    ha para com isso

    os americanos e td invejoso..

daki a pouco elis falam q o jiu jistsu e delis tbm e muitas outrasa coisa..

dumont e o pai da aviaçao..

    a historia diz td..

TRANSLTE THIS ON GOOGLE TRANSLATE!

  • Santos Dumont:

    - Flight with witnesses and press.

    - Invention scientifically documented.

    - His machine took off and landed by its own ways.

    - His model was latter followed (adopted by posterity).

    Wright brothers:

    - Flight unwitnessed (probably, the flight didn't happened).

    - Invention undocumented.

    - Took off with the aid of catapult (not by its own ways).

    - Model not adopted by posterity.

This fight Dumont vs. Wright ends right here: "The Wrights dont have proof that they actually flew"... very simple!

no proof ! no rights ! (hahahahaha)

  • Esses americanos NUNCA ACEITARAM SANTOS DUMONT COMO O VERDADEIRO PAI DA AVIAÇÃO !!!

  • Dumont replica still flies marvelously. Instead the brother's flyer just can't took off. It simply does not work !

They catapulted it on the top of a hill !

I believe like that, even bricks fly.

Dumont was a genius. It was too much for him to see his invention been used to drop bombs over children. he took his life to be free of a unimaginable pain.

his voice will be heard somehow.

we don't need any more prove.

we just need history to be shared with justice.

  • I'm done with the petty argument. Believe what you like, who cares.

  • It's simple: - Neither Kitty Hawk...nor 14-Bis. The first CONTROLLED airplane was "the Demoiselle" invented by Santos Dumont, that's all we need to know (eh, eh, eh!)

    E chega!!!

    VIVA DUMONT E SEU AVIÃO....by

Pura propaganda ...

  • Estou contigo, Caxias.

    VIVA SANTOS DUMONT!!!!

  • The problem is that the Wright Brothers did not receive any kind of recognition until Roosevelt propapanda. Furthermore, you do need to learn french, german and italian newspapers reports about spyoining agent of the americans drawing details of 14 Bis. And the failed reprodution that DID NOT take off during 2003 ... Please, do accept that airplane did not have father, but was the final product of efforts of many people.

  • Mr. Warp, you DO NEED History lessons and forget all your "propaganda" inheritance" created by your media. Unfortunately you and many of your brothers insist to distort facts. For many americans the GERMAN Werner von Braund did not created missile (instead of Goddard).

  • VIVA SANTOS DUMONT O INVENTOR DO AVIÃO!!!!!!

    IRMÃOS wright MENTIROSOS

  • Santos Dumont ♥

  • The american brothers were searching for "patents", say, money. Do not forget the time they incorporated many things from others (Dumont, Voisin, Blériot) in their third plane, this one was totaly surclassed by Demoiselle. Only AFTER 1939, during a campaign to stir patriotism among americans, the USA accepted they as "the inventors".

  • caxias-You NEED a history lesson, you have you facts distorted. It was the other way around. Dumont, Voisin and Bleriot incorporated from the Wrights, namely wing warp or a mechanism to ROLL the aircraft into a banked turn not a skidding turn. In addition they also learned about coordinated turning and correct propeller design and the actual science of aeronautical engineering.

  • @CaxiasFreguesia SANTOS DUMONT THE GUY !!!! ALONE DID ALL...

  • Bel video, sapete dove posso trovare informazioni su Nicola Santo collaboratore di Dumont?Santo era originario del mio paese.

  • Someone mentioned -

difference btw both were "money versus human race". I just want to add that Santos Dumont shared all his prizes acquired in Paris with all the workers that helped him throughout the process.

    BR is a fairy tale.

Sadly Santos Dumont committed suicide during the First war, when realizing that his invent was used to carry the war.

Is there anything else to add???

So many great American, alike S.Dumont: Buckyminster Fuller.

  • Yes he did commit suicide and partly it is believed because of depression regarding the use of aircraft in war. But he did not die during the first war. He lived till July 23, 1932

  • You're right. It was after the Constitutionalist revolution in Brazil 1932, that was the moment that the airplane was first used in war. His suicide was just after that.

    Thanks for the insight.

  • he made the first machine able to take off.

    argue with that !

  • heart-It could take off, but it crash landed, and it could not TURN. I'll argue with that.

  • it simply did not work.

    still can not work today.

    prove it!

  • the first person to die in a air acident was a guy from usarmy, flying or falling in a brothers machine, yeah tha americans are the first...

  • gio-Again a foul, it was Lt. Selfrige, not just a guy. He had a name, he was an aviator, he was a pilot. he was a member of the Aerial Experiment Association with Glenn Curtiss. It was an accident, they happen in flying, a propeller problem, flying is dangerous business especially in 1908. Orville was lucky to be alive, thank god for that canard.

  • and the first santos dummond flight was in front of a crowd, they have fotos, videos, the wright brother made it in secret,if they made, nobody saw it,only they, maybe his mother, and interesting the first person to die in a air accident was a lt form usarmy that was fying in a writgh machine...lol

  • The 1903 flight was witnessed by citizens of Kitty Hawk, NC and it was photographed. You are not well informed.

