The handwriting is on the wall, problem plagued A380 financial rathole is doomed to cancelation because of 136 Boeing 747-8I sales in 5 months. Your a twit who can't accept reality each Boeing 747-8I sale makes it impossible for A380 to break even. Airbus will cancel it or face certain bankruptcy + Boeing Shall Rule forever!
On the 1ST day of the 2011 Paris Airshow, the Boeing Company announced orders and commitments for 17 747-8 Intercontinentals. The orders bring the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental total backlog to 50 firm aircraft, plus five from a commitment from Air China contingent on Chinese Government approval. It also brings the total 747-8 backlog, including 76 747-8 Freighters, to 126. Every Boeing 747-8I sale is a nail in the A380 Coffin. Hey Muthafuckas your Precious A380 is goin down!
BOACMach2 why do U pester ppl all the time? Your a prentious flippin Fop who yells the Airfags A380 is superior to Boeing. Why R U Jackin every 1 here with ur filthy fucking lies. Your a horrible bacterial infection thats keeps spreading shit all over the place cuz U luv its smell but its U + the Airfags A380 the stinks up the sky + leaks oil from its defective exploding RR Trent engines. U have never been on airplane unless its a PC computer game. Quit jerking off your mouth, its disgusting!
@BOACHWIMP2 What Boeing + General Electric do together is their business + to bad Trent Engines really suck + dangerous to fly but Airfags made its bed with dirtball business tactics. U Airfag lovers tell every 1 how great U R but than U stab in Americans in the back after all we have done for U like defeating the Germans, rebuilding France Germany + Britain after WW2 with the USA Marshal Plan. Than how do U thank the USA by putting a knife in our back so U Brits lose USA business support!
@LottoWinner999 aka Desperate Dan with the brain of a goldfish. Circles round & around spouting the same ignorant s**t across YT network. So lazy he has to cut n paste same comments again & again. Pathetic! Poor GE..got several engines on the "danger" list of the NTSB. 4 uncontained explosions in last 4 years. 6 incidents involving cockpit fires on 757s/767s. And surprise, surprise, latest news, a Southwest Airlines 737 suffers cabin decompression in flight. Boeing are dangerous & to be avoided!
@LottoLoooser666...lol @ History lesson..heard the s**t before a 100 times. Keep it coming Dan, you ignorant imbecile. The more you rant, the more the world gets a good belly laugh. Prat!
BOACHMACH2 Your real name is"Bill no mates" + ur Britains # 1 "Airfags Troll" + a minimum wage earner who lives @ home with your Mum. Its to bad U have not learned ur limited abilities + when it comes to scraping the barrel ur called the dregs. Ur such a Britard U never served in Britain military? I was in the USAF + how come a Britard like U never served? Ur a coward + ur knowledge of aviation would not fill "Tinkerbelles Thimble". Ur such a pretentious retarded Limey Fucking Fop!

@LottoWinner999 Haha ha!..Hello Desperate. Keep em coming Dan...all good material for the forum. Perhaps your next comment can be even more controversial...lol!

