  • Do a search for "Adam's Rangie ute!" and you can find it, reincarnated.

  • The rangie lives again!

  • nice sound but blue smoke, you are burning a hell of a lot of oil

  • Yep. That motor has been consigned to the scrap heap and so has the entire vehicle, after all the useful parts were stripped out of it.

  • engine is dead

  • Had the very same blue smoke appearing on mine, also the head gasket was on its way out so instead of a rebuild i got my hands on a 4L Rover V8 from a TVR Griffith and dropped that in and boy it sounds nice. I like your dedication to the best vehicle on earth- the RRC! Keep it up only we know how lucky we are and until every else owns one they will be in the dark until then!

  • You don't know this man yet you are quick enough to call him names. Just so you know, the Rangie that Adam had just purchased back then has since been fully rebuilt and now runs on LPG, far cleaner in emissions than most other engines. What do you know about global warming anyway? Not much, it seems.

  • sorry, your right

    I got frustrated.

  • I'm sorry too, for jumping on your comments. I'll look for a link to show you some pictures of the rangie rebuild progress, but have to dig it out. Stay tuned! :)

  • That motor didn't last too long. A conrod disconnected itself from the piston and punched a hole through the side of the block and the motor was a throw away item.

  • Adam's rebuilding that V8. It's going to have top hat cylinder sleeves, and a custom tray at the back. So it's a Rangie "ute", as Aussies call it.

  • how much r u lookin for that im willing to spend around £7000 for the v8

  • Nice sound, nice off-roading, best car!

A bit of "uch uch"... smoke. But it's an pretty old car.

  • Nice to see how the suspension works.

  • ...if it´s blue - take more glue... ;-)

    Worn out valve seats....

  • 4.6 litre with worn out valve seals it seems.
