on prosperity and on this life, but I pray to God it doesn't cause you to ship wreck your faith like the word says.
The jews were better then those christian ministers. The jews didnt even take the money judas gave them. They called it "Blood Money". Today mobsters will kill someone feel guilty and donate millions to a church. God will judge this country.
I wonder if Donnie ever looked up at the three stores in his own sanctuary when he was preaching against turning God's House into a den of thieves? I have been to Family Worship Center several times and there are two different places to buy Jimmy Swaggart’s CDs, DVDs and other merchandise and there is one thrift store, in the sanctuary.
I bless the Lord that finally the truth about the prosperity gospel is preached.
The preachers who promise you miracles and financial blessings in return for your offerings, are the false prophets whom the Lord Jesus warned about in Matthew 24:11. The Church must repent. God judges sin and the love of money is the beginning of all evil.
Is all about your money.. Mat 10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Mat 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.. Notice the savior doesn't want your money only the money preachers. For their new cars homes and jets. They don't even honor the true name of Yahushua and Yahuwah..They dont even teach truth.. Is sad..
I personally have heard Donnie say similar things. The whole prosperity message is not so different from the word of faith movement, and the fact is, Jimmy Swaggart was one of the main people who set it up. Jimmys primary mentor in evangelism, Oral Roberts, was clearly obsessed with wealth and prosperity.
Preachers of the gospel, should be mirrored after Christ, and Jesus didn't have billon dollar production studios, mansions, or designer clothes with gold, diamonds and pearls all over him.
And yet JSM sold the first edition of their so-called "Expositors Study Bible" even though it was missing scriptures and sometimes whole chapters! And they knew it and still sold them to people without telling them. Hypocrites to the fullest extent!!!!!!!!!!
praise God for this word!! I once attended a mega prosperity church. God took me out at the right time. The prosperity gospel and the churches that preach it grieve my spirit. We cant give up but we need to pray.
This guy obviously has a large, prosperous church so I think his emotional delivery is a bit overdone. And he lost me at 3:20 when he made the sign of Satan with his hand toward the audience.
Did I manipulate the people or did I preach the Word? That is an excellent reminder for all servants of Christ Jesus. We pastors are not in the business to make money but to be ministers of God's word to a world that is perishing under its weight in sin and evil. Thank you for reminding me once again of the importance of being a good steward of what God has given to me, both in material possessions and in His saving word. Thank you.
I really detest this kind of loud, agitated, overly-dramatic, pugnacious sermonizing. As far as I'm concerned, this kind of delivery of a sermon seriously interferes with the substance of what is preached. Share the truth in love, by all means reprove, rebuke, and exhort when it is necessary; just do so without a striving attitude, in meekness instructing those to whom you preach. This is the command of Scripture.
The message is the important part. so he gets a bit exited... so what really?
Being effusive, having indignation for the lies and having the fire in the heart for seeing so many being fooled... Nothing wrong with that so long as he doesn't sin.
So many false prophets from India and other countries that speak softly and peacefully yet their messages are full of Satanic spirit inspired lies.
This gives us a hint; that one need not be soft spoken to deliver a message of truth.
Well this chap seems like a very excitable fellow - compare his over the top barely controlled showmanship with the quiet but confident delivery of a Buddhist teacher.
I read the Bible yesterday and found this passage when Elisha´s servant Gehazi wanted to recieve money for the work God did through Elisha (he healed Naaman the leper): "..Is it a time to recieve money, and to recieve garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants? The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and to thy seed forever." (2 Kings 5:26 KJV)
And before that Elisha refused to recieve gifts from Naaman.
I quoted from the Bible. Your problem is not with me. Your definition of Life and more abundantly is the problem. Here is another verse that will trouble your theology:
Deut 32:39 Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.
The Abundant Life is having Jesus Christ in your life. ...Having Salvation and Fellowship with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords...Yes, God does open doors and provides for HIs People but those things are just icing on the cake. My Sufficiency is in Christ ALONE. Colossians 2:10 says we are complete "in Him".
The Word Faith Movement in my opinion has the wrong view of God as it places trust in metaphysics as opposed to trust in God. It relies on a Universal Faith-Force that is in obedience to certain cosmic laws that God also must obey. God becomes something that can be manipulated through Positive Affirmation. Word Faith techniques such as Positive Confession and faith are not one in the same as it promotes ones own selfish desires.
The belief that one is able to wield a metaphysical force with infinite potential is not only an attempt to deny reality but an attempt to alter reality itself through the use of cosmic incantation.
Jesus DID NOT CARE about worldy riches. He cared about spiritual things. The Bible is very clear about that. Do people who follow these moronic idiotic prosperity preachers not know how to read.
I dont understand how any educated person who knows how to read can believe in this prosperity crap. If you claim to be a follower of Christ he makes it very clear on what he thinks about pursuing worldy wealth. He told the rich young man who came to him to sell everything he owned he wanted to be his disciple. He said it is extremely difficult for a rich man to enter heaven. Because he knew that riches can become a god. The Bible is very clear on this issue. Wake up people!