@LottoWinner999 You sad sod! When people resort to levelling personal insults at others it's because they incapable of dealing with the facts. There's no way you would ever be USAF in a million years, if for no other reason than your childish mannerisms and ignorance. Forces personnel have a completely different mindset to you. You are just an idiot, a liar, a fraud, and an incompetent.
You have been caught out on several occasions so just head off before you embarrass yourself even further
@BOACMach2 Hey I know more planes about than U can imagine in your tiny little and here's the proof how Airfags failed its Flutter Test,
On Youtube watch "Airbus A380 Flutter Test ". After quick band-aid the they fix and run it again. Dummy Boeings have proven themselves hundreds of time over and U could pay me to fly on A380! U have to realize Airfags in the crunch can't take it!
@BOACMach2 Your so full of lies and jealous to and I would be upset like U if I lived on a tiny shit-stain island called Little Britain on the map of Europe. Your so ungrateful but you know that is the characteristic trait of the Welfare Class that U were born into. Your such an unhappy flaming" Billy No Mates" asshole cuz U do not respect others and its obvious your Dad was a drunk and your Mum a whore to produce a Class A reject like yourself! Hey why did Airfags loser USAF Tanker Contract?
@LottoWinner999 Jees will the two of you just get over it. And whoever started on about ww11 go fuck urself, it ended in the 40s and the wall came down in 89 and germany finally got to live without stupid yanks and britts etc sticking their noses into other peoples lands and countries like always. stop living in the past and enjoy the beautiful engineering that is happening in this fucked up world we live in!!!!
@BOACMach2 There were no A380 sales but the Boeing 747-8I had big sales at Paris Air Show + Hong Kong Airlines cancelled 10 A380s. Boeing sold 17 747-8I'S and China Airlines ordered 5 747-8I'S + this totals 126 Boeing 747-8I'S sale in 5 months VS 241 Airbus A380's that took 5 years. Every B747-8I sale is nail in the Airbus Coffin which must sell 500 A380's to break even. Do the math Boeing strategy is going to force Airbus to cancel A380 cuz it cannot breal even + its doomed to be canceled!!!
@BOACMach2 Did U see that IFLC cancelled 10 A380-800s and 12 A350-900. Plus ILFC ordered 130 Boeing 737-MAX. Airbus is flying low + now Quatar is going to cancel or restructure its orders for the A380-800. Every A380 cancellation is a sale for Boeing + IFLC cancelled 12 A350-900s + this is more business for Boeing. I am tired of telling U the gas guzzling Toulouse Goose will be cancelled. It will not break even + will never make a profit + Airbus has to admit the A380 is a financial flop!
Beautifully filmed. Having flown this bird, I can honestly say it's re-introduced a sense of class and style to the air. Great Achievement from Airbus.
@BOACMach2 Hey my little British Troll here is something Airfags cannot copy + watch it on Utube " General Electric GE90-115B **World Record Breaking** " It seems General Electric engines are not compatible or is they just don't want to do business with Airfags dirty business tactics? The General Electric jet engines are more powerful, save fuel and make no noise like the Trent 900 that likes to explode. Oh I forgot to mention the New GE Engine is more poweful than Airfags or RR makes!
@LottoWinner999 The GE90 is a superb piece of engineering, no doubt about that. Unlike you, I'm prepared to give credit where credit's due. Just remember a couple of things. GE are in partnership with the French engine manufacturer SNECMA (the French company have a 24% stake in the GE90 series) There is also Italian and Japanese involvement too. Now you know why Airbus are happy to use GE engines alongside RR. An example of American engineering benefitting from European technology :-)
@LottoWinner999 2nd point is the deal done behind closed doors between Boeing and GE making GE the sole engine supplier for the 777X. GE gave Boeing $500m to ensure RR were excluded. The guy heading GE at the time the bribe was given is now the CEO of Boeing. So it's no wonder GE are trying to snooker the A350-1000. The fact is this...GE are not going to supply an aircraft that is going to outperform the 777. Just proves Boeing/GE are involved in "dirty tricks".
@BOACMach2 I feel so sorry for Airfags but I told you people are tired of Airfags dirty business tactics and in America we call this circling the wagons but U and Airfags do not understand that term? Well it means tough shit for Airfags because General Electric has the best engines made. However Airfags was stupid to limit themselves to unproven engine and one just one supplier of engine. Tsk,tsk, tsk.
@LottoWinner999 LOL!!...I'm sure SNECMA are very happy. Every time a GE90 is sold, they take 24% of the proceeds. Then there's the Italians to pay and the Japanese. More power to the 777ER & 777LR. The Trent series of engines is based on the long established and successful RB211, but I wouldn't expect you to know that. Acting dumb really comes easily to you doesn't it!
@LottoWinner999... "after all we have done for U like defeating the Germans, rebuilding France Germany + Britain after WW2 with the USA Marshal Plan. Than how do U thank the USA by putting a knife in our back so U Brits lose USA business support!"
Must be Groundhog Day. I've heard this over and over and over and over...zzzzzzzzzzz.
