  • your CORN BALL for those dances

  • @MrHumbleWill I know right! LOL! Hey, I thought you were Mr Humble. U don't sound too humble to me. ;)

  • @MakeItFunkyProds Haha producers can look as silly as they want when the are composing, as they are the essence to all hiphop/rap music. The rappers just help sell the music, honestly.

  • @MrHumbleWill i am humble I had to step out of my character for this one lol your moves are dangerous check out my beats good or bad comments I need the truth thanks :)

  • plus i just notice those are church dances lol!

  • really?

  • like da hat

  • hey man ur making things clear

  • This why I stop using FL.

  • @Hazmat347 Why?

  • @Drumpie

Just upgrade my software to Reason 4-5 and Record 1.5. Just got sick and tired of the sounds in my opinion...

  • @Hazmat347 Are there better sounds in Reason?

  • @Drumpie I think so. I mean I use it all the time. Go to my channel and check out my Remix of Keri Hilson Energy. I have nothing against FL Studio's. Its the sounds they're not as strong enough as Reason.

  • plz BPM ?

  • top!!!

  • lol you a fool for all that.

good job tho keep it up

  • HOLY SHIT looks like you just got out of prison and with that smile it looks like you wanna kill someone for fun! but hey man thats badass lol

  • this dude have dangerous face man :D nice music homie

  • Where is the technique? the sound proccesing, the sidechaining, the fx?

FL isn't just a program where u simply draw piano rolls and place 'em togheter.

there is much more that has to be done on this beat.

  • i appreciate this dude posting this shit but.................i dont need help........NICE STUDIO BRO

  • lmao nice dancing on your chair dude

  • A suit with a baseball cap?

  • HAHAHA... I LIKE THAT.. YO I US FL STUDIOS 7 TOO..

STOP BY MY PAGE AND CHECK THEM OUT.

  • jo man realy good work, i like your studio to!! realy nice! but i have one question? what keyboard do you use?

    thnx al ready

  • @driveinshowbunnik That is the XBoard 61 in this video. I don't use that anymore. I now use an Open Labs NeKo LX-5.

  • yo my manz i wanna switch up the sounds to make a south beat too but i dont got a keyboard. any1 know if i can download more sounds anywhere?????

  • ....beautiful man.....

  • Nice beatz mang, a little muddy but not too much. A 138 in progress lol that's drunk and disorderly,or depending on the area of the nation could be a prowler funny. What synth are you using looks like my e-mu 49? I just got an edirol roland pcr 500,but i don't know crap about it yet.Peace

  • @justaman6972 I was using the XBoard 61 midi controller back then. Now I do everything on my Open Labs NeKo LX-5.

  • very nice but sounds like you would just be using fls stock sounds??

  • @pa16cologne90

No, not at all. I only did that on this video to show that FL Studio comes with nice stock sounds. I have thousands of 3rd party sounds that I use with FL Studio.

  • yo, im feeling that beat, and i like how u got your studio set up . looks legit . im a producer too . im only 17 and i got plenty of instrumentals . you should check them out, go to my website, unodaproducer(dot)com i make new beats everyday .

  • i like the coreography ...Michael is not dead =)) srry...good stuff :D

  • this is dope

  • heyyy how do you loop the drums and stuff man

  • @WhoIsDeyman

I turn on the loop function in FL Studio.

  • yo beats sick bro good shit but my opinion if a rapper is gonna be rappen ova a beat...you dont wanna clutter it up too much yu no wut i mean some of the hottest and sickest beats are very simple im a producer myself and am classicaly trained so its hard for med not to clutter but u gota remember that a beat is usually made for an artist to spit over so with the vocals and all that....the lsitener is gonna be like"what do i lsiten to" but everything else is hot yo good shit

  • You're exactly right. I agree, I put too much in this beat. I kinda got carried away here because I was having so much fun creating in FL. I'm a lot calmer now. ;)

  • word man i feeel ya i dot he smae thing sumtimes i jsut bugg out wit the bets and stuff im classicaly trained musician to so i write some complicated stuff sometimes and its jsut to much but keep goin man neva stop hatiz are just jealous of erythn and ure good at wuchu do an good lookz

  • This isnt really bad... But when you dance at the end, it was a cind of scary for me...;). Why do you need all that stuff? I only have a complete turntable with a pioneer mixer and it just all you need for pro music...

  • u scared me at the start

  • same ;O

    lol

  • Hey man, nice vid!

i have a question, i;m planning to buy a midi-keyboard. which would you recommend, if my budget is around €150?

  • @TomDirven

The Xboard he using is on Guitarcenter used gear for only $59 plus shipping.

  • nigga look like ice tee

  • wow the staring was scary LOL but beat is amazing

  • Request my content

  • dam that snare roll was smooth as shit homie

  • Man Put Me In That Studio I A Have A Least 4 Hits For You

  • Its Funny How people have the beat for sale, but they let U listen and even see how You made the beat. A good producer can easily remake beats exactly or even better. Anyways I'm not gonna remake your beat but its a good one I like your style. I would leave the Voices out, many people use them.

