Whew! Finally remembered the name of this LP and track! Gorgeous.
Here's something on pedal steel by a bunch of Norwegians and one Bulgarian and equally pretty. It's "Traktor" on Surfin' USSR by Farmers Market. Amazon has a short sound clip.
@wbgo "Farmers Market" What a cool band - never heard of them before! Great arrangement on 'Lodtschitze mini Maritza (Ferry Cross the Mersey)' with the theramin-like steel break - a new favorite! Thanks much.
I used to have this album Loved it and lost it too..Nobody playes like Buddy Emmons It brings tears to my eyes that he is not performing any more what a gift he has.........
I used to have this album - absolutely loved it. It got lost in the shuffle of many moves. Any idea where someone could pick up a copy of this album. Some of the best stuff ever tracked for steel guitar.
@ejoe5 I was lucky enuff to pick this up at a used record store in Eugene OR way back in '78 - sure that there are copies floating around somewhere. I just sent you a message w/link for the mp3s...
There are no bad versions of this song, but this is one of my favorites... Thanks for posting!
