Hey I feel you on the critical thinking. Thankfully, my high school has a business department and I took a college finance class in my 10th grade. And I had this real cool teacher who preached critical thinking and he was one of my role models. It is a shame that it's a real minority that "really" knows about money.
Even in history class they don't always teach you everything. They put in the books what they want you to learn. Like how during Thanksgiving the pilgrims came here, learned the Indians technology and different techniques to hunt and grow crops.