Beware of the many false prophets who teach regularly on TBN. These wolves in sheeps clothing teach of a Third Movement classified as the Third Wave of Signs and Wonders that is comprised of Word Faith Doctrines that make God subservient to man due to the belief that God must operate under certain spiritual laws dictated by men. Please stay away from these heretical teaching, may the Lord rebuke these false prophets that practice these detestable doctrines!
Acts 20:23 "Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me"
Nope, you cannot live in fleshly prosperity if God didn´t intended itfor your life. Take authority? Even though you have authority in Jesus, your faith has to grow NATURALLY (by grace and love) first up to a level before you can do all these miracles. Ok?
The prosperity teachings are erroneous in it´s very core. Everything you do there seem to be in your own strenght and you are walking by the law.
The real faith is growing in you through grace and love, and is not centered by what you should do. And if you let faith grow naturally everything you do will be full of grace and truth.
Blaming a handicapped (for example) for having lack of faith makes you centralize the things you should do, and thus you will be walking by the law. It´s not good.
Christians tend to use 'sovereignty' to explain why bad things happen to good people. "God is sovereign," they say, "& His ways are above our ways." Yes, God is sovereign. And He sovereignly gave His authority over to man -Adam- who gave it to Satan. Jesus came and took that authority back from the devil and returned it to mankind. God can't lie, & He can't take back the authority He gave us, & He can't act in our stead, no matter how big a mess we make. To do so would make Him a liar.
Nobody's perfect & everybody makes mistakes, even Paul & other revered biblical figures. We can't model ourselves after them or use their experiences as excuses b/c they're no different than we are: humans prone to failure, carnality & lapses of judgment. The bible is full of stories of what NOT to do [like Paul asking God to do something he's supposed to do himself, or Judah & Abraham's deceptions] but for some reason people make demigods of biblical figures, deifying their every action.
He did, but Paul was unable to fix it himself because as a human he's weak & can't overcome spiritual forces w/flesh & blood. God didn't expect Paul to just tolerate the thorn; He told him that His grace [power] was more than enough to overcome his human disadvantage. B/c of Jesus, Paul had authority to speak to the enemy on God's behalf. Then everyone would know the thorn was removed by divine power, not by Paul's own works. If Paul failed to do recognize this, that doesn't make it false.
Like Jesus, Paul was submitted to God's will. [Just like he was willing to to go Jerusalem knowing that chains await him (Acts 20:23)] This is why he petitioned God to remove the thorn. Paul was right to petition God and each of us should be submitted to Him.
BTW- It's amazing that some people think they have more revelation than the Apostle Paul.
The Holy Spirit warned Paul many times not to go to Jerusalem, but he was determined. Even disciples "said to Paul THROUGH THE SPIRIT, that he should not go up to Jerusalem [Acts21:4]" God's will is not mysterious or dangerous; repeatedly He begs us to "choose life"-Deut
Paul wasn't the peak of christian achievement; he was a man like us, & we're apostles like him. The Holy Spirit warned Paul to stay away from Jerusalem, but he was determined. Disciples "said to Paul THROUGH THE SPIRIT, that he should NOT go up to Jerusalem."-Acts21:4. God's will isn't mysterious-Deut.30:11-14. He repeatedly tells us choose life-Deut.30:19, the Lord takes PLEASURE in the PROSPERITY of His servant-Ps.35:27, I wish above all things that you PROSPER & be in HEALTH-3John2.
The scriptures you share seemingly appear to contradict other scriptures but I believe these disciples who warned him were made aware by the Spirit that persecution awaited him in Jerusalem and warned him. Acts 19: 21, 20:22 & 21:14 imply that it was God's will to go there. He was "compelled by the Spirit". The Lord also confirmed his going there in Acts 23:11 and then in 23:1 Paul even said he lived in "good conscience" to that day.
Although God needed Paul in Jerusalem, we can't assume that the Holy Spirit meant for him to go to Jerusalem at the time that he did; in fact, the many warnings he received would indicate otherwise. God's timing is always best, & it seems obvious God wanted him to wait for a more opportune time. God wasn't trying to send Paul to his doom; how would Paul's death be profit? As long as he was alive, he could carry the gospel to more people. The only one that wanted Paul dead was Satan.
How would Paul's death be of profit? With him being persecuted (and eventually killed), the Lord worked it out where we new have many of his epistles which ended up giving us many books in the new testament. Whatever the Enemy does God is two steps ahead of him.
3 John 2 is a favorite verse of the WOF crowd but it is merely a salutation to have a safe journey. So in your mind and others like you, do you think a Christian should never be persecuted if they are doing God's will?
Jesus said that whoever leaves possessions, family, etc. for His sake "shall receive an hundredfold NOW IN THIS TIME: houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions.. " With persecutions? Yes, in this world we can expect persecution, but He continues "In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." Christians forget the second part of that verse & never exercise their right to overcome persecution thru Jesus.
To all those troglodytes that like to sneer at the 'prosperity gospel' & think it's promoting a life of ease & excess... try it. Whoever said it's easy to walk by faith has never done it. It's harder to exercise faith & authority than it is to sit back & blame everything on God's 'unknowable will.' Put your faith to work for you! Get out on the water! Change the world! Be like Jesus, not like Job!
the only ones living a life of ease and excess are the WOLVES who are on the television airwaves that gullible people send their money too! And no I'm not sitting back blaming people. I'm out working but I realize that God is Sovereign and HE does allows his servants to go through hardships just like he did with Job and countless other righteous men.
