  • For anyone who has a dalmation can you PLEASE message me? I want to know more about their shedding and size and things, love these dogs and am considering getting one! :)

  • wrong dalmatians you to comb them alot

  • @king10997 comb them once a week ^^

  • I have a little (or rather big) dalmatian puppy on the couch next to me.

He is a really patient and good boy, Can't wait for him to smile...I hope he can do that over the next few months. I love it when they smile (Although it is said to be a signal)

They are great watch dogs, but will never go and hurt the intruder lol.

Dalmatians for life, I will never have another breed !

    Thanks Rio my best friend.

Oh and do like me, give your dal only the best food available.

  • my dalmation are the most gorgeous dalmation of the world.! he's so beautiful and he's name is Astor :}

he's so huge! does't have spots on the face and the two ears are black!

But I feel bad cause he has 9 years. :/

    Astor I love you!

  • george washington actually would breed these dogs as a side hobby. Besides being the first president of the U.S. and fighting the Revolutionary War... :)

check out dogs 101 if you don't believe me!

  • very hyper breed, if your not active don't get one!

  • I think dalmatian is an absolutely wonderful dog, I love my little girl so much :)

But her tail is so strong that she always hits the objects when so happy that it gets bloody soo many times :(

Too bad about that, but I never seen a dog that would be so happy when somebody comes to visit but my Dina :) <3

  • i love my spotty man :)

  • i love my dalmation (zero) i loove walking in the morning with him =P he inspires me to run faster lmao since he pulls me all the time

  • its so cool that they come from Croatia haha ! well I knew that xD

  • their origens are NOT known there exist pictograms of dalmations on walls in anciant egyt...long before dalmatia. maybe the land is named after the dog you just dont know

  • what about the lemon spot dont they count

  • Orange and lemon are not in the breed standard. So technically they do not count.

  • One more thing. they ALL love a bad

  • I from Brazim and i have one, that´s have 6 years. It´s the best thing happens im my life get one of those. Two more considerations. First, they all lost hair 12 months per year, intencify in the summer and the ears need a SPECIAL care, aways, but aways check it out for wax, dirtys and possibles blood bag with happens when the dogs swing away a lot they heads.

Orkut photos Edgar Simões. Any thing e-mail me.

  • dalmatian need alot of outdoor.

  • dude i want a dalmatian friking bad. i've wanted one my hole life, and when i do move out i'm going to buy one, no matter what lol. i love them, they're the only dog i am obsessed with, not even kidding.

  • Check out my Dalmatian DOG TRICK videos! Love the Dals!

  • did anyone else hear her say " rub them down while their shitting"??

  • @RAVBD: Haha, I heard that too. I was like OMG. xP

  • i love dalmations!!!!

  • man i want a dal so bad :) im gonna save up my bday and christmas money to get one. i just hope i can have on at the apartment im staying at.

  • You are like me, I too want a dal, they are so special. Get an apartment where you are allowed to have a dog, the dalmatian will be your best friend. I PROMISE!

  • im probably moving right down the street from the beach too, hes gonna love it

  • Do not get a Dalmatian if you live in an apartment, unless you have some way to run them a mile or so a day. They're wonderful dogs, and not for everyone.

  • Thanks for killing that dream for me.

  • You know what? A dog is a dog, and every dalmatian owner I've asked say the same thing, 2-3 big walks per day is sufficient. And I am going to buy a dalmatian, and love it. No matter how small my apartment is. I will give it my life.

  • When you get ready, please know that a Dalmatian needs lots of attention. I call Raleigh "emotionally high maintenance". He's great, but they are high energy dogs. If you get a Dal from a good kennel, it will not be hyperactive - it will calm down after a good run.

  • I'll admit that I want 2 dalmatians named Pongo and Perdita when I'm on my own because of the Disney movie, BUT i would never get a dog I couldn't love and handle. So don't worry :)

  • I am pleased to hear the positive comments about my video and hope anyone wanting to have a Dalmatian as a companion will get a basic understanding of the breed.

  • @starswept101 I have a Dal and is VERY WILD!

  • ATTENTION DALMATIAN OWNERS!! My Dalmatian went to NORMAL shedding when I added Omega 3 to his diet!!! He also shed all year round before that. Cut his shedding down to about 5%!! You should see a difference in a month or a little more!!

  • The solution to the deafness and even the uric crystal forming issue could easy be solved by re opening the stud books and allowing back breeding with English Pointers...this has been done before and with great success.

  • Yes, I heard something like this a few weeks ago about someone who has done 12 generations of breeding Dals with another breed, perhaps the EP as you said and yes it has been a huge success. They are now trying to get this new breeding line registered. I will let you know when I learn more.

  • stunning dogs. you could have added that they are prone to defness! many people fancy the idea of having one because they are cute, not understanding hoe demanding they are, and not relising that they are prone to defness....so sadly they get rid of them!

    ;))))))))))))) great vid anyways!

  • gideone1, I would not use the word prone to deafness, but there is on occasion a deaf dog born due to a defect that might show up. Yes a good breeder will put these dogs down as a dog is defensless and always vulnernable to being hit by a car or been attacked. It was hard to find real good homes for these dogs and the Disney movie worked against the breed making back yard breeders who know nothing about breeding cross breed unregistered dogs getting Dals with bad dispostions. Shame on them.

  • great video! and very well put! accept the shedding part, cuz dalmatian's shed year round, which is horrible but their loving temperments makes up for it :)

  • Thank you for such a wonderful informative video on the breed. It is sad that Walt Disneys movie made so many buy and breed these dogs for "fun" Too many dogs in bad homes. I know many show fanciers who are responsible owners and for them I say thank you too. Well done.
