  • "Some of you are clapping at the end of one... and the third beat of a quintplet that starts at the fourth beat of the bar."

I just visualized that... laughed my ass off!

  • Ahh that part from "Ain't that funky now!"

I saw that before in one of Scheffer's movies about Zappa..

  • i keep hearing about ths scheffer guy. where can I find these films?

  • Oh, I think I was to that concert. I remember his teasing way of analysing people's clapping. Yes, Stockholm outdoor stages could be cold, so I understand his griping about it. That might be at Skansen, where they made TV shows with all kinds of musicians invited. I saw a few of his concerts, back then. Those were the days...

  • This stuff is so historical it makes me want to cry

  • :) we all age. well apart from the chosen ones who've had access to stem cell treatments for decades and are now on the verge of immortality itself.

  • @gypsydoc5 Frank would say, "that statement is historical because it was said in the past, so please a little better description please"... (ha, ha) Truly an amazing musician and a great tune!

  • How cool it would have been to be watching Zappa in Sweden in 1973.

  • who's that drumming? no good shots of him, aynsley dunbar by my ear, answers on a postcard.

  • Ralph Humphrey is the drummer on this one.

  • ralph humphrey - My Favorite , Along With Ansley(He Just Flicks His Wrists Around That Incredibly Small Kit - He's More Fluid Than Jeff Beck!Sorry Punky!!!

  • Yeah man, I never seen Dukey like this! Badass MF, and Frank's a genius...

  • I love this ...more avant-garde madness from my fav Zappa band. Duke is just a monster, the best keyboardist Frank ever had....This is the greatest vid. So glad someone posted it...it's the greatest....Aint it Funky Now!
