No, it was originally done in standard E tuning. I am sure that Metallica still do it in standard live since it is an instrumental with no singing.

bit they would have to retune the guitars. they dont usually do any intrumentals at all which sucks out of respect for Cliff who really was the one behind all the instrumentals
