I first heard this song at Videopolis at Disneyland 1986, had the time of my life, this was the bomb then and still is, 80's music will forever last, nothing comares to it
I love this video cause they did great for it being all their own work and everything but seriously I don't even know if I would have the patience to do all that. Maybe...but I would have to be pretty dedicated.
@joshipoop Technically, no one has the right to upload most of these videos, they don't the copyright.
They get taken down by formally filed complaints.
YouTube is constantly under fire for not keeping a lot of these off in the first place by the people actually own these. The Record companies, the artists, and movie companies. They are kinda attached to the notion of having control where they appear and getting paid like they do from radio and disco/night clubs.
@mmunson Actually, If the record companies, or whoever owned these, had any sense they'd upload themselves. It seems counterproductive not to have as many of these as possible up, so if you search "Sparks" or "Sparks - song title" people might discover something by them, they never heard before or not in a long while, which they may actual buy on CD or iTunes download.
@mmunson In Sparks case, getting all the record companies to work together could be mutually beneficial.
(Rant) Real world, they are all too busy trying to find the next Britney Spears or whoever is the present hot selling flavor of the month with little sense of marketing whatever classic recordings they already own. They want to make all their money in the first sales quarter than possibly making more, at more modest rate, over several years.
@joshipoop Bacicly they are a guilty pleasure and enjoy them while you can but you really don't have an authentic right to complain when they get taken down.
Why do people think copyrights don't matter?
If these companies didn't front the money, which they have a right to recoop with interest, a lot of these would never have gotten made or recorded in the first place.
One of my favourite Sparks songs but ironically, one of their least interesting videos... Usually, Ron & Russel's videos are absolutely awesome (When Will I get To Sing My Way, The Number One Song In Heaven (new version), When I'm With You)
@Homoholic According to Russell's liner notes for "Ultimate Profile: the Best of Sparks", they literally made this one themselves (Did their own camera work, etc), it took over six months, next time they got help.
Wait, is that guy in the trench coat Rick Rolling me? Cause it looks like hes Rick Rolling me.

Jokey lyrics that are in on the joke married to impossibly cool backing rhythms and percolating pop programming [Perfect!] : )