Christians love to compare themselves to Job, quoting his famous "the Lord giveth & taketh away, though He slay me yet will I trust Him." But what's God say? After Job's pity party, his friends "ceased to answer Job, b/c he was righteous in his own eyes".. Job "justified himself rather than God." Elihu says "I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God's behalf..Far be it from God, that he should do wickedness..Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom."
Read Job ch. 42: 7 After the LORD had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has. 8 So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has."
God was angry w/Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar; not Elihu, who spoke on His behalf. When He said Job had spoken rightly of Him, it was in reference to 42:1-6, when Job repented of self-righteousness. The 3 men God was angry with had been exacerbating the situation by telling Job what he wanted to hear instead of telling him the truth, like Elihu.
Elihu's theology was close to the Truth but he was still wrong concerning Job. Job responded correctly to his initial tests. Look at Job 1:20-22 and Job 2:10. In both instances he attributed his affliction to God's Sovereignty. After both instances the Scripture says "in all this, Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong" or "sin with is lips".
Elihu's rebuttal came a full 30 chapters later, & was the final word on the situation other than that which was spoken by God Himself. God doesn't test or tempt us w/evil things [Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man. Js.1:13] Death & destruction are evil things, & we know that the thief comes only to steal, kill & destroy[John10:10]. If God 'sovereignly' tormented us, that'd just make Him a sadist.
God does not entice us to sin but he does allow the enemy to (read Job ch. 1. ) God does test us. Read Hebrews 11:17 "By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up his only son". God does Sovereignly allow temptations in our life but he ALWAYS makes a way of escape (1 cor 10:13). The testings come to refine us. Many times the afflictions are used to draw us closer to Him and/or to be a testimony for Him.
just because somebody (Job) does something right ONE time. Doesn't mean they're right all of the time. I agree with 019393. you are only quoting part of the chapter, read it as a whole. 019393 will prove to be right. why did you hide their comments?
no one hid any comments. Regarding Job, the point is that God allows adversity in our lives because He is Sovereign. I've known good Christian people who have suffered sickness or tragedy. Like job's friends, the Word of Faith people teach that it is because of our sin or lack of faith that we are not healed. That is wrong.
just because "good Christian people" suffer sickness and other tragedies, doesn't mean that that is God's will. God gave us the freedom to make our own decisions. that includes the decision to be sick. they are right that christians do not get healed because of a lack of faith. it's sad, but DEFIANTLY TRUE. read Isaiah 53:5. He has done everything he could for our healing. it is up to us, to have the Faith to receive it! God's works with the faith of His people.
You may not believe it but sick people ARE used to bring glory to Him. Look at Joni Erikson Tada. THere are countless other examples of Christians who are born handicapped or were injured along the way and now live for Him and share the gospel, winning souls for him.
What's a better witness of God's power & love: a christian who lives a life of heartache & misery, or a christian who overcomes the troubles of this world by the name & blood of Jesus? It doesn't take any talent to get sick, but it gets people's attention when someone is healed. If sickness brings God glory, then you shouldn't ever take any medicine or try to get better, b/c you're stealing glory from God.
In both situations God can be glorified. I person who lives a life of affliction can bring glory to Him because in the midst of the storm they have peace knowing Whose Hands they are in. They are surrendered to what He wants. They have that peace the Apostle Paul speaks of; the peace that surpasses all understanding.
You say it doesn't take any "talent" but it does take Faith and Trust to simply entrust your life into the Hands of Your Maker. Look at Stephens death in front of Saul. You don't think that impacted Paul's life? if you have time go to my church's website and listen to the message called "Living Your Life for God's Good". It's re: Rms 8:28 which is often used as a christian good luck charm. The correct transation of that verse says God works everything out for HIS good.
O19393 - I totally agree with your statement. Additionally, In the book of james it is written "every good thing and every perfect comes from above....." God does NOT bring sickness or death or poverty on anyone. However, satan does; with your cooperation whether you know it or nor. God does not assign you a date of death either. He receives you, not take you. Paul decided he was ready to go and God received him. LIfe glories God.
1 Samuel 2: 6 "The LORD brings death and makes alive; he brings down to the grave [c] and raises up. 7 The LORD sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts. 8 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. "For the foundations of the earth are the LORD's; upon them he has set the world. "
1Cor2two - would you want to be misunderstood because your words were being taken out of context? However, if YOU are convinced that God brings poverty and death I will not argue with you. BUT my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ said that He came so that I may have LIFE and have it more abundantly. Now, you guess who I will absolutely believe. His is Jesus the Christ. Satan has you confused and he is a liar from the beginning.
Anyway, what constitutes good? Talk to Muslims & you will see a different perspective on good works. For example, they believe in "good" polygamy.
Faith is the qualifier, works is the quantifier.
For a person who needs transportation prosperity could mean owning a reliable used car. For an unemployed person it could mean getting a full time job.
Prosperity is not a dirty word, it's the excess, the lust, & the greed that undid Satan.
and Justification isnt just a one time thing no to be ultimately justified you MUST have Good works of God, but there not out works...there Gods work, and theology is ignorant on this fact, but deep inside i think we all know what is true.
