  • LOL, an explosive on a long pole. At least do your historical research. It had an auger that would drill into the wood hull, then detach from the submarine, leaving the explosive on the enemies ship.

  • Oh, and furthermore, you don't know how many nuclear weapons are onboard each ship. You simply know how many they are capable of carrying.

  • Your length estimations are very exaggerated. The Vanguard is only 471 ft long, a far cry from the reported 720 ft, or 2 football fields as you put it. The Le Triomphant, not Le Triomphe, is 451 ft long, again a far cry from 720 ft. If you intend on reporting on submarines, or anything else for that matter, please at least try to be technically correct.
