My G35 runs mid 13's on just intake, cats, exhaust. I'm getting a plenum spcaers and some tranny work done to it soon (gonna mess with final drive gears) That should put me around low 13's. You won't see a civic hande like a G, that's what the G was meant for.

the OP of this video knows SHIT about cars. For a SOHC civic to run in the 14's (which is what a stock G runs) u need to put a turbo or about $3000 worth of NA upgrades. Now that civic could have a GS-R motor or Type-R which the swap costs about $2k and a Type-R or B16 trans about $800-$1200 and could do what it did here. Description is a little misleading. Yes, Civics are slow from factory (aside from SI models) so obviously, it has a swap from an SI/GSR/Type-R of some sort. A G35 coupe still is a hot car, you have to accept that. It has very good suspension, it loves the twisties!! The body shape is to die for.
I have an 04 silver G35 coupe and I'm even using it in winter here in Metro-Toronto, Canada. It has decent power, 14.2 ET @97-98 MPH traps. The car is reliable too. It's luxury inside and feels good driving it.

@g35suck In a way, The VQ35DE is bad with FI initially, meaning it has limits on FI 'till you change some parts. In the MOD world, changing/porting cylinder heads are just hobbies/pass time; Changing rockers arms, tuning, modifying the intake, intercooling with fluid pump; Fuel pump harness strengthening, fuel pump higher pressure, etc, etc....
The G35 coupe is a luxury sports RWD which is not so good for Canadian winters.
The VQ35DE has 10.3 - 12 compression ratio w/c is bad.

the OP of this video knows SHIT about cars. For a SOHC civic to run in the 14's (which is what a stock G runs) u need to put a turbo or about $3000 worth of NA upgrades. Now that civic could have a GS-R motor or Type-R which the swap costs about $2k and a Type-R or B16 trans about $800-$1200 and could do what it did here. But for him to make a generalized post about that is stupid. I have owned a SOHC civic (DEF NOT THAT FAST), i own a 6MT g35 coupe and a b20vtec integra so i have credibility

Its all down to the driver in the end not the car, a bad driver wont do 13s in a G37, a good one can, if you time the shifts right and have TCS off and so on. Basically if you know what you are doing you should have no problem ripping off 13s in a G37(or 2nd gen G35, which is 07-08 model years)

where is ur information coming from? a G35 runs 14.2 run a stage 3 clutch lighter flywheel and a tune and some stickier tires u can get under 14 seconds dumbass. A twin turbo G properly tuned is hitting at 450HP to the crank (BOLTED ON) which would bring u around a 12.7 depending on the driver. so uhh UR DUMB. and like i siad before i have owned a SOHC civic, i own a G35, and i own a b20vtec integra so u cant even begin to tell me that my numbers are far off.

Description is a little misleading. Yes, Civics are slow from factory (aside from SI models) so obviously, it has a swap from an SI/GSR/Type-R of some sort. Not just that but a G35 weighs more then that Civic. Not embarrassing a G35 lost as it's a luxury car more then anything. Yes, it's a "Skyline" and has the same VQ motor from the GTR but seriously, don't expect GTR performance.