Please clarify. If you listen to more of this man's teachings you'd know he believes that deeds follow true faith. But we are justified by Faith alone.
To niceguy33. AMEN! Jesus had access to whatever money he needed; even getting money (at that time money was in the form of coins) out of a fish's mouth to pay taxes. He was most definitely NOT poor.
Thank God for the true Gospel, people who are new in Christ
need the true teachings of christ to be delivered. It took me a few year to recognize the pozi schemes and I praise God. Let all use the Bible as their Guide
Preach it bro! This guy is totally on target. The only thing I disagree with is that Jesus wasnt rich. Jesus was rich. Jesus had a treasurer, poor people dont have treasurers. Also, when He died the Roman Soliders put money down on His clothes. Now if Christ was poor why would they want His clothes? So, Jesus was rich, but our focus shouldnt be on money it should be on the Lord!
The scriptures present Jesus as average in appearance and prominence. Not only did He not attract from his outward appearance but he also lowly in His dress and demeanor. Isaiah describes a man we wouldnt recognize as important if we saw Him on the street. The fact that Judas had to identify him for the arresting party shows us that he looked similar to the other regular Jewish men of his time.
There was no outward attraction by appearance or status that they should desire Him, he did not dress in the finest clothes. None of his disciples followed Him because of any promise of earthly prosperity as he was asking them to leave all. He did not tell them to do something that He Himself did not do.
Jesus was poor, Jesus was so poor he did not have a place to lay his head,
they faught over his clothers, cause he did some amzing things, and the scipture had to fufilled, the word, says that they were goign to do that, Jesus did miracles, thats why they faught over his Clothes, Jesus was poor on this eart, get right,
People gave towards his ministry. As for putting money down for his clothes. People do stuff like that today over "worthless" items. They might have felt it would be of value to some of his followers and sell it to them. and why did someone have to help to provide the burial site for his remains? Wouldn't his Mother have all his money or someone in his family? Or did Jesus neglect sharing with his family?
remember the rich young ruler...and what jesus told him to do? God is judging the spirit of mammon in the church...selah...the worlds judgment is in the shawdow of the church...preach christ, and him crucified...his return is nigh...keep preaching donnie!!!
Sure. Heard of Horus? Same story as Jesus only 1200 BC. How about the book of the dead? The exact 10 commandments are found in the book of the dead.
How about the Sun symbol around Jesus's head? Yep, the Ra Symbol came from Egyptian's. What about the famous Crucifix? Yep, stolen from the Egyptian Symbol called the Ankh. Research everything I mentioned and it will be obvious to you. All of this came from between 2,000 -1,00 B.C.
i looked up Horus in an Encyclopedia and to say the story was ripped off is a stretch. The book of the Dead has to do with the afterlife. Am I missing something?
Who cares? All religions are lies and dumb fairy tales. Take Christianity for example. Any smart individual knows that Christianity is a direct rip off of Egyptian Beliefs
Teachings of Jesus Christ: Sermon on the Mount. No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
"THEY" are selling Jesus...not us who know what the scriptures are REALLY saying about prosperity...Creflo Dollar and his Rolls Royce & Kenneth & Gloria Copeland & their many mansions and private jets, ALL will stand before God one day and they will be judged accordingly, guess they either don't care or they don't believe they will pay for their abominations:(
I believe in moderation for ALL, even though they CAN buy all the stuff u mentioned. Nevertheless, if GOD blessed them then, they will not be questioned by GOD. But like I said moderation is KEY....
The Bible doesn't say no rich man will enter his kingdom but Jesus does say in Matt 19:23 I tell you the truth it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
How about looking at the context? You know, in the world today, if you had access to post this message on a computer, then you are a rich man...are you worried...I'm not. i know that Jesus was making a point that it is impossible for a man to make it into Heaven, BUT... God does the impossible! He has made a way for us. Now how about everybody who feels its there right to judge just shut up, and listen to the words of Christ.
Folks do love to talk about Solomons riches yet they forget
God was not pleased with Solomon, Solomon turned to idol worship. Solomon had many wives who worshipped many Gods. He has the money to care for many wives yet look
what happened.
The purpose of the Gospel is not to become wealthy but to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.
The Lords workers are to live from the Gospel . Even so we know great wealth can turn one away from God,thats a no brainer.
2 Kings 5:26 Is it time to receive money and to receive clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male and female servants, Rolls Royces, private Jets,
mansions?
This pentecostal blessing is not to be traded for money. There too many Gehazi servant preachers who have their eyes on naaman's riches, and are coming under a curse.
Exodus 23:8 "And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the discerning and perverts the words of the righteous.
It is sad that prosperity preachers (especially TBN) use their T.V. mediums for the financial benefit of their "ministry," Instead of using their T.V. time to teach biblical truth concerning the greatest message of all: The Gospel...How men can be justified through the atoning blood of Jesus...such an essential message in Christianity!
Paula White is a scam artist. She stole from the poor when she was at the Church Without Walls. They closed her down there & now she is teaching false doctrine on TV. Still fleecing the people who can least afford it. I have to admit, she is a great con artist. I loved the video. Thank you.
I believe in prosperity,I just dont believe that you need to give to the preachers,to get back more. But either way if you give, give with love like its said, what does it benefit if we dont do it with love.
