Wow, watching so much Guild Wars 2 makes me want to play it SOOO much. I've been waiting for 2 years!!! Its almost upon us and I still can't decide. Ranger or Warrior? Can someone tell me which one does what best? I played Guild Wars 1 but with the new mechanics and everything will ranger do more "average" damage than a warrior seeing as a warrior has higher deffence and health? Or does a ranger rely and its pet to much? Any help would be great, thanks!
I did notice that the Warhammer online had the whole event areas where players could just enter into it and do the objective and in turn would get rewards based on how when it is you entered, how much did you contribute to the event, and most the time a body count of how many you slayed. Point being I was curious if GW II was doing the event areas just the same? That is to say if you got to experience that part of the game.

@Xzigy SWTOR didnt go into beta or advertise so much gameplay like GW2. Also, SWTOR is the same gameplay as WoW unlike Gw2s new innovative approach to mmo's. I'm sure WoW will disappear with the release of GW2.

I really don't understand how people can call this a WoW copy, I've never seen an mmo that is so different from WoW. This game really brings awesome new features to the mmo world. Tera online? I don't know much about it, but the few trailers I saw didn't look great, but it is though...
People who call it a WoW clone haven't looked up basic facts about the game, and are sometimes only doing so b/c they feel threatened. WoW can be fun, but a lot of people play it because other mmos tend to fall short. I played WoW for years and GW2 is the closest thing I've seen to be held up to and maybe even surpass it.
@Rosehelify I played wow on a private server for like 3 month in wotlk and 1 month in cata, but I never thought to pay for the real thing because of the monthly fees and because it was more addictive then fun to play. Any game with a monthly fee has a big minus for me because I'm more of a casual player, but this game I will totally buy.

Im not sure by now, but Charrs are around 2m + and norn 2,20m+. Like i said not sure, but in the books the 1on1, Charrs are quick and wild, Norn a big and strong.

@Zyphxion In TERA you can't walk through ppl in open world which opens lot of PvP options, but you can do it in towns which are crowded and PvP isn't possible there.
Except that it is already done properly in the most single-player rpgs, at least on the npc-player level. Easy solution to combat body-blocking is to implement pushing other players or npcs.

@LNcia I think the devs said something along the line of if you can run Guild Wars 1 at medium settings, you can run Guild Wars 2 on low. At least that's their goal. They want to make this more accessible hardware-wise than, say, Final Fantasy XIV which still runs like shit on even the best computers.

Guild Wars, WoW, all of those games, with Maplestory- like combat. In Maplestory, I can take out mobs without getting hit, while others may need to get hit a couple times to take them out, but that's the fun in it. Skilled players shouldn't get hit just as much as unskilled players, because, this sounds weird but, it takes away the whole skill factor all together. Can someone give me a reply with some information...
When I heard it was Dynamic Combat, I thought that meant very minimal turn-based and dodging, where if you are more skilled, you can get hit less or not at all. Can someone explain it to me, because all the gameplay I see makes it just look like GW1 or any other MMO. I was really looking forward to this game because of everything I heard about it, but I hate turn-based combat with a strong passion (except like Pokemon or something, that should be turn-based). Why can't they make an MMO like....

Im not sure by now, but Charrs are around 2m + and norn 2,20m+. Like i said not sure, but in the books the 1on1, Charrs are quick and wild, Norn a big and strong.

@Zyphxion In TERA you can't walk through ppl in open world which opens lot of PvP options, but you can do it in towns which are crowded and PvP isn't possible there.

Except that it is already done properly in the most single-player rpgs, at least on the npc-player level. Easy solution to combat body-blocking is to implement pushing other players or npcs.

@LNcia I think the devs said something along the line of if you can run Guild Wars 1 at medium settings, you can run Guild Wars 2 on low. At least that's their goal. They want to make this more accessible hardware-wise than, say, Final Fantasy XIV which still runs like shit on even the best computers.

Guild Wars, WoW, all of those games, with Maplestory- like combat. In Maplestory, I can take out mobs without getting hit, while others may need to get hit a couple times to take them out, but that's the fun in it. Skilled players shouldn't get hit just as much as unskilled players, because, this sounds weird but, it takes away the whole skill factor all together. Can someone give me a reply with some information...

When I heard it was Dynamic Combat, I thought that meant very minimal turn-based and dodging, where if you are more skilled, you can get hit less or not at all. Can someone explain it to me, because all the gameplay I see makes it just look like GW1 or any other MMO. I was really looking forward to this game because of everything I heard about it, but I hate turn-based combat with a strong passion (except like Pokemon or something, that should be turn-based). Why can't they make an MMO like....
