Keep thinking your prius is gonna save the environment, It still burns petroleum and gets crappy gas mileage. I average 35mpg in my civic si (FA5), my uncle has a mini with the same k20 in it and he gets 50-60mpgs. In moderation burning fossil fuels is fine, its all a way for environmentalists to keep a job. Give me one environmentalists that has credentials to be perching this bull.
around 100 grand. not a very practical investment considering you have to replace the battery every 5 years which is most of the price tag. but tesla is working on a consumer sedan for much cheaper. but who knows if it will be practical anytime soon.
@JustinBurns Replacement Batteries are under $5000 (from Tesla), and its a 7-10 year warranty from Tesla. Not bad considering you dont need a mechanic to look at your car, just plug in a new motor or battery, around 5 min for a battery change and about a 20 for one motor. Its only gonna get better, Tesla cunt the price in half with a bigger car that goes further.
That just in five years, now everyone knows about Tesla, Even Toyota (New partner)
@JustinBurns its still practical for a sports car, considering the batteries actually last about 10 years and they aren't most of the price the power electronics module is worth a lot of money and you are also paying for the performance capability of the car too. Then you also have to consider people have already tested it to be about $4-$7 to charge it from near dead compared to a typical gas car with a 12-15 gal tank costing $30-$40 so you save a shit ton of money on fuel.
Does he really own A LOT of cars? How many? Where does he keep them?
