Aw! I wish I could go back in time, those cars are a lot of fun to build and drive but are getting pretty hard to find now. Laws have changed a lot too, can't just do what you want with a car and still have it "legal" . Great song and vid.
@mudpuppy318 Here in Southern California, I've got a friend who's been going around with no fenders, no bed, no bumper on the back, just tail lights and a license plate for a good while now. Watching his driveshaft is fun, the tires throw water everywhere and the gas tank is hanging off the end..
@MrDaffyduck80 If you do a You Tube search you'll also find a different version of this song by The Surfaris. I don't know which band did it first but I think the Hondells' version is a little better.
ty for the clip, its so sad that technology wasn't better back then, the poor people in this vid all look as though they are related to frankenstein with the big sloping foreheads. but hey its all good to me, this is one of my fave songs from when i was a kid.

Cool! My dad's Richard Burns, he's the one who's singing. I've never seen this before, thanks for posting it!

Well done. Hadn't heard this before - It didn't get air play in Australia in the 60's. That was our loss!!

Looks like the Frankenstein kids brought their mom along too! You can see where Henry Winkler got his inspiration from.
