  • GAHHHHHHH!!! ALL i want to do is show SYMPHOny 12 of amadeuS Part 1 with band --not strings-- to my family so they can see it!!! Man!

  • @ilkinond Out of interest....if you really are as upper class (and very ignorant with it!) as you claim, then why are you here on YouTube? Surely the last thing you'd want to do is 'slum it with the grimy classes'?

  • You can hear echoes of the G mnor symphony.

  • Mozarta obozavam, ali zna se ko je otac gudackih kvarteta,tj kvinteta

  • @SantiSerge , Hey =] Wow 1st Viola! ;) That shares a lot of the melody with the 1st Violin. Hehehe...I hope its getting better for you now! Im sure you'll get your technique back in no time :) I just started learning the viola 2 and a half years ago, so I can't say much about my techinique either XD >.< All the best!

  • la energia en este movimiento es absoluta,, solo posible en un genio. vini 76

  • WOW! These guys are AMAZING! *beautiful*

Im playing the Second Viola (the guy next to the cello) in the same quintet, but I totally suck at counting.. XD

  • @meluiz18 - Hey there! Let's play together! - I barely played the 1st Viola of this quartet with some other guys like 6 years ago, left the viola forgeting all my technique for about 4 years and then practicing again XD (BTW This movement became harder than ever!!) >_<

  • This video is a priceless treasure! I didn't even know it existed. The music is some of the finest that Mozart ever composed and the performance is fantastic. Thank you for posting. Greetings from New York.

  • Does anyone know why this quintet is sometimes called Quintet No. 4, and other times Quintet No. 3?

  • @stevehartsviola Some Hungarians and Czechs have the tendency to take K516 as no.4 because of the numerical sequence of Kochel numbers, but chronologically it should be no.3.

K515, K516 were composed in April and May, 1787.

K406 is really K516b and it was an arrangement of wind octet K388 by Mozart at the end of 1788.

As you might know, there are many confusions in Kochel's catalogue numbers.

  • @stevehartsviola classical hooligans.

  • @ilkinond I hope you are being sarcastic and are not as dumb as you sound. Kind of ironic too given that Mozart was hardly "upper class" himself...

  • @Statarb1 Not in the least bit. Artistic tastes are one of the great barometers of the quality of one's breeding. Can you imagine the grimy classes appreciating Mozart? Ha!

  • @ilkinond "For Venezuela's Poor, Music Opens Doors" look this article up on the net.

I hope this answers your question. It is not an isolated case. Artistic taste could be said to be a barometer of the quality of one's cultural breeding but even though cultural breeding has a very close relation with one's economical situation, it doesn't take from the poor the ability to appreciate and create art if they are given the opportunity.

  • @ilkinond Grimy Classes?

  • @ilkinond Well if being 'grimy' makes me different to a bigot like you, then I'll gladly accept the epithet!

  • @ilkinond I am late to this fancy dress party, I am afraid. I grew up with little money in a small town that nonetheless supported the fine arts. I grew up with little money, yet my mother somehow scraped together the funds to buy me a great violin; to drive me to concerts; to buy me the recordings I desired; and to eventually send me to the conservatory of my choice.

Taste is a matter of respect, passion, knowledge, and artistic inclination. You seem to have none of these characteristics.

  • that´s absolutely amazing!!! we´re also playing that with our quintet.

the energy behind this piece is just incredible!!

  • amazing! we could all learn from these guys. the real thing

  • legendary Amadeus. what makes me always moved from Amadeus is the sincereness. There music makes my tears pour out.

  • beautiful!

  • wow! classic! easily one of the best recordings i've heard of this

  • This is really cool. I would like very much like to hear the preceding Quintet, KV 515 in C. I don't see it anywhere on YouTube. Do you know of it?

  • A historic recording by the great Amadeus Quartet.

  • Who knows better to play Mozart (Haydn,Beethoven, Brahms,... etc)....? Nobody This is beyond perfection.

  • This has made my week-thanks!

  • I am speechless...Please post more videos with Amadeus Quartet - My favourite quartet of all time.

  • @AndreiViolinist I think then you have never heard the "Quartetto Italiano"....they are a hundred times more compact and they play in a much more modern style!
