Hi I have a 180 I'm trying to light without breaking the bank. 72 x 24 x 24 any know how? Therer are no corals yet, but I'd like to be prepared just in case.
u can be creative there is high powered leds like up to 100 watts if u look on ebay u can find them at a good price but u might have to ship them from china.right now my set up has alot lik 25 for a 26 gallon it depends if its hard coral or or soft
When it comes to LED lighting, wattage per gallon is no longer a factor and really the wattage per gallon is kinda out the window old term basicly, its all about what type of corals u have and tank shape, hight ect.....
hey there. i am interested in learning what kind of leds i would need to grow hard and soft corals. if you could give me some pointers i would really appreciate it.

light looks good thinking of changing my halides to leds 3w set-up. I do notice red algea in your tank. I also see lots of micro bubbles usually not good, but its the beginning of a nice tank.
hi, is your LED kit similar to the nanotuners's kit? how are your hard corals doing at this time? are they as strong as advertised? thanks for yr time.
looks pretty sweet man. I thought you should have have 3-6 watts per gal tho. I also heard a bunch o stuff about lumens and other junk though too. You should scrape some of your coraline algae off and send it to me.
Hi is this eBay 3w led?

You have all that coral and anenome and just have it on LED lights? And only 30watts? Thought reef tanks needed 3-5 watts per gallon to function

this is most definitely the way reef lighting is headed... i really hope the price comes down on the high powered cree diodes ...as in half.