Yes. I think the NT quotes Jesus as saying "give to the least of these" meaning the poor, orphans, widows--not greedy con artists passing themselves off as preachers.
The majority of preachers on TV aren't even ordained.
You know what? I'm Wiccan. I haven't set foot in a church in fifteen years. But I have to give it up to you, Rev. Maybe if there were more preachers like you brave enough to call out the charlatans, prosperity pimps and snake oil salesmen in your midst, non-Christians wouldn't be so hostile y'all. Keep up the good work!
so true. im a christian, and unfortunately some of the greediest, most controlling, manipulative and fake people i have encountered have been from the church. however, i have also met a great deal of genuine people who would do anything for you from the church.
so i guess this preacher is okay with being on youtube,i tired of preachers attacking each other when they are suppose to be building up and giving those hope who are on their last leg
There is a difference between attacking other preachers for no reason and attacking them for preaching a FALSE DOCTRINE known as the Prosperity Gospel. This is exactly what he is doing! He's exposing these pulpit pimps who need to be attacked!
AMEN, it is rare you hear a pastor speak the TRUTH. ALL these false evangelist r going to fall down on their knees and BEG for MERCY. NO pastor s/b RICH for preaching the gospel
they s/b be comfortable not RICH. JESUS was not RICH in this world & he GAVE WAY MORE then all of them put together. ABBA said your riches are in the KINGDOM of HEAVEN (providing you make it) not on earth.
I don't think it was any prophets intention to urge us to let those in the pulpit rob poor people. Don't be afraid to oust these pulpit pimps, and that's what they are. The tactics they use to get donations are sinful. They are never content. They always want more and that would be great if they did not promise renewal of health and prosperity for the donors. Lots of people feel the way you do Dwoodsholta, that accounts for many elderly in food lines, supporting crooks' life styles.
Preachers like these inspire the wrong feelings and create further division in the body of christ. The devil know that a house divided will not stand. You don't have to agree with every message, but instead of spending so much energy coming against it, use it to witness to the lost and save those who have never even heard the good news.
One day my brothers and sisters every knee shall bow and every tounge shall confess that Jesus is Lord, and then shall we know if what was spoken is true.
dwoodsholla, there NEEDS to be division against these false brethren. You can't stand united with them can you? That's the alternative. Didn't the apostle paul call out by name those who were false teachers?
We must remember satin is out to destroy the plans of God. God desires that no one should perish on earth and in order to reach the lost across the world, there is no way we can do it without money. satin attempts to control the wealth of this world in order to establish his kingdom, so it should come as no surprise that Pastors who preach prosperity would be attacked for what they preach on the Kingdom of God.
Lack of revelation it what causes strife amongst the brethen not bank account
Go read Acts 3:6. Then come and tell me how much we need money. Money can and does come in handy but the Gospel is not hindered by a man's or churches lack of money.
Peter was at the temple to heal the sick, but I cant get over to a place like cambodia or Haiti without money for a plane ticket, money for shelter, money for transportation, money for food, money to feed the hungry, money to pay for medical supplies and on and on.
Lets not be soo spiritual that we are no good in the natural. Face it in the world we live in you can't do what needs to be done without money. The bible says the rich ruleth over the poor and that Money answereth all things..
I don't think you have watched the videos because you are not getting it. The prosperity pimps live in affluence and use the money given to buy mansions and rolls royces and buy and fly in their own private jets. They buy 10K dollar dogs, etc. Please do some research for yourself.
Its a good thing people who despise prosperity weren't alive during solomons days, I could only imagine.... One day we as the Body of Christ will stop debating on who should have money and who shouldn't and focus on who needs salavation. Our fight is not with flesh and blood, so let;s get off the attack of people and focus on what's truly at stake here.
Gal 1:6-9: I marvel that you so soon are being moved away from Him who called you into the grace of Christ, to another gospel,
which is not another, but some are troubling you, and desiring to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from Heaven preach a gospel to you beside what we preached to you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, and now I say again, If anyone preaches a gospel to you beside what you have received, let him be accursed.
The Bible says in Matthew 7:20-24 "Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Jesus taught against these folks who feel like it's their job to be watchdogs in the body of christ. When you try to pull up the tares you pull up some wheat also. I feel sorry for this preacher. When he gets to heaven he will see many ministers he ridiculed standing ahead of him in line. There is a process of correcting apostate behavior in the Bible and the first step is to go to them personlly. If you cant do that, keep your mouth closed and leave it up to God. I promise he can handle it.
you don't get this kind of preaching in modern christianity or mainstream christian churches. the truth is so watered down, i wonder if there will be anything left. i wish some people in the church would stop going off of their opinion's and just stick to the word of God.
Preach it brother! When at age 12 i had rhumatic fever, it was Jesus who healed me, and my parents were poor (but rich in Salvation) The rich young ruler couldn't give up his money and follow God, and I wonder what the prosperity preachers will say about their greed on judgment day.
I love to see preachers preach the Biblical cold hard truth. The truth is all that matters and sensationalism and secular ways are climaxing and it needs to stop. PREACH IT PREACHER!!!!!!