@BOACMach2 Hey whats makes U think your entitled to by General Electric engines after Boeing + General Electric worked together and spent a billion dollars to develop abd build the most advanced Jet Engine in the world? We don't owe U nothing in fact you us your freedom. If we sold you engine you just steal steal the design and call it Airfags and by the way Boeing has exclsuive orders for new planes and many carriers want to upgrade to the new engine for fuel saving. To bad for Muthafucka!
@BOACMach2 I have seen the A350 design and your years behind just building one but its amazing how you stole the Boeing 787 design and put on the A350 an looks exactly like the Boeing 787. U Airfaggers are copy cats and thieves and this just one of the ways to stop Airfags thieving of Boeing-GE research and development.
@LottoWinner999 stealing designs? Well I guess its no different from the 767 being a copy of the A300 and the 777 being a copy of the A330. One thing's for sure, the A350 will not be 3 years late with the manufacturer having to pay $millions in compensation to the airlines. Boeing are an embarrassment to the Industry right now.
Bernstein Research: Airbus A350 first delivery likely delayed to ...Aug 23, 2013 ... Bernstein Research forecast that A350 deliveries will slip into 2014 and that Airbus will deliver only eight of the next-generation aircraft ...
@LottoWinner999 ha ha ha!!...you numpty! March 2007?...yeah that's really up to date isn't it. I wouldn't say a 6month delay was anything like the 3 year 7late7. Is this the best you can do....talk about scraping the barrel..lol!
@BOACMach2 I have seen the A350 design and your years behind just building one but its amazing how you stole the Boeing 787 design and put on the A350 and looks exactly like the Boeing 787. U Airfaggers are copy cats and thieves and this just one of the ways to stop Airfags thieving of Boeing-GE research and development.
@sourjerer Did U know only 13 A380S flying + theres a rumbling Trent 900 RR Engine has serious problems because Airbus begged General Electric to build a new engine for A-350 and GE refused to do business with them. Boeing has sold a whopping 860 Dreamliners despite Airbus dirty business tacts. In fact just Google, "Airbus Really Dirty Business Tactics" were Airbus threatened to cut off British jobs if they don't get 400 Billion from Britain for the A-350 + AB is in the Red for 3RD quarter..
@LottoWinner999 You're talking a heap of crap as usual. Pretty much everything you say is nonsense. To save everyone the trouble, this saddo is a diehard Boeing supporter who can't accept Airbus are now the world's premier manufacturer in terms of overall sales of aircraft. I have wasted several days proving this person wrong on pretty much every front. By the way he does a great line in how America saved Europe's asses in WW1 & WW2...LOL!
Lets get one thing straight here; the 747 is a legacy. It has been around for so long and is a favourite with many airlines flying thousands of miles everyday.
The A380 is the new kid on the block and has only been released with a few airlines.
Yes, the A380 is newer, more technologically advanced, and probably more econmical.
But lets just remember that until the A380 is used as widely as the 747 then, and only then, we will be able to say which is better!
I know :)... my point was, was that seeing as it is a new aircraft and only a few airlines operate the A380, will it be as popular as the 747-400. Probably so if not more. We just need to wait and see for the next couple of years whether airlines take to the A380 as much as they did to the 747-400 :)
@whitireia I hope it happens, Airbus said that it would be so time before we see an A380-800F or A380-900. If the A380-900 happen, I what to be one of the first passengers on her!
@Party931southFl IT IS ur dad pulls out his dentures and gave every lil boy fire head...IT IS what i make it to be DA OR DUH...fuc u..or fuck you!!! thanks bitch...OR thanks BEEEOCH!!!
This is a perfect display of fly-by-wire technologies.
Most Airbus aircraft use fly-by-wire. Airbus fly by wire has built in limits or flight envelope. The system is designed to protect the aircraft exceeding the flight envelope.
@whitireia Yes and that makes it the perfect plane for Eurotards to fly but what happens when the computer crashes and face it all computers crash and that why Airbus has so many crashes for a young airplane manufacturer.
@LottoWinner999 even Boeing uses Fly by wire on their newer aircraft such as the 777, 747-8 series and the all new 787.
Fly by wire systems are not as complicated as older wire/hydrolic systems of yesterday, hence, less moving parts, much simpler system which means the system is less prone to failure.
All modern military aircraft also use fly-by-wire.
Admit that you just hate Airbus because they produce aircraft as good as if not better than Boeing.
@whitireia You're 100% right there. Airbus leads..Boeing follows (eventually) LottoLoser's not to be taken seriously in any way, shape or form. He just can't accept Boeing are 2nd best to Airbus these days. Comes up with 22carat crap every time to try and prove his point but gets beat every time by anyone with a passing interest in aviation. Apparently he was ex USAF but also RAF at the same time..interesting huh? LottoLoser is a serial liar, nothing more, nothing less.
I think there's not much between the big two, Boeing and Airbus and I'm a fan of both. I should say Im a fan of aviation.