  • @therealrichcory

Thanks. I don't care if they remake my beats. They are all copyrighted. I wish someone would remake my beats and make a million dollars off them. That would be a nice payday for me. :)

  • plus wen we make beats were tryna make the most original sounds possible, if u jack sum1 elses shit, u shudn even call urself a producer

  • Opfah ;D

  • Which snyth do u have?

  • @MTBeatz

I don't have synths anymore. I am 100% software based now.

  • Damn, dat was nice... that beat goes hard.

  • Ok i just like your equipment

but why you dont work with ya mpd or mpc or whaterver that was

  • @sneakerBeatzRekordz

Thanks! I was learning FL Studio at the time. I sold the mpc and now I use an Open Labs NeKo.

  • sweet beat

  • how do i make fl studio 7 sound more professional

  • @ypa706 practice

  • u from new orleans son?

  • @mugziebizzle

Naw. Just spend a lot of time there.

  • Nice work bruh

  • GOOD WOrk VERRY professional, im thinking of ussin FL,did u play the high hats or did u put them with dat piano roll

  • Thanks. I played them on the keyboard.

  • Nice work

Whats the name of the keyboard u use ?

  • bad beat :( man next

  • fl studio is the best sequencer software

    i hate reason

    i hate logic

    i hate pro tools

  • @davidgtco

I used to say that, but fruity has some serious limitations, okay there are workarounds but they're a pain in the ass, and you really need 3rd party plugins to achieve a decent sound. In some aspects FL studio is definitely the best, definately for starters. But as you progress at some point you'll notice these obstacles. But once you have fruity down it's really easy to learn any program.

  • @Drawback172 What limitations exactly? Of course you should be using 3rd party plugins, FL's native stuff is pretty bad. It's all the composer, it's all in the final mixing, how well you know how to compress, eq, and limit properly.

I'm just curious on these limitations you speak of.

  • @Drawback172 You need third party sounds for protools too, idiot. Everyone uses VST plugins and samples that dont come with the DAW they purchase. FL studio isn't any more or less limited then any other DAW on the market. You are a beginner, as you failed to explain why it is "limited". You are just repeating random crap you have heard.

  • Wooot!!.....nice shit

  • I always use the mouse to play a melody cause i have problems playing melodies into flstudio...Dude...How do you set Quantize??? Or do you just play something in,....than use the mouse to correct missed notes?? help a brpotha out will ya?

    Peace Great uploads maaynnnn!!!!

  • Thanks. Set the grid to 1/4 beat and it will automatically quantize your playing to 16th notes. That's usually good enough for most hip hop stuff.

  • NICE BEAT HOMIE!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL

  • sooo fucking Dope !!!!!!!!

  • Do ya thing let hate motivate........keppt it poppin cannon.

  • how much you sell your beats for?

  • Prices are on my myspace page. Check the link in the description.

    5/5

  • Thats dope homie, you got talent.

  • Hey man Great beats.

I use FL studio too and it's a great program.

Although i make more electronica than rap

  • awsome video dude, its because of this why I bought an emu xboard 25, but I just cant get proteus x le to run in fl studio. Do you know what folder destinations you install it in? Or do you know what the problem could be? vista? I just cant figure it out...

  • umm... thats not an xboard

  • its an xboard 61

  • THX's Cause I'm now in the process of making my first album and when I try to record with my yamaha keyboard as a MIDI USB it seems I have a little delay but I have a Firewire connection on my laptop and I was wondering is it better to just use that instead of USB MIDI

  • Naw. Use the usb midi connection with the asio4all driver and you will have zero latency.

  • I see you have a little delay from when you hit the keys i have the same problem with FL studio 8 is better to use firewire or USB I dont know butI luv ur Vid great job

  • There's actually no delay at all. When I made that video, I had it set to the primary sound driver which is why you noticed the slight delay at that time. However, after I made that video, I installed the asio4all driver. No latency (delay) whatsoever now. :)

  • That´s good tutorial how make a down south beat man!

  • oh yeahhhh! saints hat! you live in New Orleans?

  • No, I just bought this hat when I was there. LOL

  • ur awsesome

  • wat tempo

  • Tempo is 88 bpm.

  • omg... so ein spast alter!

  • man u looks like DRE....what ever great beat!~~~LOL

  • Hello! This keyboard is weighted?

    I want one.

  • No, that midi controller is not weighted. It is the E-MU XBoard 61. It is for sale. Wanna buy it?

  • I LOVE THIS SHIT

  • lovin it

  • big up 2 you show them what fl can do

  • its iight

  • This is a good video.

5 stars, i am trying to learn dirty south for over 6 months.

    thanks main.

    also please check my videos

    thanks

  • hey i would want to know what tempo you are using in fl studio???

could you please tell me it wold be great! thanks

and the beat is straight up fire man! nice!!!

  • Thanks bro. The tempo is 88. PEACE!!!

  • Coll but when you do the dirty south snare roll, how do you get them to go so fast with that tempo because i have to make the tempo really high to make then go fast which sounds better.

do you think you could help?

  • Yea, I see a lot of beatmakers doing that. It's totally unnecessary. In most sequencers, you just change the quantize from 16th notes to 32nd notes.