@devinesmurf0723 The preacher in this video preached from 1 Timothy chapter 6 which is straight from the bible. There are many bible verses on false teachings and false ministers of the gospel. It's so important that the Apostle Paul confronted Peter to his very face. The preachers who promise you miracles and financial blessings in return for your offerings, are the false prophets whom the Lord Jesus warned about in Matthew 24:11. The Church must repent. God judges sin and the love of money is the beginning of all evil.

Rylucero 2 years ago
The belief that one is able to wield a metaphysical force with infinite potential is not only an attempt to deny reality but an attempt to alter reality itself through the use of cosmic incantation.

Jesus DID NOT CARE about worldy riches. He cared about spiritual things. The Bible is very clear about that. Do people who follow these moronic idiotic prosperity preachers not know how to read.
yostanker 2 years ago
I dont understand how any educated person who knows how to read can believe in this prosperity crap. If you claim to be a follower of Christ he makes it very clear on what he thinks about pursuing worldy wealth. He told the rich young man who came to him to sell everything he owned he wanted to be his disciple. He said it is extremely difficult for a rich man to enter heaven. Because he knew that riches can become a god. The Bible is very clear on this issue. Wake up people!

Ok?
UfoFrilla 2 years ago

O19393 2 years ago
so why did paul ASK for his thorn in the flesh to be removed? Shouldn't he just demand/"take authority" over it ane make it to be gone?
1Cor2two 2 years ago
Nobody's perfect & everybody makes mistakes, even Paul & other revered biblical figures. We can't model ourselves after them or use their experiences as excuses b/c they're no different than we are: humans prone to failure, carnality & lapses of judgment. The bible is full of stories of what NOT to do [like Paul asking God to do something he's supposed to do himself, or Judah & Abraham's deceptions] but for some reason people make demigods of biblical figures, deifying their every action.
O19393 2 years ago
Let me get this straight. So Paul didn't really hear from God when God told him His grace is sufficient?
1Cor2two 2 years ago
He did, but Paul was unable to fix it himself because as a human he's weak & can't overcome spiritual forces w/flesh & blood. God didn't expect Paul to just tolerate the thorn; He told him that His grace [power] was more than enough to overcome his human disadvantage. B/c of Jesus, Paul had authority to speak to the enemy on God's behalf. Then everyone would know the thorn was removed by divine power, not by Paul's own works. If Paul failed to do recognize this, that doesn't make it false.
O19393 2 years ago
Like Jesus, Paul was submitted to God's will. [Just like he was willing to to go Jerusalem knowing that chains await him (Acts 20:23)] This is why he petitioned God to remove the thorn. Paul was right to petition God and each of us should be submitted to Him.
BTW- It's amazing that some people think they have more revelation than the Apostle Paul.
1Cor2two 2 years ago
The Holy Spirit warned Paul many times not to go to Jerusalem, but he was determined. Even disciples "said to Paul THROUGH THE SPIRIT, that he should not go up to Jerusalem [Acts21:4]" God's will is not mysterious or dangerous; repeatedly He begs us to "choose life"-Deut
O19393 2 years ago
O19393 2 years ago
The scriptures you share seemingly appear to contradict other scriptures but I believe these disciples who warned him were made aware by the Spirit that persecution awaited him in Jerusalem and warned him. Acts 19: 21, 20:22 & 21:14 imply that it was God's will to go there. He was "compelled by the Spirit". The Lord also confirmed his going there in Acts 23:11 and then in 23:1 Paul even said he lived in "good conscience" to that day.
1Cor2two 2 years ago
Although God needed Paul in Jerusalem, we can't assume that the Holy Spirit meant for him to go to Jerusalem at the time that he did; in fact, the many warnings he received would indicate otherwise. God's timing is always best, & it seems obvious God wanted him to wait for a more opportune time. God wasn't trying to send Paul to his doom; how would Paul's death be profit? As long as he was alive, he could carry the gospel to more people. The only one that wanted Paul dead was Satan.
O19393 2 years ago
How would Paul's death be of profit? With him being persecuted (and eventually killed), the Lord worked it out where we new have many of his epistles which ended up giving us many books in the new testament. Whatever the Enemy does God is two steps ahead of him.
1Cor2two 2 years ago
3 John 2 is a favorite verse of the WOF crowd but it is merely a salutation to have a safe journey. So in your mind and others like you, do you think a Christian should never be persecuted if they are doing God's will?
1Cor2two 2 years ago
Jesus said that whoever leaves possessions, family, etc. for His sake "shall receive an hundredfold NOW IN THIS TIME: houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions.. " With persecutions? Yes, in this world we can expect persecution, but He continues "In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." Christians forget the second part of that verse & never exercise their right to overcome persecution thru Jesus.
O19393 2 years ago

