i dont get it... i have a powerkite.. used it once. the kite pulls you into the air and i got told to let go if i go too high and the kite will come back down to the ground. but if your in the air and you let go your just going to drop and break fyour legs or die

Under extreme tension lines can lock out pulling the tethered flyer into the ground instantly! Tethered flying kills people every year with kites and paragliders so its not recomended. One of our customers died a really "nasty death" a few years ago tethered to a 5m kite.

I'm a paragliding instructor and kite boarder also...you are putting to much tension in the lines by pulling if only one brakes you are gone man... everything has a limit but some people think they know more and are more extreme..... i do tow-in in paragliding but it has 102 lines not 4.... good luck!

@polloramia As long as each line is sufficient to carry your weight by itself you should be good. Of course, I'd take the extra precaution of getting much heavier lines or even connect 8 of them before I do this. :)

I wouldn't be 115 feet because the rope is not pulled vertically... it's at an angle which makes it probably about 80 feet.

ANy problem up there (line broken, chicken loop accidental release, canopy scratch, larkshead knot hazard ...) youre DEAD in the next second !!!
