Great song, great band. Those are you who take words too literal are dumbasses and that's why you're not the ones in a professional band. Most of the time, songs are plays on words with different meanings because the artists interpret their feelings/experiences that way and want to be more creative then just saying the exact meanings. Listen to the music and not the lyrics, it gives you a good feeling of the song.

Sometimes literally, the lyrics suck... But when you do realize what the artist is trying to do(through the feeling of the music), you can figure out what they mean by the song. But yes, Rise against does have some of the most creative lyrics in the world. Very clever in their word choices :)

I really love this song, one day I hacked my school's announcement system so this song would play at 8:30 directly after the morning announcements and pledge of allegiance. A week of OSS and I'm proud of it.
