I am the female in this video, and I assure you, it was not staged! None of our "digs" are staged. I didn't even know this was on youtube until 15 minutes ago! I remember the dig and some ducks are harder to get than others. This one came to the top after much digging inside the can. The video doesn't show all the digging prior to what you see here.
that certainly was hard work but it did not look that much effort picking up that geoduck finally and there were not much sand on it i wonder if they staged this a little bit.

At least this is a real geoduck, the majority of the people on youtube with "geoduck" videos are not even getting geoducks, they pull up horseclams, lol.
If you are accurate with the shovel, you can dig enough sand from around the stationary body, making it easy to reach in and pull out the duck with little to no hand digging.