What I'm not a fan of is arrogant/cocky Americans who think the American product is better because it's American, when in fact, each should be judged on it's own merits. I applaud Airbus for pushing the envelope by developing the A380. I also applaud Boeing for it's development of the plastic 787. Both great manufacturers that develop quality products.
@whitireia i think someone has to tell this guy to look in the mirror about being arrogant/cocky bottom line Airbus needs to sale 550 A380's to break even they have sold 195 airbus says they might sale 300 will lose about 3 billion...Boeing 787 need to sell 250 they have sold over 1000 the fastest selling aircraft in history
making billions in profits ..the A380 voted the worlds ugliest plane
@pattaya95 actually Airbus have sold 244 A380s to date.
The A380 will be around for another 20 - 30 years and Airbus will easily sell the break even amount by then. Even if Airbus don't break even it is still a good aircraft and better than it's closest rival the 747-8.
The 787 isn't even in commericial service yet and Boeing have lost quite a bit in penalties to various airlines.
The A350 is likely to sell as many airframes as Boeing has the 787.
@whitireia The Scarebus A380 is d@@med to failure just like your life and I see whiteria is just another fake account used by BOACMacFag2! Boo, Hoo, hoo go fuck whore you lime ridden loser!
@whitireia How come Air New Zealands has one of the largest Boeing Fleets in the world? Air New Zealand knows something others do not know + there are rumors of a huge Airbus Scandal with cheap built airplanes. Air New Zealands knows Boeing is the best because their fleet 98% Boeing. When the B787 is delivers this August Scarbus will lose allot of sales cuz who wants to wait for the Scarebus A350 cheap copy of the B787 when U can it get now. Never forget Airbus is a piece of shit with 2 wings!
@LottoWinner999 Don't worry Lottie, I'm sure Boeing can pull through this difficult time of losing sales year on year to Airbus, Modern airlines want modern fleets so it's no surprise the likes of BA are turning from Boeing to Airbus. Boeing thought they had BA's order "in the bag" for the 747-8I. JAL are barely afloat and can't afford the new 747. The likes of United & Delta probably wont buy it because it doesn't suit their corporate strategy nor schedules. It's all 777ER/787/A350 right now.
@LottoWinner999 Ha ha ha!!..so you think whitireia is another a/c of mine. What a dork!! Poor ol' LottieLoser, aka Desperate Dan, thinks the whole world is coming down around him. You sure are getting paranoid Lottie. So many people on here trash your pathetic Boeing propaganda & arguments. It's just hilarious watching you devote all your waking hours to trolling all AB videos in a vain attempt to make your point.
Your desperation is clear the moment you start being abusive to people. Loser!
@whitireia Sorry but the 787 with Fuel Efficient Nex Gen engines will be deilvered to ANA in August + once there in service sales for A350 will plummet to zero cuz Scarebus cannot deliver the A350 till 2015 + they only have one engine supplier and thats gas guzzlin defective Rolls Royce exploding Trent 1000 Engines, By the way when airline cannot make the break even point on its biggest plane its doomed to economic failure. Just wait till Scarebus A380's start to crash cuz the plane is not safe!
@LottoWinner999... "Sorry but the 787 with Fuel Efficient Nex Gen engines will be deilvered to ANA in August"
Your research has failed you yet again Lottie. ANA's 787s come with Trent 1000s, not GE engines..LOL!! In addition, Air New Zealand's 787s will also be using Trent 1000s as will LANs 787. Aeromexico and Air India will be using GE engines.
Funniest of all, however, is the fact that Delta Airlines have chosen the Trent1000, not the GE (American) engine. They appreciate RR quality.
@BOACMach2 fuck yourslef men, GE Nx are better than RR the fact is that GE is delayed with the manufacture of the GE Nx and RR not, I'm not saying that it won't be a bad engine, but RR has a nice record of accidents such as Qantas A380 and British B777 so guys what they think??
@octaviorisso97 When you go passing comments, you really ought to research first. The "uncontained" explosion of the Trent 900 aboard QF32 is the only serious incident involving the RR Trent series of engines going back 15+ years. Within the past 6 years, there have been FOUR uncontained explosions or serious incidents in the air involving GE engines. notably the GE CF6-45/50 & the GE CF6-80E. I suggest you go and look at the NTSB's database regarding reports issued on these engines
@whitireia How come New Zealand Airlines busy all Boeing Airliners? ANZ loves Boeing 787 Dreamliners! +2011 Air New Zealand will have at 12 787–9’s in the fleet ANZ Buys Four More Boeing Dreamliners. ANZ said it has bought 4 extra Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft to service its international routes. ANZ bought 787 + 747-8 simulators + has a huge Boeing fleet of 747s, 737s, 767s's & four new Boeing 777-300 long-haul airplanes.ANZ will order new 747-8 International!
@BOACMach2 Airbus has already loss 3 billion with the A380 while Boeing 787 has sold over 1000 making billions in profit ..another British/Euro failure the Concorde that debacle lost 5 billion you see you have to sell the planes to make money they tried to give these planes away (Concorde) and no airline wanted them way to expensive to operate ..A380 and Concorde the 2 biggest (money wise) aviation failures in history..yeah your really giving it to America
