To all those commenting about big tractors using too much fuel, do the math before you become a passionate but uninformed critic. The environmental footprint of one man, one motor seeding 350 ha (700 ac) per day is much less than a fleet of small tractors. Especially with GPS/RTK guidance and no overlap, smaller tractors tend to not use that, they are still overlapping 5-10% on everything.

I hate to say it but this type of farming is on its way out. Try and do this when oil is $200 bucks a barrel. I am not trying to hate I am a farmer here in Alberta Canada and its just the cold reality that we farmers are going to have to face. We have become to used to the easy energy of oil and instead of changing the way we farmed we just add more energy to the process. I love big tractors as much as the next guy but I don't think they will be economically doable except for corporate farms