Short answer: Yes.
O19393 2 years ago
To all those troglodytes that like to sneer at the 'prosperity gospel' & think it's promoting a life of ease & excess... try it. Whoever said it's easy to walk by faith has never done it. It's harder to exercise faith & authority than it is to sit back & blame everything on God's 'unknowable will.' Put your faith to work for you! Get out on the water! Change the world! Be like Jesus, not like Job!
O19393 2 years ago
the only ones living a life of ease and excess are the WOLVES who are on the television airwaves that gullible people send their money too! And no I'm not sitting back blaming people. I'm out working but I realize that God is Sovereign and HE does allows his servants to go through hardships just like he did with Job and countless other righteous men.
hermanogflores 2 years ago
Christians love to compare themselves to Job, quoting his famous "the Lord giveth & taketh away, though He slay me yet will I trust Him." But what's God say? After Job's pity party, his friends "ceased to answer Job, b/c he was righteous in his own eyes".. Job "justified himself rather than God." Elihu says "I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God's behalf..Far be it from God, that he should do wickedness..Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom."
O19393 2 years ago
Read Job ch. 42: 7 After the LORD had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has. 8 So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has."
1Cor2two 2 years ago
God was angry w/Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar; not Elihu, who spoke on His behalf. When He said Job had spoken rightly of Him, it was in reference to 42:1-6, when Job repented of self-righteousness. The 3 men God was angry with had been exacerbating the situation by telling Job what he wanted to hear instead of telling him the truth, like Elihu.
O19393 2 years ago
Elihu's theology was close to the Truth but he was still wrong concerning Job. Job responded correctly to his initial tests. Look at Job 1:20-22 and Job 2:10. In both instances he attributed his affliction to God's Sovereignty. After both instances the Scripture says "in all this, Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong" or "sin with is lips".
1Cor2two 2 years ago
Elihu's rebuttal came a full 30 chapters later, & was the final word on the situation other than that which was spoken by God Himself. God doesn't test or tempt us w/evil things [Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man. Js.1:13] Death & destruction are evil things, & we know that the thief comes only to steal, kill & destroy[John10:10]. If God 'sovereignly' tormented us, that'd just make Him a sadist.
O19393 2 years ago
God does not entice us to sin but he does allow the enemy to (read Job ch. 1. ) God does test us. Read Hebrews 11:17 "By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up his only son". God does Sovereignly allow temptations in our life but he ALWAYS makes a way of escape (1 cor 10:13). The testings come to refine us. Many times the afflictions are used to draw us closer to Him and/or to be a testimony for Him.
1Cor2two 2 years ago
just because somebody (Job) does something right ONE time. Doesn't mean they're right all of the time. I agree with 019393. you are only quoting part of the chapter, read it as a whole. 019393 will prove to be right. why did you hide their comments?
yamnema 2 years ago
no one hid any comments. Regarding Job, the point is that God allows adversity in our lives because He is Sovereign. I've known good Christian people who have suffered sickness or tragedy. Like job's friends, the Word of Faith people teach that it is because of our sin or lack of faith that we are not healed. That is wrong.
1Cor2two 2 years ago
just because "good Christian people" suffer sickness and other tragedies, doesn't mean that that is God's will. God's works with the faith of His people.
yamnema 2 years ago
You may not believe it but sick people ARE used to bring glory to Him. Look at Joni Erikson Tada. THere are countless other examples of Christians who are born handicapped or were injured along the way and now live for Him and share the gospel, winning souls for him.

O19393 2 years ago
What's a better witness of God's power & love: a christian who lives a life of heartache & misery, or a christian who overcomes the troubles of this world by the name & blood of Jesus? It doesn't take any talent to get sick, but it gets people's attention when someone is healed. If sickness brings God glory, then you shouldn't ever take any medicine or try to get better, b/c you're stealing glory from God.
O19393 2 years ago
In both situations God can be glorified. I person who lives a life of affliction can bring glory to Him because in the midst of the storm they have peace knowing Whose Hands they are in. They are surrendered to what He wants. They have that peace the Apostle Paul speaks of; the peace that surpasses all understanding.
1Cor2two 2 years ago
You say it doesn't take any "talent" but it does take Faith and Trust to simply entrust your life into the Hands of Your Maker. Look at Stephens death in front of Saul. You don't think that impacted Paul's life? if you have time go to my church's website and listen to the message called "Living Your Life for God's Good". It's re: Rms 8:28 which is often used as a christian good luck charm. The correct transation of that verse says God works everything out for HIS good.
1Cor2two 2 years ago

1Cor2two 2 years ago
1Cor2two - would you want to be misunderstood because your words were being taken out of context? However, if YOU are convinced that God brings poverty and death I will not argue with you. BUT my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ said that He came so that I may have LIFE and have it more abundantly. Now, you guess who I will absolutely believe. His is Jesus the Christ. Satan has you confused and he is a liar from the beginning.

We are saved for good works not by good works.

So, Jesus was rich, but our focus shouldnt be on money it should be on the Lord!
niceguy33 2 years ago
The scriptures present Jesus as average in appearance and prominence. Not only did He not attract from his outward appearance but he also lowly in His dress and demeanor. Isaiah describes a man we wouldnt recognize as important if we saw Him on the street. The fact that Judas had to identify him for the arresting party shows us that he looked similar to the other regular Jewish men of his time.
calvinistgirl 2 years ago
There was no outward attraction by appearance or status that they should desire Him, he did not dress in the finest clothes. None of his disciples followed Him because of any promise of earthly prosperity as he was asking them to leave all. He did not tell them to do something that He Himself did not do.

He wasn't that rich. He was a carpenter first and then travelled around. His disciples could afford food and water.
You can't take treasures of this Earth with you when you die.
By the way, I give 4 stars!

20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

All of this came from between 2,000 -1,00 B.C.
appitude000 3 years ago
i looked up Horus in an Encyclopedia and to say the story was ripped off is a stretch.

