  • I bet was a sight to see him on that .50 like in the movies blasting away

  • RIP SFC Smith, also SSG Hollensaid, PFC Meyer, and Sgt Mele

  • he was so brave

  • i seen this one on shootout

  • Why wouldnt a US soldier in war be awarded the Medal of Honor if he threw himself on a grenade wich didn't explode?

    R.I.P Paul!!

  • Have you ever heard of anything doing that?

  • Much respect to Paul Ray Smith. I wouldn't take a damn thing from Bush though, I don't care if it was the MOH or a handshake.

  • he killed like over 50 peeps

  • may paul ray smith rest in peace and may the mujies he smoked rot in hell

  • He was a hero. My God, He is the Man!

  • These are the unsung heroes of war. They ask for nothing, and that's what we give them. We should show greater respect and honor towards our soldiers. We hate war, but that is no excuse to cut apart our soldiers.

  • I'm not even an american, but this video gave me shivers... I also watched the animated demonstration of the battle.. This man is a real hero...man I can't say more I start crying now..

  • hurra...

  • He was just doing his job!! And then he rose above all things human... He fought for his buddies...Killed no one knows how many of the enemy.. and died at his post.We can ask no more.

  • R.i.p

  • Thank you for your dedication and true heroism. God bless the US military. Thank you for our freedom.

  • They give Paris Hilton days if not weeks of attention. Paul Ray Smith only gets one fucking minute.

  • i know sadly the reality they give a fuck about a whore more than a true hero

  • your too fucking right. And its not just paris hilton. all fucking celebrities with their shitty problems. Paul Ray Smith's story (Among others like Shugart's and Gordon's) are that of complete self sacrifice and heroism. They deserve more...Let them rest in peace knowing that there act of bravery has not gone unnoticed.

  • Thanks for those like him:(

  • I dont think enough can ever be said about SFC Smith, but i dont think what is equally as important as what he did during the time of his death was the time and effort he put forth in preparing other soldiers for combat. He took everything seriously and produced great soldiers who really knew thier jobs becuase they served with him.

  • Several U.S. soldiers were immediately wounded. After quickly seeing to his injured troops, Smith climbed back aboard a damaged light-armor vehicle and sprayed the advancing Iraqis with .50-caliber bullets, firing and reloading for an hour and a half until he ran out of ammunition. After the battle, surviving soldiers found Smith shot in the head. He was the only U.S. soldier killed during the bloody skirmish.

  • His comrades, who credit him with saving his unit, say he single-handedly killed 30 to 50 Iraqis./// Thank you Sgt Smith for your service and sacrifice to our beloved nation. Can one man make a difference you taught me the answer is "yes". Rest in peace Noble soldier.
