  • 2:22-WTF! wooowww!

  • Whatever this guy does, I'll be watching and listening!

  • This has everything going for it, IMO. Rhythm, taste, harmony, but especially the urgency. Totally hip. Whatever ti

  • His playing in amazing for sure - reminds me of the days staying up until all hours listening to Coltrane, Ornette and Eric Dolphy, Rhasaan Roland Kirk - a little - but I just dont dig his tone when he starts picking behind the bridge pickup so close to the bridge - Weird sorta twang that doesnt bode well with my tastes.... but thats me who am I nobody.....

  • Pure Ornete Coleman dramatic and Smart Harmonic ,

  • Stunning!!!

You must use your ears first and let it enter you you - this is no flurry of notes any more than any advanced music has. Totally inventive just train your ear!

    Love to all

    Phil

  • I definitely hear a Frank Gambale influence, but he seems to flow more and be more creative. I'm sure we'll hear more great things from him.

  • this cat is on ~ WICKED note lines there so intense

    i love it

  • this guy is the future....i'm telling you man. the future!

  • wich song is this or in wich album i can find it ?

    anyone knows... ?

  • ...with the Yellowjackets?! Jimmy Haslip must have really changed LOL... and marcus baylor to... and Russell Ferrante is black? :))

  • Some of Baker's playing, here, reminds me of David Gilmore's playing on the first track on Jeff "Tain" Watt's Detained At The Half Note.

  • beautiful!

  • This guy's such a great guitarist. Also, he has what it takes to be one of those furniture store closeout sale sign holders who stand on the side of the road, grooving with their walk-mans.

  • @djengo77 i could walk around groovin with a sign for hours... stoned in a pig costume, just like les claypool in mr. krinkle video

  • this guy is brilliant. absolutely brilliant.

  • Cool line Bryan, I used to be your classmate, tradition counterpoint at Berklee 2005. Rock man!

  • @Suncreation666 just because a melody isn't singable doesn't mean it isn't a melody. That sense of "where will it go next?" is what intrigues those that love jazz.

  • @GuillermoSmyser problem is the way it goes next is just overfloating with notes that doesn't mean anything. It's further and further separation of music from emotional indgridients and turning it into play-doh. Just my personal oppinion.

  • @duszan2 So firstly you decided to reply to a year old comment to tell me that jazz is causing music to separate it self from emotion? Well that's obviously wrong. A flury of notes can be emotional. It is for me.

And it's ok if you don't like jazz but it's not affecting music as a whole in a negative way at all.

  • @GuillermoSmyser i decided to give my personal oppinion. I don't care whether comment is one or 10 yers old. does it matter? THIS track for me is deprived of emotion, but that's obviously my oppinion. Flury of notes can be emotional, but it's not for me in this case. I like jazz, not every jazz obviously.

  • SHITTT MUSICC !?!?!? OHHH Dammmm mann nooo don't say that. The jazz is soo good dude ... its your choice to don't love jazz but never say its Shit Music ... jazz is 24/24 in evolution.

  • I completely agree.

  • sick and delicious....