@pattaya95 You seem to have a problem with your maths. 787 orders currently stand at 843, not the 1000+ you suggest. In addition, airframes sold between 2004-2006 were heavily discounted, some were sold at $65m. As a result of outsourcing, re-designs, cost overruns and general delays (including rebates to airlines for late delivery) Boeing will be lucky to make a profit on the 843 orders they have. The break even for the A380 is 480-490 units but given Emirates plan for a fleet of 120 A380s...
@BOACMach2 Canada and Brtian refusal to grant new landing rights to Emirates and Etihad spiralled into a diplomatic row between the three countries last year. In Germany, national carrier Lufthansa has lobbied its government to deny Emirate’s additional landing slots at Berlin’s new airport, while British Airways has also criticized the heavily Dubai carrier’s expansion plans will hurt British, Canadian the German economy. The Arabs might have big plans however this will cost European Jobs.
@pattaya95 ...and other middle eastern airlines such as Etihad and Qatar plan to buy 50-60 A380s to remain competitive with Emirates. China and the Far East markets are also expected to buy 80-100 models to retain market share whilst making maximum use of limited slot availability at congested airports. This is particularly the case in Japan. The project is expected to make a profit in the next 8-10 years.
Airbus have outsold Boeing since 2003 and will continue to do so. Live with it.
@whitireia But Boeing invented fly by wire for its military aircraft and Scarebus copied it as usual. I hate Airbus because its a piece of shit with two wings no were near of half as good as Boeing!
@whitireia thou shit runneth over + from your big fucking mouth! Your the "Airfags Fairy" + when it comes to rantin your worse than Leghorn Foghorn. Your so crazy U attached a Dildo to the nose of your model A380 so U can butt fuck yourself why U insult every 1 on this forum with your "Airbus-Mania" + I'll bet your a Bi-Polar nut job + U have stopped taking your medications. Do the world a favor take the medicine B4 they arrest U "For Crimes Against Nature". My God your offensive asshole!
@LottoWinner999 Airbus aircraft have had half as many crashes as Boeing 747s, and the 747 has had far far far far less than the 707s, 727s, and 737s put together. Not to mention more crashes in the last few years.
@sthill1993 are you really that stupid gee do you think thats because every time an airbus takes off somewhere in the world 300 Boeing aircraft are taking off the same time 300 to 1 ratio do the math Einstein
@pattaya95 I'm not the one who gets a ratio of 300:1 out of circa 6000 Airbus Aircraft compared to circa 15000 Boeing. More like 3:5. Also more telling of there have been more Boeing accidents in the last 20 years. Don't criticise my maths if yours is equivalent to that of a two year old.
@whitireia BTW, USA invented fly by wire for its military planes long B4 Airbus knew about it in out Stealth Fighter Aircraft. I am talking about your Airbus computers which have a high failure rate + the fact they are cheaply built. U know why Boeing planes are so much better? Cuz they built for USAF military + apply that research + development for its civilian aircraft. Airbus cut corners + take to many risks while Boeing perfects a techology before they use it + thats why I own Boeing stock.
@CaptainRyan242 well your an idiot then, they had a 787 that landed an parked to let people see the inside. Then it did a flyby with some spitfires and went back to America. Maybe you're in the wrong dimension
@CaptainRyan242 Well to be fair, they did have the 787, it was just gone by the public days. Can't blame Boeing, they have a test schedule to run, but FAB never claimed the 787 would be there for the public open days.
anyone who says the 747 is a better aircraft is just a brain-washed american robot, I'm american myself and can't seem to accept the fact that a boeing 747 is better than this beast. I think boeing 747 is a great aircraft, yet the a380 is bigger, newer, and much more advanced technology, (atleast from what pilots have told me at airports)
OK, um wow that thing is wayyy to big to be moving like that. i am honestly amazed at this. no joke. The guy flying that thing must be coressing those controls to the absolute maximum. i have flown 747 in flight sim, no way it would let me do those turns....
@donnyab Yep, know what you mean - point I was making was that many planes at Farnboro (Eurofighter, Raptor) are specifically designed to cause death and destruction, any deaths caused by the A380 would most probably be accidental (hijackers slamming them into buildings excepted)
On the A380, reverse thrust only works on the inboard engines.
It is to prevent foreign object damage as the outboard engines overhang the runways at most airports.... as you can see here from the take off jet blast!!!
What a beauty! My ex-brother in law had a very very very minor part in working on it.... so cool to see it "for real". What a landing! *clapping* Thanks for the post.
@LottoWinner999
for the kids fans of Airbus and boeing. Get your facts straight and check out wikipedia... Cheers.
Orders: Boeing (1957) and Airbus (1972) until 31st December, 2011
Check out the A320 orders vs B737.... you will be amazed... Who is winning the game boys

