Here's something you all should know, Some people can shoot with both feet, just like this guy. no matter how much you train you won't be able to get that left-foot as good as your right, this guy is both footed, he learned how to play with both since he was a kid. the shot he took with his left foot not even Cristiano can take a shot like that. but both footers always have a disadvantage on the field, and it's something pros like me know ;)
You're wrong about many things. First, I favor my right side in everything, kicking included. My right foot has better curve, power and accuracy, and it has a wider range of techniques (close-range chip shots, long crosses, top-spin, knuckleball, etc). Most importantly, I did not receive much training as a kid. I taught myself nearly everything starting at age 13, which is why I'm on YouTube: I'm a better teacher than a player. Practice like this and you'll improve, it's what happened to me.
@hoopsmaster13 There are both footed players that prefer to use different feet for different things, i mean am not entirely right. but it's just my experience and from what i observed, i train hard with my left foot, but i can't seem to get it good enough to be able for finesse shots
may i ask something? you think how many month or years to me to be pro on using left foot? i cannot use my left foot. I feel very difficult while im dribbling the ball, coz all the dribbling skill i use with my right foot. please answer my questions. Thank you.
@hoopsmaster13 so after practicing passing with your left foot on a wall does it make it easier for your shots with your left?? im confused i really need to improve with my left.
@lakashipu Seriously people like you need to stop passing judgement on a whole nation. Yes maybe the majority of people in America don't like the sport, but the few who do enjoy the beautiful game are crazy about it. I am 100 percent American, so go ahead and talk shit. I call "soccer" football so don't even use that. You should actually be glad that some people in America are trying to spread techniques about the sport and get more people involved. Stop being discriminatory.
@joshua36708 then stop using the word, soccer and use Football, which is the true identity of this sport, simple is that and even if you fight back, someone in place of me we'll most probably comment to your'e reply, cause everyone knows youre gonna be wrong with your'e name soccer,
First video I've seen that's actually informative. The point about kicking the ball near the ankle is the most important part, BUT your follow through shouldn't come come up like that unless you're making a longer pass. for short passes it should stay close to the ground. Almost as if you're trying to put backspin on your pass.
I'm right footed but my left foot used to be my preferred and BETTER foot. But now since I haven't had too many chances to use it after about 2 years, it sucks now :( Any way to get it like it used to be or better?
I can make a decent pass with my weak(right) foot in practice, but in a game setting i hesitate to use it because i dont want to mess up. I play left wing so sometimes id like to turn and pass into the center with my right or make a pass from midfield to strikers over the top but i always hesitate doing it. any tips for that?
@number3billianj just do what I showed in the video. If you can practice like that consistently, your right footed kicks will improve in every way, and pretty soon you'll have no problem sending crosses or long passes to strikers. If you want a guide about the technique you should use for long passes, you can watch the video response to this: "How to Take a Goal Kick/LONG Backspin Shot"
@number3billianj yes... try the outside of the left foot... My stronger foot is the right... But Im totally zero with my left... So I practice to use the outside of my right foot... But I used to play like defensive medfielder, and sometimes I had to make diagonal passes... and using the outside of the foot, was a good solution
this is how i learned. you start passing first with your weaker foot. you have to be confident tho, you cant be scared of messing up! and visualize what exactly you want to do in you head, then your body motion will follow. believe me, it works!
Thanks for the upload i was wondering what cleats you'd suggest i'm an outside fullback usually right and I can't decide between the total90 laser III and the tiempo legend IV i currently own a pair of tiempos and enjoy them for the comfort and touch but feel that t90s would help me much better for with clears and crosses.
I have a question. If I hit the ball repeatedly as you said with my left foot ankle with power, how would that curve the ball or add power when striking the ball? I'm a goalkeeper and sometimes I need to clear the area using my left foot but it's hard to to kick it high in the air or even with accuracy and power. If I just do this exercise every day for 20 minutes, will all the aspects of my left leg improve? Thanks. :)
@RoyAhmarov To clarify, this exercise will improve the power and technique in whatever foot you practice with. Its purpose is to make you generally better and more comfortable with your weaker foot. If you practice this way for a bit, even though you only kick with your ankle in the beginning, after a while you will find it easier to attempt the kinds of kicks you do with your strong foot. It's not about learning a new technique, it's about "rediscovering" ;)
