  • I just got a Roketa 250-54B myself. It's pretty nice actually.

I do plan on upgrading the exhaust, sliders, maybe even bore after some use and breaking it in, to make highway travel a little less taxing on it.

$5 a week on gas, $120 a year for insurance and being able to fix anything that goes wrong myself with some spare money from the next paycheck are quite appealing to me.

  • It might be the Varator, they do have a rattle at lower speed.

  • mine has an internal exaust raddle

  • Hello can you give me some information on these bikes I've heard people say all kind of things about these type bikes. Based on the posting of this video. Are these bikes still running and if so how well and do you still enjoy these bikes. Would you say they will worth the investment. And by the way what are the cost of keeping bikes like these running is a very expensive all relatively affordable thank you very much

  • nice video,, we need more scooter touring video's like this to help promote this as a way of having touring fun.

  • can't wait till I get my motorcycle license.

  • Unless you live in a heavy urban area, a motorcycle is almost always better.

  • @Discombobulification naw not completly true....

the motor scooter has to be able to at least go 50+ mph

  • Yes, The VOG and Roketa are street legal here in Texas and most states. These both now have over 5000 miles on each and are running like new, or better.

  • Is All Motorscooters Are Highway Legal???

  • @alcid34 i think so but i dont think anyone in the right mind wants to try...

mainly due to the motor scooter over heating and the makers didn't espect anyone to bring em on the high way....

but yes the can go on the high way but they need to have a max speed limit of 70+ mph

  • wish we could have seen more of the scooters at the end when they stoped and a look around of both

  • county imports search them at go to ripoffreportcom and see for yourselves

  • i perfed to ride a scooter than a car i think people should start useing them cause of gas prices of cars scooters are a lot cheaper then cars

  • @bigadrian100 Absolutley dude scooters are way better then cars they are a hassle, mishap, bullshit thank you for your advice dude cause to be honest i bought a 150cc scooter today

  • I live like a mile from that lake!

  • @wevor4tard

Trevor, we live in Austin off Braker ln and Dessau, Lime creek is one of our favorite rides, we have ridden out to Marble Falls, that was real scenic. We like to trailer them to Galveston and cruise the sea wall, love the salt air. We camp at Lake Georgetown with the motorhome and ride all the small fm roads out there. Love to ride.

  • Ah, that's sweet dude.

I have a cousin that lives up by kelly lane.

That's cool, I always bring my Trailer home to south padre.

That's my favorite place to ride.

  • cant wait to get a mc 54 250b... do all the PDI myself, replace alot! and upgrade that thing.... there's a guy who had the same model for 21000 miles, still running strong

  • @walktherightpath there actually measured in km not miles so his bike didnt have 21000miles it had 21000km which 1km=.62mile

  • Hi there, how you doing? I will like to ask you where can I buy this scooter, coz I'm online 2 weeks trying to find the best site to order it from. So do you have any bad experience with yours? I found it for around 2200 $. but I'm afraid from scam sites, and the thing that they will not send me the title right away. So can you pls give me some info on the whole thing, and any advise about the scooter itself,is it worth it? Can you ride it with one more person without problems?

  • Very nice scooters man, saw your ad on craigslist for them..Maybe even people viewing this will want to buy them.Eltatertoto that area of Austin is beautiful, awesome place to ride bikes!!I live in Austin and have made many trips up an down that stretch.

  • @Shipton0266 SORRY, We do not know you.

  • How many miles on them?Any prob.with the chinese scoots?

  • nice dude. must be nice to live there! lol

  • The VOG 260 is stronger, mostly felt on uphill runs and off the line, the Roketa MC-250-54B is also the 257cc yamaha copy engine but The true VOG has a less restrictive muffler and a different Carburetor , it makes a difference of about 2.5 hp. Also the VOG is taller and rides smoother with the adjustable mono shock.

  • I just purchased the Tank 260DE which is the same bike as the VOG as far as I can tell. I know it has the Yamaha clone engine and it looks identical to the VOG, I wonder if it uses the same muffler and Carburetor. I'm still confused over all of these clones of clones. I'm wondering if the Tank 260 and Vog 260 are the EXACT same bike made in the same factory with different names stuck on or if different factories/companies build from the same plans?

  • id say one Chinese company will put whate ever name you want on it. provided you buy enough of them

  • I ended up not getting the Chinese bike and bought a Honda Helix instead,

  • I first bought the Linhai 260 chinese yamaha clone, then bought the Honda Helix. The Helix is twice the machine in performance and quality!

  • My Vog came from Scootertronics, it was ordered with performance improvements, It does have a different carb and less restrictive exhaust from my 54B Roketa, My VOG has the nitrogen filled Mono Shock, Other Vog copies have the dual rear shock and different front fork suspension tubes, lots of companies are building them, Mine was built by Xingyue China, fairly reputable and good quality.

  • @MAESOON2 So the Vog is better than the roketa

  • Which one is stronger?