And surprise, surprise, latest news, a Southwest Airlines 737 suffers cabin decompression in flight. Boeing are dangerous & to be avoided!

LottoWinner999 11 months ago
@LottoWinner999 The GE90 is a superb piece of engineering, no doubt about that. Unlike you, I'm prepared to give credit where credit's due. Just remember a couple of things. GE are in partnership with the French engine manufacturer SNECMA (the French company have a 24% stake in the GE90 series) There is also Italian and Japanese involvement too. Now you know why Airbus are happy to use GE engines alongside RR. An example of American engineering benefitting from European technology :-)
BOACMach2 11 months ago
@LottoWinner999 2nd point is the deal done behind closed doors between Boeing and GE making GE the sole engine supplier for the 777X. GE gave Boeing $500m to ensure RR were excluded. The guy heading GE at the time the bribe was given is now the CEO of Boeing. So it's no wonder GE are trying to snooker the A350-1000. The fact is this...GE are not going to supply an aircraft that is going to outperform the 777. Just proves Boeing/GE are involved in "dirty tricks".
BOACMach2 11 months ago
@BOACMach2 I feel so sorry for Airfags but I told you people are tired of Airfags dirty business tactics and in America we call this circling the wagons but U and Airfags do not understand that term? Well it means tough shit for Airfags because General Electric has the best engines made. However Airfags was stupid to limit themselves to unproven engine and one just one supplier of engine. Tsk,tsk, tsk.
LottoWinner999 11 months ago
@LottoWinner999 LOL!!...I'm sure SNECMA are very happy. Every time a GE90 is sold, they take 24% of the proceeds. Then there's the Italians to pay and the Japanese. More power to the 777ER & 777LR. The Trent series of engines is based on the long established and successful RB211, but I wouldn't expect you to know that. Acting dumb really comes easily to you doesn't it!