  • citznes of kitty hawk? they were in a farm, and they want to make it in secret because they were trying to get rich, dummont did it to developing the human race, and his invents and experiments are opened to everybody see.until 1906 nobody claims for the first flight, but just after dummont did it,the writgh brothers apears and said" we flew too,in 1903",and to finish the 14 bis dumont 'S first plane, was rebuild many times and it fly until now,you can see in the video.

  • Again, you are wrong. Kitty Hawk is on the coast of North Carolina. Their 1903 flight was witnessed by citizens of the area, as well as members of the coastal life saving station. A local person took the famous photograph. The "farm" you refer to is Huffman Prairie, outside of Dayton, Ohio, and it was there that the Wrights made their 1905 flights, including the world's first fiqure 8 flight. These flights had many, many witnesses and were reported in the newspapers.

  • so why they don't claim for the first flight before dummont did it?and so why you never saw a flyer rebuild flying again?

  • The Wright Brothers first flight at Kitty Hawk was reported in 1903, as were their many flights of 1905 in Ohio. Several replica Flyers were built, and flown, in 2003. Read Charles Gibbs-Smith for the definitive account of the Wright vs. Santos-Dumont claim. Alberto Santos-Dumont is one of my heroes... yet he did not make the first flight.

  • no ,he did not make the first flight, because there are gliders and baloons before, but he made the first machine able to take off

  • The Wright 1903 Flyer took off under its own power. It used a guide rail, but not a catapault. This fact is clearly established. Santos-Dumont took off successfully three years later.

  • You're completely nuts. "Wright flyer took off under its own power..." This is a joke! Everybody knows that that piece of crap used a catapult and to "fly" needed a wind as fast as a hurricane... With such winds even a cow can fly!

  • The wright brothers flew using a catapult system with the right wind. Santos Dumont was the first to fly by its own means with no propulsion other than the plane's motor and with no particular wind speed necessary. Thus the first real flight.

  • i always cringe when i see old footage of the first flying machines. it just makes me respect the inventors even more, true creators, true guts.

  • Thank you for your clip on the Demoiselle, an excellent aircraft invented and built by a very great man. In response to the comment of "os idiotas americanos," both Santos-Dumont and the Wrights achieved powered, controlled flight independently. Can we not consider both Santos-Dumont and the Wright brothers "o Pai da Aviação"?

  • no we cant, because santos dummont was the first to take off without ground help, only engine ,the wright brothers made very researchs but they are not the first to build a airplane able to take off.

  • The Wrights did not use "ground help" on their 1903 flight. They took off with engine power alone. This is indisputable. Wm. Longyard

  • no they use assitence, like in a carrier, and santos dumont don't want money so his researchs are opened to all who want to see,his airplane demosiele was building in all part of world because he published the plan in magazines to all who want view

  • The wright bothers did use a catapult system...

  • The Wrights did NOT use catapult for their 1903 flights at Kittyhawk. They used a guide rail only. The power to launch purely came from the engine. In 1905, when they were back in Ohio at Huffman Prairie, they DID use a catapult, but that was only due to the short length of the field. These facts are indisputably proven by the great aviation researcher from England, Charles Gibbs-Smith.

  • Not according to the FAI, whch says that Santos Dumont's 14-BIS was the first aircraft to take off, fly and land without the use of catapults, high winds, or other external assistance. Now argue with that...

  • Ricky-First off it wasn't the FAI it was the Aero-Club De Frances, which had a vested interest in Dumont, members of this club were funding Dumont's work, so there was a conflict of interest and it was to their benefit that Dumont was judged as the first to fly, it was no as impartial as you state. Secondly, by 1906 most of the Wright's designs had been made public and were being copied, the 14 has a canard, similar to the Flyer.

  • Before we go further into this discussion, do some research and you'll find out that is a FAI statement.

  • ricky- Doesn't your FAI recognize the Wrights of "as being the first controlled, powered, sustained (from takeoff to landing) flight involving a heavier-than-air vehicle, using mechanically unassisted takeoff (thrust/lift created chiefly by onboard propulsion)."???

  • Ricky-The catapult is not the issue, the flight problem was control, READ SOME AVIATION BOOKS. I am constantly seeing posts about the catapult, you people don't get it, CONTROL was the major problem, coordinating warp with a vertical control surface was the issue, the Wrights were the only people in the WORLD who could fly in a circle in 1904, that is a MAJOR achievement.

  • Prove it !!! Show us the F-LIER 1903 or 1904 or 1905 flying.

  • But when they didn't they won the Prix de la Hauteur didn't they? They used assisted take off because it was effective, again read some of my comments, your ignoring them proves my point, your false nationalism. The Wright's could fly circles around the 14.

  • Prove it !!! Show us the F-LIER 1903 or 1904 or 1905 flying.

  • Legal!!
