@Mathieew Do you mean the bass pattern that fits with the pattern on the stack? That's not heel-toe. Or at least, I doubt it is. Just standard foot technique :)
dude this is literally the best cover i've ever seen on youtube, the sound is fantastic, your drumming is quite literally flawless, my hat is off to you... but i don't wear a hat
I've developed a habit of mine where I'll usually drum on my lap/desk in class to whatever song pops in my head. This did once, and I've been trying for months to get the intro alone down...on a freaking desk. And this guy does it on a drum set. Major kudos. Love the cover.
amazing job mate!!! Sounds like it's edited, but it's not!!!! just flawless playing. Loved the middle break down with the both hands on the hats....what's the count for the hats in that section??
wow how do you play with the left foot as the dominant (unless you're a lefty playing with a mix between right handed set up and lefty set up) cuz Trav Orbin does it but I'm pretty sure he's a righty... I tip my hat to you sir for having such independence with your limbs lol I wish I had half of that ability
First of all, HOLY SHIT. Second of all, the link for the PDF file is blocked by the piracy act or whatever. Can you upload it somewhere else please? Thank you!
I noticed you lead with your left foot. I do the same thing. I saw you struggling to nail those right foot patterns when you were doubling up on the hats at 2:45. I started doing it to excersize my left foot and it became second nature. Whats your reason?
Is it just me or is that some of the most emotion you've ever shown during one of your covers? At points you had that ole' oh god face, starting at 2:45, must I remind you that Koperweis skips this part during a live performance? Nailed it regardless, and I hate how well you can play all the single pedal work with your left. You bastard!
first off your a beast. but my question is, why is it that you most often, use the opisite foot for bass, when your doing a steady rythm with your hands?
@XxXapocolypseXxX I used to wonder that too, I always figured that him and Travis are constantly trying to improve their playing and technique. Do you play the drums yourself? If you do I would advise to try a little more with your less dominate foot, I've been trying to incorporate and so far it's going well, any by well I mean I am forced to stick to simple single bass groves, those guys are monsters at what they do
Even if you can't sight read notes it's much more easier to follow the songs if look at the notes. I can sight read but not prima vista so I could only play things I know already but the notes are there to remind me of time signatures or accents.
@jgolig i have seen Navene doing it,i dont know what the hell your talking about...stop with the competition whinning bitching man.....Navene is the drummer of AAL,,..one hell of a drummer!!!one hell of a band of musicians.....long live AAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@1234anti You're absolutely right, you have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. I love AAL. I wasn't insulting anyone. Go back under your bridge, troll.
@rockpig57 It's a CYMBAL. And it's a stack of a larger china cymbal that I don't know and a smaller, probably 12 or 14 inch, Generation-X Filter China, both made by Meinl. Well, I'm guessing it's the filter china, I'm not certain.
Great playing man, and quality song. Also your kits mix sounds great, what mics perchance are you using for the kick, snare, toms and overheads? thank you sir, keep it up.
are you lefty or righty? and what advantages do you see in using mike mangini's "symmetrical tom setup" where you have your two floor toms opposite your torso?
is it me or do all these youtube drummers use drum scores?