In FL Studio, you have to change the "Time Mul" in the "Chop" tool to chop your notes into 32nd notes. Go experiment with the chop tool and you'll see what I mean.

Or better yet, watch NFX's tutorial on doing snare rolls. That's where I learned it.

  • you dont even have to do that, just put your beat through the piano roll homie

  • drum rolls are nice

  • Not particularly a fan of this genre, but man that beat you made was pretty cool. Nice work.

  • This is very cool. What vst used?

  • Damn That sound like an old mannie fresh beat

  • why do u do ur drums on the keyboard wen u got the mpc

  • Simple answer? Convienience. Anyway, look at my other videos. I use the mpc too.

  • yo hope u can help me out, ive always had trouble with snare rolls i want like da jeezy type rolls and ish

  • This is nice. I like I like

  • Another great video Vince... cheers!

  • hey man, nice job.

i see you got an e-mu x board?

do the knobs and faders work in fl studio for you?

i would like to use them on mine but i dont know why they dont work..

  • Thanks. Yes, the knobs and faders work perfectly with FL Studio for me.

  • Wow, I see that you are doing your thing bro. Dope beat. Holla.

  • Nice showing ;)) I'm too making beats on FL , look at my profil ->

  • i read about that in the help topic index,it still gives me no sound from the metronome, went through the general settings thinking i may just be over looking something but still nothing ,i will just keep playing around with it thx, and keep up the good work

  • just got fl7 how can i hear my metronome

  • Click the metronome icon at the top or press Ctrl+M.

  • i like this beat ........

    can i have this beat.plz

    peace!!!

  • how long did it take u to master FL Studio 7? how much do ur beats usually go for? how much would this one be?

  • It took me about a month to learn and practice everything I personally needed to understand about the program. My beat prices are in my blog on my myspace page. Thanks for your comment.

  • good stuff man.

  • Thanks for sharing your techniques and thanks for the shout out!

  • You're welcome nfx! I truly appreciate you for helping me gain the real knowledge of this powerful software.

  • I will be exporting my final tracks to my daw.

Can we move on passed this subject now? :-)

  • As opposed to Mr. Holly I didn't make a claim, I just shared an experience. There is a difference between every and any program. For better or for worse is highly subjective due to monitoring, acoustics, different ears etc. Don't export to your DAW if you don't feel you need to. Sure we can move on, you can also delete the comments. I shared, I didn't dictate :)

  • I'll leave the comments up. No need to delete them. Thank you for your comments. :-)

  • Thanks dazzelya! If they give me free upgrades for the rest of my life, I would settle for that. LOL!

I won't be talking about FL Studio in my next video because ppl seem to focus more on the tools than the music. I have briefly demonstrated what FL Studio can do in this video so I am done with that subject. I don't like internet debates. They are stupid to me. Time to move on. :-)

  • If you feel like talking about FL, please do so! You made several video's elaborating on the Motif rack so feel free to share your knowledge. Just don't be surprised if people comment regarding what you share :)

I'm a fan of 'don't believe the hype' as I said; however, many people do! Now let's see some more video's! I'm requesting some funk/soul.

  • I do plan on putting up some more videos dazz! Thanks for your request and stay tuned! :-)

  • first off, the beat's quite nice man. sounds good to me. i'm just wondering why you use a software like fl studio though you have all that nice hardware. i bet your beats would have such better quality if you'd record your stuff with pro tools or logic.

  • I've been a hardware producer for many years. This is my first beat using all software. The advantage I personally found for software is the speed and convenience of it. It's fitting my needs perfectly right now.

Pro Tools and Logic are both very nice programs, however; I don't need them. They won't make my stuff sound any better. That is a myth. It's the person (not the gear) that makes the MOST difference.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. :-)

  • i used to think that too, but if you just drag an mp3 on fl and listen to it, then do the same on pro tools youll see the difference and its huge. sonar and cubase also sound alot better. i just use fl for the sequencer then move midi to another software.

  • Hey djcripplecrunk,

I always give people's theory's a fighting chance because that's the only way to learn and grow. So I did what you said and immediately I heard a big difference like you said. But then I noticed that Sonar and Cubase played the mp3 LOUDER. After I reset the volume levels evenly in FL Studio, Sonar and Cubase, the mp3s sounded identical to me.

Thank you for your perspective though. It is appreciated.

  • is FL paying you or something lol? im not trying to argue or with you or anything but the sonic quality difference is very clear to me and apparent in the low frequencies especially. the reason the sound is louder in the other software is becuase the sound is pure compared to fl's almost muffled sound. take another listen.

  • I wish they were paying me! LOL! Anyway, thank you for your comments.

  • all together lol nice beat welcome back

  • great organic, lively and filler free, now looking forward to seeing you utilize the live bass to one of those fl. tracks.keep it up brother vince

  • theres no way those synth sounds came from FL Studio

  • I LOVE comments like this one. I promise you, yes they did. This beat was made entirely with FL Studio STOCK sounds. Thanks for your comment. :-)

  • damn, that beat goes hard, propz

  • FINALLY BACK!

  • Sorry, I know I've got a lot of questions lol... Did you used your yamaha rack to do it?