We don't owe U nothing in fact you us your freedom. LottoWinner999 11 months ago

Thanks

This is a perfect display of fly-by-wire technologies.
Most Airbus aircraft use fly-by-wire. Airbus fly by wire has built in limits or flight envelope. The system is designed to protect the aircraft exceeding the flight envelope.
whitireia 1 year ago
@whitireia Yes and that makes it the perfect plane for Eurotards to fly but what happens when the computer crashes and face it all computers crash and that why Airbus has so many crashes for a young airplane manufacturer.
LottoWinner999 10 months ago
@LottoWinner999 even Boeing uses Fly by wire on their newer aircraft such as the 777, 747-8 series and the all new 787.
Fly by wire systems are not as complicated as older wire/hydrolic systems of yesterday, hence, less moving parts, much simpler system which means the system is less prone to failure.
All modern military aircraft also use fly-by-wire.
Admit that you just hate Airbus because they produce aircraft as good as if not better than Boeing.

BOACMach2 10 months ago
I think there's not much between the big two, Boeing and Airbus and I'm a fan of both. I should say Im a fan of aviation.
What I'm not a fan of is arrogant/cocky Americans who think the American product is better because it's American, when in fact, each should be judged on it's own merits. I applaud Airbus for pushing the envelope by developing the A380. I also applaud Boeing for it's development of the plastic 787. Both great manufacturers that develop quality products.
whitireia 10 months ago
@whitireia i think someone has to tell this guy to look in the mirror about being arrogant/cocky bottom line Airbus needs to sale 550 A380's to break even they have sold 195 airbus says they might sale 300 will lose about 3 billion...Boeing 787 need to sell 250 they have sold over 1000 the fastest selling aircraft in history
making billions in profits ..the A380 voted the worlds ugliest plane
pattaya95 9 months ago
@pattaya95 actually Airbus have sold 244 A380s to date.
The A380 will be around for another 20 - 30 years and Airbus will easily sell the break even amount by then. Even if Airbus don't break even it is still a good aircraft and better than it's closest rival the 747-8.
The 787 isn't even in commericial service yet and Boeing have lost quite a bit in penalties to various airlines.
The A350 is likely to sell as many airframes as Boeing has the 787.

LottoWinner999 7 months ago
@LottoWinner999 Don't worry Lottie, I'm sure Boeing can pull through this difficult time of losing sales year on year to Airbus, Modern airlines want modern fleets so it's no surprise the likes of BA are turning from Boeing to Airbus. Boeing thought they had BA's order "in the bag" for the 747-8I. JAL are barely afloat and can't afford the new 747. The likes of United & Delta probably wont buy it because it doesn't suit their corporate strategy nor schedules. It's all 777ER/787/A350 right now.

LottoWinner999 7 months ago
@LottoWinner999... "Sorry but the 787 with Fuel Efficient Nex Gen engines will be deilvered to ANA in August"
Your research has failed you yet again Lottie. ANA's 787s come with Trent 1000s, not GE engines..LOL!! In addition, Air New Zealand's 787s will also be using Trent 1000s as will LANs 787. Aeromexico and Air India will be using GE engines.
Funniest of all, however, is the fact that Delta Airlines have chosen the Trent1000, not the GE (American) engine. They appreciate RR quality.
BOACMach2 7 months ago
@BOACMach2 fuck yourslef men, GE Nx are better than RR the fact is that GE is delayed with the manufacture of the GE Nx and RR not, I'm not saying that it won't be a bad engine, but RR has a nice record of accidents such as Qantas A380 and British B777 so guys what they think??
octaviorisso97 6 months ago
@octaviorisso97 When you go passing comments, you really ought to research first. The "uncontained" explosion of the Trent 900 aboard QF32 is the only serious incident involving the RR Trent series of engines going back 15+ years. Within the past 6 years, there have been FOUR uncontained explosions or serious incidents in the air involving GE engines. notably the GE CF6-45/50 & the GE CF6-80E. I suggest you go and look at the NTSB's database regarding reports issued on these engines

