i use clear nail polish on the inside of the ring, seems to work unless you are sensitive to the polish...i think there are non-toxic glazes you can get from stores too.

Ivory is from the tusk of an elephant which has been killed by poachers for the purpose of selling the ivory on the black market. It is a totally barbaric and horrendous crime. That ring wasn't ivory, don't worry. It was most likely acrylic. Bebe is a environmentally constructive corporation (believe it or not) and not only do they not use anything pertaining to the destruction of animals or the environment, most of everything in their store including their shopping bags are made up of 100% recyclable materials. The other thing I wanted to say is about the first ring. If you really like it and want it to last, carefully feel the butterfly off the cheap metal ring. Go to a hobby store and buy a silver ring with a flat kind of plate on top meant to glue things on. They are not expensive. Simply glue the butterfly onto the new ring with quality glue and it should last you quite a while.

I have two things to say. One I would not buy ivory, ever. It comes from endangered animals who often suffer and die horribly to get the ivory. On the practical side in many nations you can actually be arrested for wearing ivory. I have a pair of silver and ivory ear ring after my grandmother and in most nations you are allowed to own and wear ivory but not allowed to sell it nor wear it across borders. By plastic, or resin or any other material, but not ivory.

i bought a really cute ring that was the same shape as the ivory one (2:25) and i was playing with it putting it in every finger to see how far it went in (i was nervous and needed to do something lol) and be very careful with those rings! they go on your finger and wont come out! lol it got stuck on my pointer finger and my finger turned purple! i finally got it off after rubbing lotion all over my finger and while i pulled one way and my cousin pulled the other way

I like this review on cocktail rings. The first ring... you can use E3000 to glue it back together... its the kind of glue that really really keeps thing together...

The second ring.. the ring base is called Lucite... it's like plastic but way way stronger.
