BLM has the responsibility to designate and build trails for safe public use, consistent with protection of resources that belong to all of us. Unauthorized user-created trails may be hazardous to the public and can degrade wildlife habitat and other natural resources. It sounds like the BLM manager was doing his job by obliterating an unauthorized trail. The video should have explored this point.
BLM has the job of helping not ruling. "User generated trails" are at least 95% of the nations trail network. BLM needs to work with users to keep trails safe and usable not act as the agents in the kings forest. We have been GRANTED access through congress long ago. what part of "moterized are not allowed" do you not understand? The BLM agent said he drug the branches over the trail to stop motercycles. Some of those trails have been used by wildlife and humans for hundreds of years. The motercycles wear-in the trails and ruin them. Thats why on out public lands most trails are no motors. BLM agent who used branches and made a trail hazard...he used stupid poor judgement! They should get some cameras up on the trails ID and fine the motercycle drivers.