TheAviator365 3 years ago
Just because they are rich, they sin? You can't judge a person by his wealth!
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Solomon and many others were all rich, but they served God. In fact, God blessed them with that much wealth!
AlephShinResh 2 years ago 2
did you listen to the message? That isn't even implied (what you wrote).
1Cor2two 2 years ago
The Bible doesn't say no rich man will enter his kingdom but Jesus does say in Matt 19:23 I tell you the truth it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
evewale 2 years ago
How about looking at the context? You know, in the world today, if you had access to post this message on a computer, then you are a rich man...are you worried...I'm not. i know that Jesus was making a point that it is impossible for a man to make it into Heaven, BUT... God does the impossible! He has made a way for us. Now how about everybody who feels its there right to judge just shut up, and listen to the words of Christ.
zoltach 2 years ago
how about the context of 1 Timothy ch. 6?
1Cor2two 2 years ago
Matt 19:23 "Rich man" is a reference to he who TRUST in his riches instead of He who gives the power to gain wealth.

So we are to keep this in prospective.

Great preaching!

It is sad that prosperity preachers (especially TBN) use their T.V. mediums for the financial benefit of their "ministry," Instead of using their T.V. time to teach biblical truth concerning the greatest message of all: The Gospel...How men can be justified through the atoning blood of Jesus...such an essential message in Christianity!
justifiedbychrist 3 years ago 3
There are greedy believers and non-believers of the Christ and both will be judge by the Almighty Himself.
An important note to remember is that JESUS the Christ is not greedy!!!

6gording6 3 years ago
Yes. I think the NT quotes Jesus as saying "give to the least of these" meaning the poor, orphans, widows--not greedy con artists passing themselves off as preachers.
The majority of preachers on TV aren't even ordained.

Keep up the good work!

There is a difference between attacking other preachers for no reason and attacking them for preaching a FALSE DOCTRINE known as the Prosperity Gospel. This is exactly what he is doing! He's exposing these pulpit pimps who need to be attacked!
spongebob3218 3 years ago 5
AMEN, it is rare you hear a pastor speak the TRUTH. ALL these false evangelist r going to fall down on their knees and BEG for MERCY. NO pastor s/b RICH for preaching the gospel
they s/b be comfortable not RICH. JESUS was not RICH in this world & he GAVE WAY MORE then all of them put together. ABBA said your riches are in the KINGDOM of HEAVEN (providing you make it) not on earth.
DeniseLoveJESUS 3 years ago
I don't think it was any prophets intention to urge us to let those in the pulpit rob poor people. Don't be afraid to oust these pulpit pimps, and that's what they are. The tactics they use to get donations are sinful. They are never content. They always want more and that would be great if they did not promise renewal of health and prosperity for the donors. Lots of people feel the way you do Dwoodsholta, that accounts for many elderly in food lines, supporting crooks' life styles.
GSharon710 3 years ago 2
Preachers like these inspire the wrong feelings and create further division in the body of christ. The devil know that a house divided will not stand. You don't have to agree with every message, but instead of spending so much energy coming against it, use it to witness to the lost and save those who have never even heard the good news.
One day my brothers and sisters every knee shall bow and every tounge shall confess that Jesus is Lord, and then shall we know if what was spoken is true.
Dwoodsholla 3 years ago
dwoodsholla, there NEEDS to be division against these false brethren. You can't stand united with them can you? That's the alternative. Didn't the apostle paul call out by name those who were false teachers?
1Cor2two 3 years ago
We must remember satin is out to destroy the plans of God. God desires that no one should perish on earth and in order to reach the lost across the world, there is no way we can do it without money. satin attempts to control the wealth of this world in order to establish his kingdom, so it should come as no surprise that Pastors who preach prosperity would be attacked for what they preach on the Kingdom of God.
Lack of revelation it what causes strife amongst the brethen not bank account
Dwoodsholla 3 years ago

Dwoodsholla 3 years ago
I don't think you have watched the videos because you are not getting it. The prosperity pimps live in affluence and use the money given to buy mansions and rolls royces and buy and fly in their own private jets. They buy 10K dollar dogs, etc. Please do some research for yourself.
1Cor2two 3 years ago
Its a good thing people who despise prosperity weren't alive during solomons days, I could only imagine.... One day we as the Body of Christ will stop debating on who should have money and who shouldn't and focus on who needs salavation. Our fight is not with flesh and blood, so let;s get off the attack of people and focus on what's truly at stake here.
Let God be the Judge and EVERY MAN BE A LIE

Away from me, you evildoers!'"

No way will God punish his children when so called mininsters are using Him to enrich themselves for spreading the GOspel. Perhaps the old lady I saw in a food line was your Granny. Gdsswd, please review "jan crouch wants your grocery money." THen tell us who needs to shut their mouths. After you review it, we posters will give you bus money to go to Jan personally and do what you told us to do.Bet you leave it to God. We will continue to oust tv crooks, now who should close their mouths?

Jesus taught against these folks who feel like it's their job to be watchdogs in the body of christ. When you try to pull up the tares you pull up some wheat also. I feel sorry for this preacher. When he gets to heaven he will see many ministers he ridiculed standing ahead of him in line. There is a process of correcting apostate behavior in the Bible and the first step is to go to them personlly. If you cant do that, keep your mouth closed and leave it up to God. I promise he can handle it.