@BOACMach2 Airbus has already loss 3 billion with the A380 while Boeing 787 has sold over 1000 making billions in profit ..another British/Euro failure the Concorde that debacle lost 5 billion you see you have to sell the planes to make money they tried to give these planes away (Concorde) and no airline wanted them way to expensive to operate ..A380 and Concorde the 2 biggest (money wise) aviation failures in history..yeah your really giving it to America
pattaya95 9 months ago
@pattaya95 You seem to have a problem with your maths. 787 orders currently stand at 843, not the 1000+ you suggest. In addition, airframes sold between 2004-2006 were heavily discounted, some were sold at $65m. As a result of outsourcing, re-designs, cost overruns and general delays (including rebates to airlines for late delivery) Boeing will be lucky to make a profit on the 843 orders they have. The break even for the A380 is 480-490 units but given Emirates plan for a fleet of 120 A380s...
BOACMach2 9 months ago
@BOACMach2 Canada and Brtian refusal to grant new landing rights to Emirates and Etihad spiralled into a diplomatic row between the three countries last year. In Germany, national carrier Lufthansa has lobbied its government to deny Emirate’s additional landing slots at Berlin’s new airport, while British Airways has also criticized the heavily Dubai carrier’s expansion plans will hurt British, Canadian the German economy. The Arabs might have big plans however this will cost European Jobs.
LottoWinner999 7 months ago
@pattaya95 ...and other middle eastern airlines such as Etihad and Qatar plan to buy 50-60 A380s to remain competitive with Emirates. China and the Far East markets are also expected to buy 80-100 models to retain market share whilst making maximum use of limited slot availability at congested airports. This is particularly the case in Japan. The project is expected to make a profit in the next 8-10 years.
Airbus have outsold Boeing since 2003 and will continue to do so. Live with it.

@CaptainRyan242 well your an idiot then, they had a 787 that landed an parked to let people see the inside. Then it did a flyby with some spitfires and went back to America. Maybe you're in the wrong dimension
liamp1994 1 year ago
@CaptainRyan242 Well to be fair, they did have the 787, it was just gone by the public days. Can't blame Boeing, they have a test schedule to run, but FAB never claimed the 787 would be there for the public open days.
blueb0g 1 year ago
anyone who says the 747 is a better aircraft is just a brain-washed american robot, I'm american myself and can't seem to accept the fact that a boeing 747 is better than this beast. I think boeing 747 is a great aircraft, yet the a380 is bigger, newer, and much more advanced technology, (atleast from what pilots have told me at airports)

OK, um wow that thing is wayyy to big to be moving like that. i am honestly amazed at this. no joke. The guy flying that thing must be coressing those controls to the absolute maximum. i have flown 747 in flight sim, no way it would let me do those turns....
superfreak19 1 year ago
@superfreak19 empty it out and get rudder pedals.
ajcrw 1 year ago
@superfreak19 no offense, but as realistic as flight sims might be, there not really a comparison on an actual plane are they...

Es una final muy corta, normal que el piloto tenga que meter mucho pedal para colocar al avión en el centro de la pista... un gran piloto!

Esta barbaridad no hay quien la vuele..Observen los psiotones al timon en la toma final para meter el avion en pista

Saw this plane on Saturday, really is an amazing sight, and a nice break seeing a plane not designed to inflict death on people

@trimmytrab
I am almost positive one will crash some day
donnyab 1 year ago
@donnyab Yep, know what you mean - point I was making was that many planes at Farnboro (Eurofighter, Raptor) are specifically designed to cause death and destruction, any deaths caused by the A380 would most probably be accidental (hijackers slamming them into buildings excepted)
trimmytrab 1 year ago
nice camera work she look so graceful in the sky

Good pilot. Only a few A380 planes in service not enough time to see previous problems with the Airbus flybywire.
launchsa 1 year ago
On the A380, reverse thrust only works on the inboard engines.
It is to prevent foreign object damage as the outboard engines overhang the runways at most airports.... as you can see here from the take off jet blast!!!
